Taste is a great book for anyone who loves cooking and romance. It is a love story between a culinary student and her teacher. The teacher has a lot to lose her job and she also has a daughter to think about. The characters are well formed and the story is well written. I would recommend this story to other people.

I need more Olivia!
I almost always like books that are about food, and this one was no different. Ki is a student at a Culinary Academy in her final semester. She's trying for an awesome Scholarship to go to Italy and at one of their schools learn for a year.
Taryn is the newest instructor at the Culinary school, and she just happens to be the teacher for Ki's very last class. She also has one of the cutest little girls as a daughter, Olivia.
They meet that first class, and not under the best circumstances. Ki is late. And yet, still the sparks fly from the very beginning, and so stars the twisty turney journey of a lesfic romance.
As I said above, I would have loved to see more Olivia in this book, the little girl was written so pitch perfectly that it boggled my mind. I just wanted to boop her little nose. (She'd probably give me a piercing stare if I did). Oh, and the romance and the rest of the novel was great too. The characters (including Scott *sigh*) were interesting, and the descriptions of the food definitely made me hungry for dinner. I was also a little worried about how Ms. Bryant would end the book, but I really shouldn't have been. It was a great ending as well.
Now, can we get Mary a girl too?? Heh heh....
I got this galley via Netgalley on behalf of Bold Strokes Books.
