4.5 stars

Ok...we have another hit on our hands. Max, I have to say might just be my favorite of this series. He is definitely my favorite Hero in this series. Total swoon-fest. This was a great addition to an already great series!!!

Max is the sixth book in Sawyer Bennett's Cold Fury Series and I have to say, I think these books have just gotten better as they have come out.

Sawyer has continued to give us fun, sexy and enjoyable story lines and characters in this series. A Hockey themed sports story is definitely my favorite. There is just something about reading about a hockey player finding his soulmate and true love. What I loved best about Sawyer's hockey players is that they are the perfect mix of strong and macho, but have hearts of gold underneath and are willing to do anything for the love of their lives. Max will definitely melt your heart in this story.

Max is a standalone novel told in Dual POV. None of the other books in this series need to be read before reading Max but just know you will see past characters from the other books in this story. So reading them in order will help you connect better with this cast of characters.

This story is kind of an opposites attract story. We have Max, a professional hockey player who is famous and wealthy. He just happens to meet Jules when she is working a night job at a convenience store. Coming to her aid. She is someone who has limited means and struggles to take care of her niece and Nephews . But she also has a heart of gold. Both are attracted to each other and decide to try dating. But as time goes on Jules' insecurities creep in. Can max make her believe she deserves to be happy?? Will they be able to get their HEA?? Read Max and find out.

I enjoyed seeing the other heroines from this series in this book. It was great reconnecting with Olivia, Kate, Vale and Sutton, oh and their significant others ;). It's always nice to catch up with the past characters. We also met some new ones that I look forward to reading about. I think my only negative about this book was how much Hawke and Vale were a part of the story. I felt that sometimes we lost focus of Max and Jules. But I still really enjoyed this story.

Every time I pick up a Sawyer Bennett book, I know I am going to enjoy the read, I am going to love the characters, and I am going to end up with a huge smile on my face. So if you are a reader who loves a sports romance and wants to meet a Hero who will sweep you off your feet...jump into this series and read Max!!!

Omg as I read each book in the series, they become my favorite! I don't know how but Sawyer Bennett makes each one just a little better than the last one!!

Max is a goalie and has puck bunnies throwing themselves at him and he could have his coice of any of them. But, he doesn't want just a one-night stand....he wants it all (love, romance). Until the right one comes along, he's totally focused on his career. But, what happens when the right one comes along?

Julianne is too busy to even think about men or sports. She's raising her sister's children and working two jobs to make ends meet. But, when she sees Max...HOLY SMOKES what a gorgeous man!

Saying I loved this book is an understatement! Sawyer Bennett cranks out the best book! Loved the characters!!

I loved this installment in one of my favorite series. Max was a great character and all around good guy. Jules was a super match for him! She was such a wonderful woman, taking on her deceased sister's three children even though it was incredibly difficult for her to support them financially. I really enjoyed the tender romance that developed between these two.

It was great to have this romance against the backdrop of the Cold Fury Hockey Team. I enjoyed seeing familiar characters from previous books, and I am already looking forward to the next one.

Max and Jules stole my heart. This has to be my favorite from Sawyer in this series so far!

Jules has been dealt a tough hand after her sister got sick and lost her battle with cancer. So Jules does the responsible thing and takes in her niece and two nephews. As Jules is working her second job, Max comes in and they cross paths.

Max is the new goalie for the Cold Fury and he is just wanting to focus on hockey and maybe a no-no snack or two. Jules may be the best distraction from hockey that he could find.

Sawyer really gives a authentic feel to what dating and hockey life would be like. Max stole my heart. Watching him grow and learn that normal isn't always the same for everyone was just what I was needing.

Max might be my favorite Cold Fury book yet! He has my heart swooning from page one!

Julianne Bradley is racing her sister's kids after she tragically dies. Now Julianne is thrown head first into a situation she was would never be prepared for and doing the best she can.

Max is ever women's dream and then more. He is so good to Julianne and her nieces and nephews! OMG I was swooning over every page! And the ending had my heart bursting!! Loved his book!

Oh, Max! I think you´re my favorite hockey player from this series!

Max is very focused on his career. When he meets Jules, he finds himself attracted and intrigued by her.

Jules is a hard worker, doing her best to take care of her niece and nephews. She doesn´t have time to romance.

Max will have to help Jules to deal with her insecurities and to convince her to take a chance on love.

With lots of ´´real life situations``, this book is a great read. Loved it!

I'll start by saying I usually love hockey romance books and that I haven't read any of the other books in this series.

That said, honestly I found this book lacking. I couldn't relate to Jules' character at all. I found her to be whiny, annoying and immature at times despite working two jobs and raising three kids. I admire what she did for her sister and how she took the kids in and essentially rearranged her entire life but UGH the whining and complaining needed to stop!

I LOVED Max! Come on who wouldn't? The guy was amazing, kind and put up with all that whining!

I struggled getting through this book because of my inability to connect with Jules.

Another great book in this series. I loved Jules. She was such a strong character. She would do anything for those kids. And Max. He saw what she was and how she handled herself from the very beginning. He understood the position she was in and supported her in any way he could. I loved them together.

The story itself was pretty basic. Most of it I saw coming. I think the chemistry between the two really set the tone for the book. I look forward to reading the next.

While this may not have been my favorite Cold Fury book, it was still good. This is an easy romance with very little conflict. Max and Jules both are easy going and mature adults. They talk things out and compromise. It is a nice switch after reading some many books with crazy drama. Max is the goalie for the Cold Fury hockey team. He is an all around nice guy. He has a normal family with not secrets. He believes in love. He believes in helping people and paying it forward. He is almost too good to be true. He meets Jules when he stops at a convenience store to buy junk food. He helps her out when she has a couple of bothersome customers. He is instantly attracted. He goes out his way to help her. He is even more attracted after he finds out her situation with her niece nephews. He admires her strength. The only issue would be Jules. She does not want people to view her as a gold digger and sometimes finds it hard to accept his generosity. It causes a little crimp but they get through it. If you want a stress free, fun, sexy book then this is for you.

Max is freakin' Awesome!!

Max is now my favourite Cold Fury man.
The entire team rocks but this guy is one in a million.
His attitude to life, caring nature and whole complete package just make him The Man to want...to read about.
He meets Jules unexpectedly and can see that she is more than she seems, more than she may even know herself.
Enjoy this wonderful story of feelings, family, strength, weaknesses and love.

I know that I probably say this every single time I write a review for this amazing Cold Fury series, but each book just gets better and better! I am sure that I have a favorite and then the next guy comes along and one-ups the previous. Max is absolutely fantastic!

“There’s something about you that makes me believe that everything is possible.”

Oh, Max, such a sweet, swoon-worthy man! There is just something about a strong, sexy man wearing his heart on his sleeve, and Max made sure his feelings were known at all times. Even if they scared him!

“And let me tell you something about Max. He’s the type that loves deeply. He’ll not only give you every bit of his heart, but he’ll give you his soul.”

Seriously, read this book! It is full of sexy and sweet, laughter and tears, and lots of fun. You get to visit with all the previous Cold Fury boys as well as their ladies. I couldn’t get enough of this story and I cannot wait for Roman’s turn next! -Tiffany, 5 Stars

I never thought this series could get any better until Max Fournier came into my life. Max was by far my favorite Cold Fury player to date. He was a true romantic at heart. He was sweet, sexy, passionate and oh so damn swoon worthy. I wanted to steal him for myself.

Sawyer scored with this one. It was like the prince and the pauper only sexier. Jules was an unexpected fresh of breath air while Max was a super hero in disguise. I loved that Jules wasn’t the same old whiny heroine and the push and pull in their relationship. She kept Max on his toes.

As usual Sawyer writes a sexy romance with lots of sexy times with some ice time and a super hot hockey team. I can’t wait for more in this series and know Sawyer has her work cut out to top Max.

Max is a triumphant addition to the Cold Fury series. Sawyer Bennett's endless supply of men that burn up the ice as well as the pages, show no signs of slowing down, and I for one am all aboard the Cold Fury express.

I flew through the pages of this sweet and steamy romance, and revelled in the emotional qualities it also had to offer.

No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dreams that you wish will come true. ~Cinderella

Since I was a little girl, I’ve always loved a good fairy tale where I could pretend to be a princess and marvel in magic. Today my favorite fairy tales are romance books, love stories with a hard-fought happily ever after. I live and feel fantasies through love stories like Max by Sawyer Bennett. Spellbinding, sexy, and sweet, Max is a sports romance with a feel-good fairy tale twist that sweeps up your heart in this magical and moving love story.

From the start, I was swept up in this romance like Cinderella getting ready for the ball. The synthesis of sweetness and sorrow that flowed from the pages both mesmerized and moved me. It didn’t take me long to realize that this hockey romance with heart, Max, is my favorite Sawyer Bennett book yet. I WAS ALL IN this fairy tale…hook…line…sinker.

While I’ve read other Sawyer Bennet romances, this was my first Cold Fury book, and oh did I immediately fall in love with the hero, Max Fournier. Max, the national hockey team goalie, with his brown hair, hazel eyes, and muscular, 6’5” physique, is ALL HEAT on the ice and off! While women throw themselves at this alluring alpha, Max is more of a one-woman man, a romantic, and oh did that make my heart go pitter patter.

“I get nothing out of a shallow woman throwing herself at me, with no real care as to who I am as a person. They see a hot goalie who makes millions, and well, that’s all they see.”

This Prince Charming, Max, has found his Cinderella after a few chance encounters that felt more like fate. Julianne ‘Jules’ Bradley is one of the strongest heroines I’ve met in a book. Beautiful with long, blonde hair, golden brown eyes, and tall, 5’9” body. Jules is as beautiful inside as outside and Max sees the light behind her sometimes dark life. Left to support her sister’s young children, Jules works two jobs and has no time for herself or any man. Well...no time until Max charms his way into her life with his irresistible zest for love and life.

“I have to believe Max was brought into my life for a reason.”

Jules can’t help but be enraptured with Max who has quickly become her hero with a big heart, fixing her problems and making Jules believe in herself again. Fast friends they became until that slow burn ignited to a full blown inferno where they could not help but succumb to that desire.

“The kiss is slow, luxurious, and sweet. It’s like his lips belong on mine. It feels so very right. And I want so much more.”

The passion from that kiss, which was so much more than just a kiss, permeated from the pages. I melted into a pool of mush as this hero and heroine are perfect for each other. Max made me swoon so hard—from his kisses to his sweet words—that I was floating among the clouds with butterflies dancing in my tummy.

“There’s something about you that makes me believe anything is possible.”

"There’s something about you that makes me believe everything is possible.”

The past looms like dark clouds, threatening to rain on Jules and Max’s newfound happiness.

“I feel like someone’s tied lead weights to my feet and then went and dumped me in the ocean. I’m getting pulled down and I can’t fight my way back up because the weight is too heavy.”

This Cinderella has to be ready to grab the life raft that Prince Charming gives her before it’s too late, and she sinks and while he rides off into the sunset solo.

“I have to believe Max was brought into my life for a reason.”

Sawyer Bennett wrote a sports hero that is Mr. Romance and oh was Max, both the title and man, PURE PUCKING PERFECTION! I SWOONED HARD, my soul soared high, and my heart was hit like a hockey puck over this sweet, sexy, and soulful story. This book is UTTER BLISS!!! I LOVED this raw, romantic, and refreshingly real read! I’m not ready to give Max up yet and think I’ll keep him…it…as I’m not done swooning yet.

4.5 ‘full of heart’ pucks (because hockey)
