After I requested this book I forgot that I had already preordered it. I am buddy reading this series and we just finished book 3. It is going to be awhile til we get to this one, so considering the first 3 have all been 5 stars, I'm anticipating this will be as well. When I do get this read and have posted my review, I will come back and fill it in here. Figured this would be better than leaving this open.

This was a fantastic addition to one of my favorite series. It has been so long since the last Smokey Barrett book, and I was thrilled to read this one. I certainly wasn't disappointed.

Smokey is back, happily remarried and pregnant. She is called to work a case in Denver where two families have been murdered and arranged on display. As she works the baffling case, there are some very dark twists and turns.

This one has wonderful characters, a gripping and disturbing storyline, and an ending that left me begging for more.
