We follow Eve, who has run away from home is on the hunt for freedom. She is merely sixteen and must stay out of the spotlight out of fear of being found. However that isn't as simple as it may seem once she meets West.

This story is well written with a consistent feeling of dread and suspense as we watch Eve and West fall.

Shadow of a girl is a poignant and inspiring novel about healing from the past, being brave, seeking help, and facing one’s fears. It is also the beautiful love story of Eve and West: two people who connect through music, cartoons and their troubled pasts. West is patient and caring of Eve from the start and soon realizes how much she means to him. Eve finds love, safety and peace with West that she has never felt before and slowly starts to let her walls down. I thought their love was so beautiful and realistic. I enjoyed the storytelling, banter and the story overall and give Shadow of A Girl 5 stars! Thank you Shannon Greenland for writing such an unforgettable story!

If I could give 10 stars to this book I would. I absolutely love this book. I really hope the story continues.
Eve is such a great character. The things she goes through to stay hidden. Wow. Basically we learn a little more about Eve as the story truly unfolds. We get an idea of how she lived her life and it's so horrible. Then we meet rock star West, whom I loved right away. West has his demons he has to deal with. And from the moment he meets Eve everything changes for him. West opens up his life more then he thought he could.
As always you all know me I don't want to give spoilers.... So with that being said go grab this book.

Eve. Eve is the main character of the story and she owns my heart. She is that type of character that I just want to hug really close and keep her save from the world. That girl, no matter how many times she tells herself that she is a coward, is one hell of a storng human being. She goes through things no one should go through. And she tries her hardest to get away from things and start over.
I loved every character in the book, well expect Gideon. Let's not talk about that guy. He is just the worst.

I love Eve's relationships with the other characters in the book. Her friendship with Bluma is just the greatest, it just takes a special kind of friend to help you out the way Bluma did. I loved her friendship with Anne (I also loved Anne as a character A LOT. Seriously, she's everything). I also loved the relationship between Eve and West. I loved the pace of their relationship. It didn't feel rushed, it was really nice and ah, JUST LOVE THEM. I also loved West's family, how welcoming they were to Eve.

I don't want to say much about the plot, I don't want to give to much away, cause I went into the story not knowing what the heck I was getting into. And this just ended up blowing my mind. It's dark but it's also beautiful. It'smaking you feel all the emotions and tugging on all the heartstrings. I really recommend it.

I really struggled to write this review. It’s hard to convey just how powerful Shadow of a Girl truly is. This book will stay with me for a while.

Shadow of a Girl is a YA romantic suspense so while there is a swoon worthy romance, there are also some dark moments.

Eve is such a great main character. She is strong and brave but lives in fear of her past. She has to learn that living in fear is not living. Gideon is super creepy and we have to deal with the suspense of not knowing the true extent of his relationship with Eve until later in the story.

I loved that the story centered around Eve being a roadie and touring with West. I thought their relationship was sweet.

5 out of 5 stars!!!! Eve (Nesiah) has spent her life as a shadow of her true self in hopes of staving off the emotional and physical abuse she dealt with daily from her "father." Therefore, after confessing to her longtime friend about the abuse she received they device a plan to get Eve to escape. Once Eve ran away, she hides behind a false identity as a roadie and ends up meeting West (a famous lead singer). Over time, West breaks through Eve's defenses and their friendship turns into something more ... but soon Eve's past and the lies she's kept hidden come to light and might breakup the best things she's ever known. Will it all be too late to save her?

This intense YA rockstar romance had me riveted from the very beginning. I loved the innocent passion Eve shares with West and how empowered Eve becomes throughout this whole novel. Especially since the best part of this novel is the interaction that Eve has with Anne and West! All three characters were awesome and very well written! West's sweet charm and silly flirting skills opened Eve up while Anne became the friend/mother hen figure Eve never had. It's a great teen romance that has Girl Empowerment out the wazoo! It’s simply wonderful.

West and Eve have a unique connection that I'd love to read more about. And while I'm not a big fan of how the ending left things hanging between them it doesn't change my feelings about these two together. They were/are meant for one another!! I LOVE them together as they match up so well. 💗 💖

I HIGHLY recommend this YA rockstar romance!!!
