There is a lot of suspense in this book and it is fast paced. No getting bogged down.
Many thanks to Thomas & Mercer and to Netgalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

I have read and enjoyed previous books by this author and this one did not disappoint. It had a great plot with well-written characters. The idea that a company like Infidelity Limited could exist is, quite frankly, terrifying!

A very strong 4 stars

What would you do if you found out your husband was cheating on you? Divorce? Forgive? For Olivia Shaw, she hires Infidelity Limited to beat him up. Unfortunately for her, the company is more about murder and blackmail. So now she must bring Infidelity Limited before she is arrested for her husband's death.

I enjoyed this fast paced thriller. The ending was really intense. It was a great story and I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

Thank you to NetGalley, Thomas & Mercer and Simon Wood for the opportunity to read and review "Deceptive Practices".

This is certainly a page turner- highly plot driven and not particularly complex but pretty entertaining. Olivia is a good character who makes better decisions as time goes by. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC-try this for a fast read which definitely will make you think twice about the concept of getting even.

A great thriller ! I was captured by this book from page one and unable to stop reading until the end. It was sheer excitement and a great premises for a thriller.
Olivia has worked hard to create a life she considers a success after a rough background. She loves her husband, her work and her social life. When she finds out her husband has been cheating, she hires a firm that specializes in " teaching" cheating husbands a lesson. She soon finds out that her revenge comes with a price and that price can be murder.
This is a well crafted fast paced thrill ride . I loved the characters and the plot. Olivia was a strong, independent woman who on her own and in peril rose to the occasion. She was a refreshing protagonist with her strength and intelligence in difficult situations. It is great fun to read about her exacting revenge on those who harmed her. This is a great revenge read for any woman who has been cheated on.
All in All it was a excellent read that I highly recommend for your reading enjoyment.
Cross posted to Amazon. Thank you for the advance reading copy which did not influence my review.

This book was REALLY good. Kind of too good on the whole "get back at a cheater" thing.

Olivia Shaw finds out that her husband is cheating on her. Her sister tells her that there is an organization that will teach him a lesson. Little did she know that they would kill him. This leads to her involvement with this sinister organization and she struggles with the cops who are looking at her and what the organization expects to do next.
She calls an old high school boyfriend to help her out of this mess. They devise a plot to reveal this organization while keeping her out of the line of sight of the police who suspect her in her husbands death.
Very well written and sails right along.
I found the sister to be a rather despicable character and really dislike characters/people who blame their issues on others. But, I guess the more bad guys the better!

What a wild ride! An entertaining read that I finished in a few hours. There was some things that were a bit far-fetched but overall still a good read.

I've read Simon Wood before and found him to be a very good "thriller writer" With infidelity, blackmail and murder, what more could you ask for?
