Great book. Love the believable characters and the story lines for each of them. Almost wish storyline was ongoing....

I look for book recommendations from all sorts of sources – other review bloggers, book friends, I’ll take them from pretty much anywhere. Once I know I can trust the books are to my preferences I’ll listen to them across genres and look forward to reading different recs. One of my favorite sources for them is various authors that I follow. A few authors that I love both their books and their recommendations are Sarina Bowen, Jen Frederick, and Nalini Singh. Something Borrowed came recommended from Singh.

I really enjoyed this pretty much from the beginning to end. It starts with Chloe being left at the altar, which is obviously devastating. But what’s portrayed is more of the anger than the sorrow which I loved because I was worried it would be too hard to come back from something like that from a reader perspective at the onset. The anger is balanced with the sadness and humor so that we can get to know Chloe and begin to like her, and begin to hate the groom and anyone who had anything to do with the whole debacle.

Because of the disaster of a wedding her family-owned wedding planning business, Something Borrowed, is a hot mess a a few months later and Chloe is scrambling trying to save it. One of her clients brings it to her attention that Vaughn, the best man who delivered the bad news the day of her wedding, is back in town. From there the book has a lot of humor which includes online dating fun which is always one of my favorite things in books.

Vaughn won me over almost immediately. This whole book did. I can’t wait for more in this series, and really more from this author in general!
