Teddy has been through more than any teenager should. While going through the rite of passage of learning to drive with this dad, a drunk driver hits their car and kills his father Stan.

The aftermath of this horrific event is told through both Teddy's and his mom, Mary's eyes. The struggle both are faced with is heart wrenching, while at the same time, hopeful. In an effort to further advance their healing, Mary opts to move her family from Arizona to Indiana.

I loved they way in which this story unfolded; even with such a tragedy the story exuded hope and peace.
