Just what the title says: a good book for beginners. I particularly liked how the book is organized and that options are given for specific plants, so gardeners in all zones feel included.

This book had a wide variety of ideas to make your yard look wonderful. It was nice to see such different projects. The author also provided good explanations about the different growing zones.

Breaking down projects into manageable pieces is a smart and simple way to re-do a large area. Using a relatively small house to showcase, includes those of us that do not have an estate with gardener as many gardening titles assume. This is an easy-to-follow recipe for redoing your garden with suggestions for plants and designs. Well done.

A really comprehensive informative gardening book., that is affordable. This book takes the worry out of gardening.
