A really good read that I couldn’t put down. This book reeled me in from the start. I recommend this book
I tried to make it through this book, but it was so boring. From it seeming to be about Jon and Sage to Sage and her father. Also, the repetition was so tedious, we didn't need Sage's self reflection repeated over and over.
The Second First time is a love story between writers who take a road trip. These characters have difficulties communicating which causes problems. Ounce this is resolved they turn from friendship to love. I was not a big fan of the unfiltered discourse between the main characters.
This is a book which explores the idea of a second chance.
Jonathan Moss and Sage Merriweather are novelists who share a strong connection. Only when faced with the idea of a cross-country drive to get closer becomes terrifying, they essentially end their relationship.
One year later and Sage is wondering 'what if' a lot. Jonathan invites Sage on a do-over road trip from Phoenix to Tacoma, but this time she accepts.
This journey with long stretches of togetherness uncovers their true feelings. And, it shows that people can have a second chance to see if a relationship will work.
