I have read Maxwell's Evermen series and the first of the Shifting Tides series and I was over the moon to be offered a free copy of this book for an honest review! The second book in the Shifting Tides series was better than the first! Such an intriguing story with every twist and turn imaginable... this is a masterful, beautifully told epic that simply engrosses the reader on their journey. Well worth your time.

A competent enough fantasy but nothing special. I found it hard to get involved with the characters, all of whom seemed rather one dimensional.

Continuing on the story of the Eldren etc.... just wondering on where things go.

We travel across the lands, we get our hero becoming a Pirate King, we have wars and revenge all over. We have the old races returning to the lands anew. We have age old sorcery coming back in our heroine.

Excellent book and looking forwards to the next in the series where I am sure the old world and new world will collide.
