Its a cute slightly cheesy romance. Definitely something light hearted. I hated the nickname Maverick had for Lindsay. Sugar or Sug… nope! Not a fan. Made me cringe every time I heard it.

I really wanted to like this one, but Maverick really rubbed me the wrong way with how he approached things with Lindsey. He came on a little bit too strong especially after Linds went through absolutely traumatic. And the amount of times she constantly said no to him, he just didn't listen. And the one thing that seemed to fuel his persistence was the one night of passion they shared, he wanted that again, but not anything permanent? It was a bit messed up for him to do that to someone that was sexually assaulted and nearly raped.

With such a heavy topic and Mav's kind of an a-hole personality, this one's a pass.

I love the fact that this author has carried over some of her previous characters to this series. While this story seems somewhat similar to some of her other series, it was still a great read.

Lindsey and Maverick are great together. I love how Maverick feels like can help Lindsey resolve her issues without getting involved. Best laid plans and all that. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book provided by NetGalley.

What a powerful story. This book has a lot of heart ache in it. But with the heart ache comes a lot of love and friendship. This book is about healing and about living the one life you are given along with being a steamy romance. Loved, loved, loved this book.

An extremely sweet but sexy read! Maverick was ridiculously suave but uncharacteristically sweet trying to get Lindsey to open up her life again. I'm not sure why he was so against having a relationship to begin with, so I was annoyed he was so against it. But with the help of his family, he finally figured it out. Can't wait to read Nick's story based upon the epilogue.

Lindsay was going to Dr. Ted Stamos’s funeral even though her injuries weren’t even close to being healed as it had only been a week since Lindsay had almost lost her life on one of her night shifts in the ER. Two of her colleagues had died that night. Lindsay tried to tell herself she was safe. Lindsay was dealing with a severe case of survivor's guilt. Maverick had a one night stand with Lindsay over a year ago. Maverick had sat next to Lindsay and told her to breathe. Maverick was a fighter pilot. After a year Lindsay is still dealing with so much survivor’s guilt she can barely stand it and is afraid to leave her home. Then Lindsay goes back to work at the same hospital. Maverick is Lindsay’s best friend Spooky’s brother in law. Maverick decides he must fix Lindsay. Then Maverick’s uncle Sherman had the idea to have Lindsay co chair a fundraiser for Vets with PTSD. Maverick decides he’s not a one woman man but he still wants to sleep with Lindsay again. Maverick has suffered his own trauma with having been a POW. Maverick knows Lindsay needs human contact so she doesn’t hide away from the world. Lindsay can’t stand to be touched by anyone and Maverick swore to never love another woman. I liked this story to some degree. But a lot of things I just didn’t like or understand. Like why was there no hospital security? Also why would Lindsay go back to the same place to work I sure wouldn’t with all the bad memories there. I also didn’t really connect with Maverick . But I did like how he was determined to bring Lindsay back to a real life. I didn’t at all with the romance between Lindsay and Maverick. I felt horrible what happened to Lindsay and felt Lindsay’s reaction to being attacked very realistically and Maverick being a P OW. I applaud the author bring to this story the different cases of PTSD though different in nature but just as hard for both Lindsay and Maverick to deal with. I did like the plot also.

I liked this ok up until the end which kinda felt rushed to closure and not very genuine. Hope the next one is better.

Yes!!! I have a new author to read! AND, I have a new billionaire family to fall in love with!!!

I took a few days and spent them with the Armstrong family.

The Billionaire Aviators is a series that focuses on the Armstrong family. Each book is the love story of one of the Armstrong brothers. Currently there are three books that have been published in this series.

Turbulent Intentions (book 1)
Turbulent Desires (book 2)
Turbulent Waters (book 3)

Turbulent Desires focuses on Maverick Armstrong's love story. I have to tell you, this was my favorite book out of the three of them.

It is rare when a prologue captures your attention and has you nearly in tears. The prologue for Turbulent Desires had my heart racing. I was on the verge of tears. But it perfectly set up the events that happen between Lindsey Helm & Maverick Armstrong.

Watching Lindsey come to life was pure magic!

Melody Anne, I am so glad that I finally had the opportunity to dive into your work. I have had a lot of your books on my kindle for a few years now. Finally I dove it! I am so glad that I did.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
There was definitely excitement, tears and a sexy alpha male.
Lindsey feels broken after a horrific incident in the ER one night at work. Maverick is determined to show her that life can still be worth living.
I liked Lindsey's character. She's strong, even though she wants to fall apart. She knows what she wants, even though she might have problems going after it.
Maverick is definitely a sweet guy. A little annoying that he keeps saying how much he likes Lindsey and can't let her go but in the next breath, is plotting how to end their relationship.
But overall, I enjoyed the book and couldn't wait to read on about Nick.
4 stars!

I thoroughly loved reading the amazing and awesome romance story by the phenomenally talented Melody Anne. I received a copy of the book by NetGalley.
Lindsey Helm is a nurse who is attacked late at night and almost killed. Maverick Armstrong, a pilot, is determined is build Lindsey's confidence back up and to protect her with his life.

Fantastic! I couldn't put this one down and I can't wait to read more in this series!

Let's start this year by talking about Turbulent Desires by Melody Anne, a romance novel that centers around the world of Aviators. Now there is a subject I have no idea about, so I was very curious to see if I would find it as interesting as some of the other Montlake romances that had been released recently.

Well, I did. Melody Anne took her time to develop a lovely cast of three-dimensional characters, who were easy to connect with. Maverick (okay the name is a little cheesy, I must admit - Top Gun anyone?) is a caring alpha male, who knows what he needs to do to get his job done. But one thing he did not count on that is falling for a woman who can not stand to be touched be anyone, after going through hell and back. That is exactly were the beginning of the book takes you - in the middle of a late-night attack that almost kills her, but leaves two colleges who were more than just colleges to her, dead. Her struggles to overcome her experiences, and his struggles to not fall in love with this brave woman is what drives this story.

While Turbulent Desires is a part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone book. I have not read the first part of the series, but will remedy that shortly, because I fell in love with all of the characters, and family members, and want to know more about them.
I have become a fan of Melody Anne, and am looking forward to exploring all of the other books she has written. So you can be assured that you will find her name appearing on my blog more often from now on.
