This book is my favorite in the Lowcountry series. A character familiar from the other novels takes center stage in this one, but it could be read as a stand alone book. Taylor, a Marine veteran is celebrating Christmas with his family in his home. He remembers a Christmas a few years before where he comes home battling PTSD. His family realizes he is different but it takes them a while to be able to deal with it. This is a special book, highlighting Pets for Vets and PTSD but also the importance of family. This novel will make you laugh, cry, become angry, and happy. You will experience pretty much every emotion. This book will truly put you into a Christmas spirit.

MAM's stories always have a protagonist that tugs at your heartstrings. You are so caught up in the story that you sometimes forget to breathe and you are left longing for more. This one is another winner.
