Is this love or just a game?

Tori Rivera thinks Jamie McCade is rude, arrogant, and worst of all . . . the sexiest man she's ever laid eyes on. His reputation as a player is almost as legendary as his surfing skills. No matter how her body heats up when he's around, she's determined not to be another meaningless hookup.

Jamie McCade always gets what he wants. The sickest wave. The hottest women. And Tori, with her long legs and smart mouth, is definitely the hottest one. He knows Tori wants him-hell, most women do-but she won't admit it. After months of chasing and one unforgettable kiss, it's time for Jamie to raise the stakes.

Jamie promises that soon Tori won't just want him in her bed, she'll be begging for it-and he might be right. Somehow he's found the spot in her heart that makes her open up like never before. But with all she knows about his past, can she really trust what's happening between them? Is Jamie playing for keeps or just playing to win?

This book can be read as a stand-alone.
Book 1--Four Letter Word.

I highly recommend the Dirty Deeds series! Jamie is swoon worthy. I love everything J.Daniels writes!

I love, no scratch that. I FLOVE JAMIE!!!!! I knew this book would be amazing. J. Daniels is just good like that. As soon as I saw that I got the widget for Hit the Spot, I downloaded and started it right away. Heck, I even stopped what I was reading because I just had to get Jamie and Tori's story. I'm a book whore, what can I say.
This was everything I thought it would be and so much more. I loved Jamie and Tori's characters. Jamie really surprised me.
Okay, I'm not saying anymore because I do not want to give away any spoilers. They are just itching to come out.
If you haven't read Four Letter Word, I recommend reading it first.

It's so weird that every time a sexy scene occurred Bedrock by Young money and Lil' Wayne came blasting through my ears. It's hot and sexy. This book is EPICly panty-dropping. Jamie and Tori's banter is so hot that you can feel the sexual tension. Definitely the best December book I've ever read. I won't forget about this. This series is getting hotter and spicier.

Tori Rivera is Sydney's best friend where as Jamie McCade is Brian's best friend. This was a bit of a love hate relationship or a one protests too much courtship.

~Shaken up. Embarrassed. Letting this loser touch me.~

Have to admit I didn't love Tori's term of loser when it came to Jamie. This didn't endear me too much, even though the term is supposed to have a loving quality to it.

"Made an assumption and it's one anyone would make considering' what you do for a living, babe, so quit with the tantrum. Know I did your attitude but only when I'm askin' for it. Now is not one of those times. . . "

"Claim me, babe, otherwise you got no reason to be throwin' attitude and tellin' me to leave. I didn't do shit, and you thinkin' I did and not trustin' I'm with you, even though you ain't admittin' that's where you want me to be is fucked up. Same as gettin' mad at me for shit we both let happen. I'll feel that, babe, but you're feelin' it, too."

I felt there was some unnecessary and irrelevant angst that was added to the story. I don't think it added to the story instead it had a bit of an opposite effect at times.

Though in the end I did truly like Tori and Jamie together. They compliment each other very well.

4.5 Smoking hot stars

If you like smoking hot surfers with a hidden heart of gold, this book will HIT THE SPOT!

Hit the Spot is the follow-up to J. Daniels' Four Letter Word. It's super fun, smoking hot and utterly perfect. I loved Tori and Jamie from Four Letter Word and I was eager to get my hot little hands on their book and I gotta tell ya, J did not disappoint!

Jamie is a highly decorated, championship surfer. He's been in the water from babyhood, when I'm sure he had all the little girls swooning in their diapers. Man, has our boy ever grown up well. He's a total smart ass, hot as fire and he never loses. Ever. He's set his sights on Tori and he doesn't plan on giving up his winning streak.

I love smart, fiesty, take no crap heroines and therefore, I had an awesome girl crush on Tori in the first book. While she did feel a little more tentative in this book, I understood her on an emotional level. Tori has been a sucker for love and all its done is hand her a bunch of losses. Jamie is a player and has heartbreak written all over him. Though she's wildly attracted to him, she fights it because she doesn't trust Jamie. After walking in on one of his escapades, she's determined to resist his (unrelenting) charm!

Their relationship is a game of denials, battles and constant need for reassurance but that's why it feels so real. I love these characters. Tori is a girl that feels like a friend and Jamie...he's a Kristin Ashley-esque, alpha man. I lovvvved Jamie! It was also fun to see Syd and Brian and the whole cast of characters from the first book. I am eager for Stitch and Shay to get their story, as well! Loved this book! Jump in with both feet, you'll love it, too!

This book was such a fun and addicting read. I may have loved it a bit more than the first book in the series.

I read this book in one sitting. And in all of J Daniel’s glory... this book made me feel everything. I have recommended this book tirelessly. Like crazy. Because this book is one of the best ones out there. So well written and with characters that you fall in love with in 0.5 seconds.

So I've been anxiously awaiting the release of Hit the Spot since I read Four letter Word (which is also a 5 star read). I was one of the lucky few who won an ARC of HTS, YAY!!!!!

I loved the banter and back & forth between Jamie & Tori in FLW & just knew their book was going to be off the wall fantastic!!!

This book is HUGE on the chase factor and Jamie will stop at nothing to make Tori aka Legs see what he sees between them. Tori is adamant that she wants absolutley nothing to do with Loser, Jamie McCade.

The tension between these two was so thick it could be cut with a knife, it was palpable, you could taste it!!

Now Jamie has a filthy vocabulary. He spews the dirtiest, alibet sexiest words EVER!!! I personally loved it but not everyone will. You've been forwarned & if you read Four Letter Word (which you really should) you will discover that Jamie is a MAJOR manwhore. Manwhore of epic proportions. Just so you know in case you have a hard time falling for a Manwhore Hero. I totally fell for Jamie "Loser" McCade like an A-Frame wave. **Yes I looked up surfer lingo to perfect that sentence, LOL**

Now Tori "Legs" Rivera is a sassy spitfire who has been broken by a previous lover & has cursed men forever. When she sees Jamie for the first time she's drawn t ohis beautiful smile until he opens his mouth. After that all bets are off & she has a secret little thing he does every time she comes into Whitecaps. She really puts up a good fight but Jamie isn't backing down & maybe she'll see past his Manwhore ways & just let go.

To say I loved this book is an understatement. I love this series & can't wait or Shay & Stitches story.

**Although I won an ARC of HTS it has not affected my review. This is my true & honest opinion of this book**

I was intrigued with Jamie when I read Four Letter Word, the first book in this series. I knew there was something deeper to the hot as sin manwhore and champion surfer, Jamie McCade. When Tori Rivera set her “no strings” sights on Jamie, she wasn’t successful—with Jamie already being occupied when she made her move. Having given up on bedding him, Tori moves on, as well as one can while being ogled daily by said hot as sin surfer dude, Jamie.

There is a bit of a cat and mouse game going on between Jamie and Tori, and when they finally stop fighting long enough to trap one another in a sexy bet, the heat between these two is off the charts! Jamie’s reputation as a beast in bed is well-earned, Tori learns. When white-hot chemistry and feelings start to mix, it scares the crap out of Tori. When she and Jamie stay out of bed long enough to get to know one another, they’re both surprised at what they find.

I don’t want to give any spoilers, but I was a little in lust with Jamie in FLW, but I fell madly, deeply in love with him not even halfway through this story. Like Brian, he’s very alpha, but also very complex. He throws quite a few curves at the reader. He and Tori burn up the pages—or screen if you have a Kindle.

If you read FLW, you’ll get to catch up with Brian and Sydney, and all their friends and family. I’m hoping to read more about Jamie’s family; they were quite interesting. I adored this story, and I didn’t want it to end. A true testament to J. Daniels talent as a writer. She can give you plenty of heat, but there’s also a great story that gives you feels.

Hit the Spot is the second in the Dirty Deeds series.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book, and I give it 5 stars.

I could not wait for this book to get into my hands. And now that I have it... I'm glad for the wait, because this book was honestly better than I even thought it could be, and I already had pretty high hopes for it after Four Letter Word.
Jamie was just one of those characters that you can't help but love, especially after how much we kept getting these little bits and pieces of him in FLW.
And as his story kept going and growing it just made me fall for the adorable hunk even more haha.

Plus his chemistry with Tori is off the freaking charts.
I love the two of them. They have that whole love to hate you thing going on... And it made for a lust filled story with some amazing banter that just built and built until it was finally able to just combust.

J. Daniels wrote such a good story in this book, and really was able to develop these lovable characters even more so than she already had started to in book 1.

This book was a fantastic read, and honestly what's better than the beach, some hot surfers, and a fun romantic story line? haha

3 ½ Stars!

Hit the Spot is a book that I couldn’t wait to read after finishing Four-Letter Word. The chemistry between Jaime and Tori was so evident in the first book that I couldn’t wait to see it finally play out. I have found that couples who fight the most sometimes have incredibly explosive chemistry in and out of bed.

Unfortunately, I found myself really put off by Jamie and his crude language and aggressive way of relating to Tori. He came across as very immature, rude, and cocky. Sometimes those types of heroes really work for me. If the author is successful in getting them to soften a little bit, at least towards that heroine, I can be moved. Jamie’s character never softened enough for me to care for him very much.

I did like Tori’s character. She stood up to Jamie’s overbearing arrogant personality with an inner strength of her own. She didn’t fall all over herself trying to get him to notice her. On the contrary, Jamie noticed her all on his own!!

There was a bet in this book where Jamie and Tori both bet who could hold out longer from begging the other for sex. This was a fun part of the book, as both participants were set on winning the bet and were desperately trying to get the other person to bend. This set up some pretty amazing scenes between these characters.

Overall, this was a light and fun read that will pass a few hours with some moments of frustration, a few moments of laughs, and many hot-and-bothered moments!! Although this book can be read as a stand-alone, it is better if you have read the first book in the series first. If will give context to the animosity that exists between Tori and Jamie at the beginning of this book.

Wow. I mean, just wow. I could not put this book down. I loved it right from the start and didn't want it to end. Jamie and Tori were perfectly written for each other. Jamie needed someone strong and who would not bow down to him just because of who he was. Tori needed someone willing to be her support and show her not all men are evil.

The banter between throughout the story was hilarious. Each time something happened, I couldn't wait to see what the other would do and/or say in return. The bet was priceless and I think I was ready to throw in the towel after Tori walked out of her bathroom to get an eyeful of Jamie.

The author did a wonderful job of creating two characters that you fell in love with. I truly adored both of them and wanted them to get their HEA. I highly recommend this book to one and all. There is not one part of this read that you will not enjoy and who knows, it may even become one of your all time favorites!

“If you want true love, you will need to feel everything: the fear, hurt, anger, and sadness, as well as joy and bliss.”~ The Heart of the Fight

Once upon a time I met a hypnotizing, heartwarming, and pulse-pounding book by a new-to-me writer, J. Daniels. I dove into this book blindly as sometimes I like to live on the edge. Surprisingly, I could not decide if I loved or hated the hot and cocky hero because of the sometimes cruel and crass way he spoke to the heroine, but that quickly changed as I got to know the heart that the hero hid at first. The writing was pure magic and flowed like the tide, pushing and pulling me into these characters’ lives. I fell in love with this surfer boy hero, ‘Loser,’ and his heroine, ‘Legs.’ My love for their love story was as deep as the ocean. <b><i>Hit the Spot by J. Daniels quickly rose like a huge wave to my new favorites list, as this passionate, playful, and penetrating love story will stay with me forever.

Hit the Spot stole every part of me from the start—mind, body, heart, and soul—as it held me hard in its clutches, quickly captivating me and claiming me where I could only succumb to its spell. Butterflies fluttering. Pulse pounding. Heart beating out of my chest. Mind racing. I sank myself so deeply into Hit the Spot that I never wanted to surface for air. Like a surfer to a big wave, I wanted to take this thrilling and tender tale—ride it hard—and see how this messiest of love stories unfolded.

Jamie McCade is a gorgeous, cocky, muscular, tall, blond and blue-eyed surfing god. An Adonis in and out of the water, Jamie is a playboy where women are like waves, fast and flowing. The one woman who crashed into Jamie’s life many months ago, the best friend of his best friend’s woman, won’t leave his mind or his heart.

Beautiful, blonde, blue-eyed, and long-legged Tori Rivera wants nothing to do with Jamie McCade. Jamie is crass and crude but this sexy surfer boy is pure beauty that her eyes can’t help but appreciate. Tori is not going to be another notch on Jamie’s surfboard.

"Can you let go of me please?”
“You’re feelin’ it, aren’t you?”
“What?”
“This shit between us. I’m wearing you down, Legs.”
“Nope.”
“It’s happening, babe.”

Jamie and Tori’s banter was enticing and entertaining. Their lethal and loving mix of hope, heat, and a little hate was my high…my drug…and I could not get enough. I loved the way Tori didn’t back down to Jamie and batted that sass right back to him like a beach ball.

"You know the game, babe. I push and you push back, giving me your smart-ass mouth—which I dig. Legs, no question there…but…I can only be patient before I stop waiting around and start takin’. Your playing time is about up.”

I could not help but laugh hard at Jamie’s attempts to capture Tori and make her his. His over-the-top alpha antics, sometimes mixed with douche dude moments, were pure amusement and anguish. Persistence was paying off, as Tori was powerless to Jamie’s alpha allure. I was powerless to this beautiful man too.

"Jamie tasted good. Too good. And he kissed even better.”

Their kisses were fire that made them burn. The chemistry and passion between Jamie and Tori was off-the-charts hot, so explosive that I felt their passion penetrate through the pages to me.

"You give it up, Legs, don’t matter what it is and I’m keepin’ it. Know what it means to you and want you knowin’ you ain’t alone in that. I feel it too, babe."

Oh did I feel this love story…I FELT ALL OF THE FEELS…I FELT EVERYTHING!!! Jamie was peeling Tori’s layers off, one by one, and slowly seeping into her heart. This beautiful surfer, with a side of soft, had my heart. I surrendered it to him and I likely will never get it back.

"That fire was spreading through me, and I wanted it. I wanted to burn.”

Tori didn’t want fall under Jamie’s spell, but his beautiful looks, alpha attitude, and huge heart made it difficult to ignore him and continue fighting the intense chemistry and love building between them.

"She looked like she wanted me to catch her. I would. She just needed to ask.”

I swooned and never stopped swooning until the end. Hit the Spot is swoon in spades. Words of passion and promise kissed me where I felt butterflies dancing in my belly, a feeling of hope, happiness, and heart.

“God. What was more dangerous? The heartbreaker or the breath-stealer. Player Jamie or the man who let me touch him like he was mine. I didn’t know.”

Hit the Spot I s messy love at its finest, and oh did I love this roller coaster of a romance! This story was a hot mess of a fight to the finish line of love in the most perfect of imperfect stories! This tormented tale with its love-hate mix was electrifying…a furious rush. Hit the Spot by J. Daniels was my rush, my roller coaster ride of angst and my firestorm of feels.

"You’re way past likin’ me. I hit your soft spot and I’m f**kin’ staying there.”

Oh did Jamie make me swoon and smolder. That surfer boy hero? He...Jamie...was my hero at the end. This man is PURE PERFECTION. I was owned by Jamie. I was OWNED by Hit the Spot. THIS STORY IS EVERYTHING!!!

I was on fire reading Hit the Spot, as the dialogue ignited me from head to toe. The mix of love and hate, and the push and pull of the clashing characters were a furious rush that was electrifying and enthralling. This complicated love story full of chaos challenged me to fall in love. Not long into Hit the Spot, I fell…HARD! GAME OVER. I was GONE!

Hit the Spot is intoxicating and invigorating, a perfectly imperfect love story that bleeds angst and crashes into the heart like a hurricane, as it hits all the right spots. The anguish-filled romance, Hit the Spot was my addiction…my ache…my ALL! I burnt for this angst that ate me up as I ate it too. I laughed, cried, smiled, and swooned as I could not help but feel every emotion that exploded like a tsunami. I FELT ALL OF THE FEELS. I LOVED THIS STORY SO MUCH! Hit the Spot hit my heart hard, hitting the spot indeed…that soft one.

Gee Wiz! Tori is one feisty firecracker. Boy, does she have a mouth on her too. I love her fight and wit. She has a bit of back history that makes her the way she is. She is a fighter.

Jamie, ugh! He is a cocky, egotistical prick. I just want to smack the shit out of him. He thinks he is Gods gift to women and the world. However, Tori aka "Legs" knocks him down a few pegs.

This story is about two people basically playing cat and mouse. Who will cave? Will they fall in love? You should read this if you want to find the answers. Glad to have Sydney and Dash in this book.

HOLY HOT TAMALES, THIS BOOK WAS HOT HOT HOT! Not only was this book incredibly hot, this story was so much fun, full of love/hate/sexy fun that I couldn't help but to devour this book within a day and a half! I was amazed with the characters and the zing of electricity you could feel with every wicked scene between Tori and Jamie. I loved how there seemed to a hate/love relationship at first, then their passion turned to love and sexy sexy lust. I laughed, I sighed, I shook my head while smiling, I was completely enamored with Hit The Spot!

J. Daniels is an impressive writer there is no doubt about that. I couldn't of asked for a better and hotter romance than what I got with Hit The Spot. It was addicting, it was super sexy and full of cocky attitude. LOVED IT!

Hit The Spot gets a SIZZLING HOT FIVE SHOOTING STARS! If you like your alphas cocky, who talks dirty with a heroine that is sassy and who takes no crap, then Hit The Spot is for you.

Arrogant much? I had a hard time seeing past Jamie's ego. There were many times I wanted to reach for my can of mace on principle alone. Then I'd get wrapped up in the back and forth that is Tori and Jamie and end up changing my mind. Never did I doubt the chemistry. Like a strangle hold it was hard to break loose from the electricity emitted. Hit the Spot aimed high with Jamie and Tori's heated romance. In the end J. Daniels ended on a high note with this laugh out loud battle of wills.

J. Daniels has hit the mark again! With swoon-worthy heroes, ridiculously sexy banter, and a sassy heroine, Hit the Spot is sure to be another smash hit for this incredibly talented author.

The banter, the wit, and the charm, that radiates off of Jamie drives Hit the Spot. His dedication to and adoration of Tori will absolutely win readers over and makes them completely forget about his playboy ways and causing hearts to swoon. And his mouth, lord, oh lord, his dirty, dirty mouth will have windows steaming up all over the place. I swear J. Daniels has perfected the art of creating these perfect alpha heroes that are dominate but have enough heart to melt readers’ insides.

Tori is sass, and I love a sassy heroine. She resists Jamie out of fear, fear of his reputation, of being hurt by him, and on being damaged from previous relationships. Her struggle and her pain make the reader sympathetic to her plights, and when she goes to seek comfort after a tumultuous encounter, readers’ hearts will break for her. This act is the impetus for the relationship and really where readers get to see Tori for who she is, a woman embracing what she needs and no longer being weighed down by fear.

The back and forth between these two, their “game”, all plays into the obvious chemistry between these two. Without ever touching each other, Jamie and Tori have this energy that sizzles, and when they final get together it ignites a flame that cannot be doused.
