Mmm mmm good. I absolutely love a dirty talker and J. Daniels knows how to write them with skill. And Hit the Spot and Jamie McCade have to be some of the best dirty talking I’ve seen this year. This man is a determined and sexy jerk but once you get him going, oh that mouth. It’s enough to melt the panties of the fiercest prude. Jamie wants Tori Rivera and he makes no bones about it. She wants nothing to do with him and his playboy ways. And the sparks fly between them. The push and pull between them, the banter and the tension were all off the charts. Tori is just as stubborn as Jamie. Add in some sass and you have one fierce woman.

This book kept me grinning from page one. The character development was fantastic. They were complex with multiple layers. I loved seeing Jamie’s layers peel away as if he was an onion. I thought he was going to be one of those characters you hate to love, but the man ended up making me fall in love with him. Same with Tori—both characters were ones that I struggled to like in book one but you only see one side of them there. I was able to easily connect with them here. I loved being able to see the other characters from the series as well.

There was relatively low drama and low angst in the story. What drama there was, was plausible and realistic. If you’re a fan of a dirty talker, definitely pick this up. Jamie’ll push all your buttons in all the right ways.

I liked it better than the first book. Tori and Jamie were a lot of fun - I love an antagonistic romance.

OK I have got to be honest, I actually preferred this book over Four Letter Word. I even found myself, whilst reading FLW wanting to skip and get right into Tori and Jamie's world. There is just something so addictive about their banter and chemistry that I could wait to jump right in.

The couple have this back and fourth banter going on, and you begin to see there is real passion going on between them. A passion that can not be ignored. Initially they agree on a casual, no-strings relationship. But the lines soon blur and Tori can't help but let her walls fall around her.

I really enjoyed this book and was pleased I gave the series a second chance, after not completely loving the first book.

o you ever read a book and plays out like you're watching a movie? You can see it all so clearly in your head and you're loving everything about it?

That's how Hit The Spot managed to hit the spot ;) [I'm sure she hasn't heard that one yet, sorry!] We'd already met Jamie and Tori in Four Letter Word but is there anything better than an enemies to lovers book (rarely!)? It's definitely in my top 2 tropes if not my favourite trope of all time and this book executed it perfectly.

In Four Letter Word we see Jamie hit on Tori daily and Tori insult him and retaliate by violating multiple health and safety rules but the moment I knew I was going to love this couple and story with all my heart involves a friendly bout of vandalism. I promise I do believe in the law but it was just so swoon worthy and Tori agreed with me.

This story lets us see more about both characters and that's what I love about series, no matter how much you may know about a character when they're a supporting one, it never beats what you get to learn about them from their point of view or the point of view of their other half.

Tori was already a kick ass character but the second I got to read from her POV I was like "yes, this is exactly the type of character I can root for!" and the same happened with Jamie and so it's no surprise these two were/are made for each other.

Plot wise I thought it followed a really good story throughout and I loved the slight switching of the "gender roles" we tend to see a lot of in contemporary romances.

I picked up my first J. Daniels book earlier this year and whilst I'm sad I'm all caught up, I'm very excited to be able to keep coming back!

I am a fan of J. Daniels. I have read everything that has ever been written by J. Daniels. I will continue to read everything J. Daniels puts out. That's why, it kills me to say this.... I liked Hit The Spot, but I didn't love Hit The Spot.
I was really excited for Hit The Spot, after reading Four Letter Word. The emotional high I was on from reading Syd and Brian's story, brought me into Hit The Spot with a great deal of expectation. Jamie and Tori are rather self absorbed, self involved people, and used to getting whatever they want, when they want it. I feel like it took so long for them to "dance" around each other, and finally figure out that they were good together. I understand, that it's necessary to have some angst, it makes the story interesting. I really wanted to like Tori, but she just rubbed me the wrong way. I was definitely Team Loser, because Jamie had a few more redeeming qualities than Tori did. Jamie knew what he wanted and wasn't going to give up until he got it. I do have to say that his motives in the beginning were not exactly clear. When his "love" switch is flipped and he realizes there is more to this than just hooking up with her, it becomes clear he's in it for the long haul. Honestly, once they got together, I had hoped that they would surf along off into the sunset together, without anymore conflict. I will leave that bit of conflict up to the reader to find out. No spoilers.
I always take my time with J's books, to savor every moment of deliciousness of the story. Don't get me wrong, there were section of this book that were quintessential J. Daniels. Her leading man is described down to detail. (quirky smirks, piercings, and all) There is always a good chuckle here and there. It wouldn't be a J. Daniels book without someone's sassy/filthy mouth spewing obscenities throughout the ongoing dialogue or during the intimate moments. Each of her books has heart, even if it takes a while to get there. Honestly it pains me to go down this road, but I have to give this book 3.5 out of 5 stars.

An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review.

It’s no secret that I love J. Daniels’ and her books, but with Hit the Spot, it took over my life while I devoured it. Jamie is a guy that wormed his way into my heart. He’s alphatastic. Like, if you thought Brian was an alpha, just wait until you see Jamie in action, because dayum. That man, the things he can do.

If you read Four Letter Word (which, you totally should because it’s amazing and you get so many scenes with Jamie and Tori), then you know where the relationship between Loser and Legs stand. Jamie is trying to do the impossible, getting Tori to go on a date with him. But Tori refuses. And refuses. Until a bet is made and now it’s only a matter of time until Tori gives into Jamie and his charm.

What I loved the most about this book, aside from Jamie (cause DUH), was how it balanced the fun and emotional aspects of the book. There were so many moments where I was laughing, just as there was equal parts of the book that had me teary eyed. This book was also equal parts swoon and equal parts hothothothot. There are so many scenes that I want to talk about, to fangirl over, but I want you all to go into the book blind, because if Jamie doesn’t shock you with some of his antics, then you’re reading the book wrong.

For me, picking up a J. Daniels’ book means that I’m always in for a treat, one where I’ll be adding a book boyfriend to my list and a story that stays with me long after the last page. Hit the Spot didn’t disappoint, it took me on another roller coaster ride of love that had me staying up waaaaay too late. Which was totally worth it, I’d gladly stay up all night with a man like Jamie 😉

But seriously, if you’re a fan of J. Daniels, romance, or hot alpha, swoony men than Hit the Spot is definitely a book for you!

I first have to say I absolutely loved book 1 in J Daniels Dirty Deeds series. So when I knew the next book in the series was going to be about Tori and Jamie I was beyond excited, I am so happy that Ms. Daniel’s did not disappoint in the least.

We first meet Tori and Jamie in 4 Letter Word as Brian and Syd’s best friends. We knew that Jamie was relentless when he was pursuing Tori (aka Legs) and Tori was having none of it. This starting up a few months after the last book ended and the animosity they feel for each other still going strong, but know Jamie is ready to admit there is more to his feelings for Tori than meets the eye. Tori is still hurting from a romance that has gone bad and doesn’t believe that Jamie is in it for the right reason. When they bet who can wear down the other the fastest things get interesting, and Tori has to finally admit there maybe more to Jamie than just the hot pro surfer thing he has going on. Jamie wants to show Legs that she can trust him with her heart.

From the beginning, Ms. Daniels brings you into this world and makes you feel part of the group. The writing is on point with fantastic dialog – especially between the two main characters. The syntax she uses for Jamie when he speaks is fantastic – he does talk like the surfers I knew growing up and she does a fantastic job keeping up the pace throughout the book which I am sure can’t be easy. Told in dual POV’s which I love – when you are in Jamie’s head he doesn’t think that way which again I found well done and I am sure a challenge to write. I loved Tori though it did take me a little while to warm up to her; she is hurting and it shows at the beginning of the story but as it goes on and we start to see her accept Jamie and things around her she does become a fascinating heroine in her own right.

All in all the book is a lot of fun (it is a standalone) and well worth the time.

OMG, J. Daniels Hit The Spot is a must read! Get ready to pick your team, team loser or team legs and hold on for an amazing ride! Hit The Spot definitely "hits the spot" in every way possible and keeps you wanting more. Jamie and Tori's dynamic together is addicting and you can't wait to see what happens next!

Jamie McCade has it made. He is a pro surfer, who also owns a surf shop with his best friend, has an amazing house, great friends, but is missing one thing, Tori Rivera.

Tori Rivera loves her job as a waitress, until Jamie McCade walked in a couple of months ago and made it his mission to get her into his bed. She has done her best to ignore him, but one night she decides she is going to give in and instead confirms what she already thinks of him.

Fortunately Jamie is not deterred easily and decides to make a bet with Tori that she will give in to her desire to have sex with him before he does. Tori takes the bet fully believing that she will be able to outlast Jamie. What ensues both surprises and helps them see that maybe they have met their match. While trying to outmatch the other they begin to learn things about each other and start to wonder if a relationship would really work.

As their time together goes on they must figure out if they are ready to declare their feelings for each other to everyone or are they too scared to tell the world how they feel for each?

Take a chance on Hit The Spot and you definitely will not be sorry!

4.5 Stars!

Sweet, sexy and fun... J. Daniels is back with book two in the standalone series, Dirty Deeds and boy did she knock it out of the park. Four Letter Words was and is one of my top reads of 2016 but Hit the Spot slid right in, stole my heart, and took it's spot.

Hit the Spot was a fantastic romance that had just enough angst, tension, and steam to keep me on the edge of my seat the entire time, racing through those pages to get to that happy ending. J. Daniels has a way with her words that just makes your heart beat a little faster...

In the book, we meet Tori and Jamie and follow their journey to a forever they never saw coming. It's gonna be fun, intense, passionate, and complicated but so totally worth it.

She's been burned in the past and has no intentions of letting Jamie have her heart. He cannot get Tori off of his mind and he has to have her. What happens when the player finds the one who knocks his world off its axis? What happens when that girl cannot stand him? Do you fight for the chance or let it pass you by? Tori and Jamie's lives are about to get super complicated, but of course it's in the best kinds of ways...

Oh these two are going to take you on a journey full of ups, downs, sideways, and everything in between. Their story was perfectly executed with words just flowing right off of the pages. Their chemistry... and the banter... and the tension... jeez that was some panty melting stuff. I rooted for these two hard and loved every moment of it.

I highly recommend this book.
