Beautiful photos and every recipe looks absolutely delicious. A few would be a little time consuming and a little pricey, but overall a delightful book. These are not vegan or vegetarian in any way, but I will/can easily substitute some ingredients to accommodate my eating preferences. Will be buying when released.

I received a copy of this book through NetGalley for an honest opinion. My thanks to Editors of Food52 and
Ten Speed Press for the opportunity.

I'll never be tired of salads again! This book on salads includes many different salads including dressings. There are pasta, bean, lettuce, bread and egg salads to name a few.

This is one to keep on the kitchen shelf. There's something for everyone here!

The "meat" of this salad book is in its unconventional, non-leafy salads later in the book, namely the bread, pasta and beans sections (including an amazing noodle salad with peanut sauce). Another highlight of the book were the innumerable salad dressing recipes that are easy, delicious and versatile. Recommended for all public libraries; as a patron, I'd make copies and leave the hardcover in the stacks.

My husband and I had been looking for a yummy salad book for some time, we had never really found something that suited both our needs. We needed a book that didn’t have too much seafood and needed some recipes to be simple yet tasty. 52 mighty salads is just right for us and not only has an array of different salads to suit a variety of tastes, but also has handy hints throughout which make the cooking experience an easier experience.

Early into the book I had already declared Chard Salad with Garlic Breadcrumbs & Parmesan my favourite recipe, however it didn’t take long for me to change my mind as I flicked through further and found a Chorizo & Summer Melon Salad. It was clear to me that many of the recipes appealed to my pallet.

The tips at the end of the recipes were a great addition to the book, suggestions of pickling chorizo and easier ways of slicing little tomatoes add variety and ease to the recipes. Each of the recipes are set out clearly, with a precise list of ingredients and thorough instructions.

I highly recommend this book because it has something for everyone in it. I know this is going to be a favourite of mine and I look forward to some yummy salad additions to my meals in the near future.

A cookbook for salads? Is this really necessary? Well, thanks to the geniuses at Food52... yes, yes it is! This is *another* outstanding single-topic cookbook from the Food52 editors with (once again) impressive variety of methods and ingredients, creative ideas and mouthwatering meal options. I read it out of curiosity, expecting to see some pretty pictures of salads I knew all about... and I was wrong. I took countless notes on dressings to try, using grains and beans to add protein and texture, incorporating meat and fish more elegantly than plopping them on top of a bunch of greens... In short, I was pretty much blown away by just how much a pre-judged "no-brainer" cookbook could exceed my expectations. Add this to your list!
