I've been waiting so long for this book to find out what happens to Kayden and Ella. The exciting sexy conclusion in the careless whispers series.
I jumped right in and I was not disappointed with this fantastic thrill ride!
But who is Ella and who is Kayden? They proved to us in the previous 2 books that things are not what they seem!
The thrill ride continues with the gorgeous back drop of Italy.
Truths revealed, promises made, but what are the truths and can promises be kept?
Can they survive those truths and promises?

Surrender was a great 5 star read.

This is the final book in the Careless Whispers series and you won’t be disappointed.
Kayden and Ella are trying to connect pieces of her memory to locate the necklace.

I have never wanted to surrender to anyone else’s will-or to anyone-more than I do to his and him right now.

There are several people after Ella and the secrets she holds, Kayden also has some of his own secrets. As they move forward things get intense and dangerous. Kayden and Ella also have some very hot and steamy moments.

Running makes you a victim. Never be a victim.

There is so much more to this great read, several secrets are revealed. I have to say that I really enjoyed Ella she is a very strong willed person who can definitely take care of herself. Kayden is all alpha male but seeing how much he loved Ella was great. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. Seeing Chris and Sara again was great.

I have enjoyed everything about this series and the Inside Out series. Lisa Renee Jones pulls you right in with her writing and you won’t want to stop until you're done. I look forward to reading more from her.

An amazing finale.

What a gripping three-novel story. The writing is laced with a sharp tension like a tight rope over a gaping chasm.

The more snippets of truth Ella remembers, the more dangerous everything and everyone around her seem to get. The treasure-hunting organization The Underground devotes all its powerful resources to finding the missing piece in Ella's past and to defeating all the open fronts. War is in full throttle.

I loved that atmosphere of finality, of big weapons being drawn in the dark and against monsters. The scene of the meeting in the War Room was enormously rewarding. Through a maze of clever plotting and foggy secrets, Ella and Kayden pull a tug-of-war in their relationship. Trust and a future together are in the balance, and their conversations as well as their physical intimacy were breathtaking and sultry.

Ella is indeed Lady Hawk, a badass tigress who's survived countless odds and violence, and I'm in awe. The secrets, conspiracies and crimes are a veritable Gordian Knot, and when it's cut in the novel's exhilarating end, it really bursts with emotion and thrill. I loved this trilogy with its intense atmosphere, the smart dialogues, the amnesia that covers up a singularly riveting plot, and the wonderful characters. I'm going to miss all of it.

Can we just drop the mike right here for Lisa Renee Jones - please. This series has been INCREDIBLE. Each book has been more intriguing and mysterious than the last and I found myself consumed by the storyline. I absolutely addicted to Ella and Kayden - their books are a top recommendation from me.

Quick recap. Ella has amnesia after being attacked. The man, Kayden, who was at her side when she woke up was instrumental in saving her life and has been helping her figure out her past. The more they discover about one another, the more they find themselves embroiled in a chaotic mess of badass characters and stolen goods.

But don't worry about that sub-plot. Focus on Ella and Kayden. These two are hotter than hot. Sweet Jesus. Using the terms erotic or passionate to describe what they have together feels tame. I'm surprised they didn't melt my tablet. Even if this set of books was just them getting it on, it would be enough to entertain you for months.

But the Careless Whispers series is so much more... it's thrilling and suspenseful. Filled to the brim with alluring characters who skirt the edge of right vs wrong. The author then combines their relationship with the drama - putting it all together creating an intense and captivating reading experience. It is exciting to be in this world and with these characters.

Surrender brings an end to the adventure but I cannot even begin to explain how satisfying it is to finally have answers. To know everyone's truths and to know what will become of this couple. It's awesome.

I feel like Julia Robert in Pretty Woman at the polo match, whooping it up. Screaming - Well done. Well done, Lisa!! But because this has been one of my favorite series ever, I cannot help it. I want everyone to read these book. So my advice is to set aside a few days and enjoy these two. They are definitely worth meeting.

'Surrender' by Lisa Renee Jones is book Three in the "Careless Whispers" series. This continues the story of Ella Ferguson and Kayden Wilkens so I strongly feel you have to read the other books to enjoy this one fully. I haven't yet read the 'Inside Out Series' but Chris and Sara did make an appearance in this book to help the story. This book alone with all of Ms. Jones books are never boring. They are always exciting with a strong women and a strong alpha male with some my mystery. Of course with this story we are still going through Ella and getting her memories back. There is a lot of suspicion even sometimes around Kayden. But this book does end quickly with a happy ending. I did miss that it didn't have a Epilogue but Ms. Jones did have a nice letter to us at the end. "My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."

My thoughts on Surrender.

"You're the woman I love more than life itself, and I will not, I am not, going to lose you."

If has felt like we have been building up to this end forever especially because we originally met Ella in the Inside Out series and through out that whole series Sara has been on the hunt for Ella. Then finally we got Ella's story with the Careless Whispers series. Don't get me wrong I did like this series and I did like Kayden but with this book I was left a bit disappointed on how it ended.

Maybe then he'd have been less distracted, and more ready for an attack-like Kayden will be without me. (I hate martyrs and people not letting people make their own decisions, and sadly this is what Ella chose to do near the end. Argh! )

Throughout this particular series we have been waiting for Ella to get her memory back and when she did it was quite anti-climatic. I have to admit especially with such a build up to it. We were waiting and waiting and then BOOM and then the ending basically wrapped up in a nice perfect little bow. After all that build up I was expecting more and I didn't get it. But it was nice to see an end for this series and that Sara finally got her Ella answers as well.

4.5 stars! Surrender, book 3 (3). The intense conclusion to Ella & her mysterious savior Kayden’s quest for truth & redemption!

“Exposing my past might steal everything we think we are and want to be together.”

Books in Careless Whispers trilogy should be read in order:
Book 1: Denial
Book 2: Demand
Book 3: Surrender

In Careless Whispers, book 1-2 (book 1) Ella Ferguson woke up in Italy with amnesia. A stranger, treasure hunter and head of The Underground of treasure hunters, Kayden Wilkens, Hawk, claimed to have found her and made it his mission to protect her. While their attraction brewed it became a quest for answers of what happened, who she is and who is out to hurt her?

Surrender, book 3 is the conclusion to their saga. It picks up at book 2’s ending and is a roller-coaster race against time. Set against the backdrop of Ella’s memory returning, their love will be tested with villains and traitors at their heels as they chase elusive truths and seek a way out of their predicaments.

KAYDEN WILKENS, Hawk: American/32 years/Treasure hunter/Head of The Underground/Lt brown hair/Blue eyes/Orphan/Tattoos.
Eight words to describe Kayden Wilkens, Hawk: charming, commanding, secretive, possessive, enigmatic, intense, aloof and dirty-talker.

ELLA FERGUSON, Lady Hawk: American/25 years/Brown (red) hair/Green eyes/Orphan/Amnesia.
Seven words to describe Ella Ferguson: stubborn, resilient, smart, feisty, reflective, strong and impatient.

Surrender, told from Elle’s POV, has all the elements of a excellent suspenseful romance; a mystery to solve and a plot riddled with intrigue, danger, villains, deceit, lies, blackmail, murder, greed and… vengeance. Yet despite all the uncertainty and violence a romance has blossomed. It ends with answers and resolutions, peace and love, but I’d welcome an epilogue further into their future and there are hints that we might get just that in the future.

A gifted copy was provided by author/publisher for an honest review.

5 Stars!

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first:
Denial (Careless Whispers #1)
Demand (Careless Whispers #2)

This story is packed full of suspense, revenge, passion, love, betrayal, and power. It starts right where the last ended so be sure to read the first two books in the series before reading this one. Can Kayden protect Ella? Or will the people who are out to get her take her away? They will stop at nothing to have her even if it means hurting those she loves. Can she get her memories back in time to protect everyone? Or will she be taken before they ever return? Can she trust Kayden? This story will pull you in and keep you turning the pages. Lisa knows just how to keep you turning the pages. She throws in enough twists and turns to keep you involved with her stories.

I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

WOW!! I absolutely loved Surrender, the third amazing book in author Lisa Renee Jones outstanding Careless Whispers trilogy. I simply could not put it down. All the questions about Kayden and Ella are now answered, and I was a bit surprised by the revelations. This is a very complicated story, and the characters are extremely well written and engaging. I immediately added this book to my favorites stack. I did voluntarily read an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Surrender (Careless Whispers #3) by Lisa Renee Jones , brings a satisfying ending to Ella’s story. The journey brought characters from two of the author’s previous series (Inside Out and Tall, Dark & Deadly series) together in a seamless fashion. Having read those series, it was very enjoyable to see the Carless Whispers world enriched by friends from the past.

Some of the pros & cons for me were:

• The book was finished in 3 books as promised by the author (although I think it could have been completed in 2 books)

• A satisfying ending overall, a bit quick and almost too easy, but most questions or open issues were addressed.

• No major character changes stayed true, expanded a bit through new info about them.

• Kayden & Ella's relationship grew stronger, no outside forces to challenge or cast doubt on it. No angsty issues, or misinterpretation of actions to create tension between the H/h.

• The storyline was a bit repetitive (info from previous books) and slow, new info developed in spurts but was supportive of the overall storyline.

I received my copy of the book from NetGalley, on behalf of Simon and Schuster Digital Sales Inc / Pocket Star, for an honest review. The publication date was January 9, 2017.

For me this was a 3 star read

In this final book three of the Careless Whispers series, Ella and Kayden are in the thick of planning to take down Neville, Niccolo, and assorted other nasties. She is getting more of her memory back while they try to plan a life together. Ella is worried that once all her past is revealed, it will be a deal breaker for Kayden. Clearly she has a past beyond being a school teacher that is tied up somehow with her late father’s job at the CIA. Adding to their problems, Ella suspects that one of Kayden's people is not so trustworthy as he believes. This book is a fast paced thrill ride with some predictable elements but heart pounding action, intrigue, and romance. Fans of Chris and Sara will be happy to see them have a part here as well.

Ella is determined to be the heroine of her own story and not just rely on Kayden to take care of their enemies. Ella and Kayden’s commitment to and love for each other intensifies as well as their passion which sizzles. Readers who have followed this couple as well as Ella’s part in the Inside Out series will be pleased with the resolution to their stor

I really appreciate Lisa Renee Jones and the fact that she has put a series recap at the beginning of these books. It really helps job my memory about what happened in the earlier books as I can't include a lot of that info in a review because I try to avoid spoilers. So if you have not read the earlier books in this series, you may want to hold off on this review. It may contain spoilers for those earlier books... and you really need to read these in order anyway so you have the entire story arc.

Surrender picks up right where Demand left off and is the conclusion of the Careless Whispers series. Ella still has lingering amnesia and her memory is coming back in fits and starts. But we slowly learn the secrets of her past and how she really came to be Europe. I particularly liked that she turns out to be a badass... a lethal ballerina. The more we have learned about Ella's character, the more I was intrigued by her situation and her life. She and Kayden are building a strong and united front, but danger is knocking at every door. Things are coming to a head with Niccolo, Alessandro and Neuville... and Ella still is not sure who to trust. There were a few times that had me yelling at my kindle when it seemed that Ella was on the cusp of some memory recovery, but we had to take time out for romantic entanglements.

Lisa Renee Jones does her suspense very well, to the point where I find myself more interested in the suspense than the romance. I ended up skimming the sexytime moments after the first half of the book so I could get back to the mystery and action, and I had the aforementioned frustrations with interrupting a big reveal to get naked. Similar to my thoughts on Demand, I was still feeling somewhat disconnected from the relationship between our main couple. I recall feeling like I was on the outside looking in instead of being fully immersed in those parts of the book. I wish I could have gotten a little more emotionally invested in what was happening. These two do have a lot of chemistry, so I can't put my finger on what I was missing in the relationship.

That being said, the last 15% of the book was fantastic. That's where the big resolution of the series is taking place and it was a continuous action jaunt that I absolutely could not put down. Some of the information revealed was a bit far-fetched, but it was interesting and I wanted to know more more more. Inside Out fans will be happy that Chris and Sara play a part in this book... and I do miss those two and their crazy intense relationship. I have yet to finish that series so this reminds me (again) that I need to go back and finish the last book or two.

I will continue to read LRJ as her suspense hooks me every time, and I think any of her books would translate well to television or film. I do hope we will see her work on screen in the not-too-distant future. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from the publisher, Gallery Books.

This series kept me on the edge of my seat and this part of Kayden and Ella's story is no different. From the very first page I was hooked and couldn't put it down until the very last page. I love that Lisa not only gives good sizzle, but gives equally good suspense wrapped all around a love story. And really that is the heart of all that is Kayden and Ella. This deep love that transcends all the drama and life altering stuff happening around them. And damn they are scorching hot together. I loved the path to finding out Ella's past and by the end I didn't care as much about the necklace as wanting to have the gaps filled in her memory. I loved that she stood beside him strong through it all and that he was ready to fight all the way for her. I loved their story. Every bit of it.

I give Surrender 5 hearts!
