With visions of Stephen King and perhaps Misery flash backs, Coyote is or will be your favorite character! Graphic, but good graphics. Very, very descriptive to the point as you begin its almost like you are in the cell.

A spine-tingling psychological thriller that you'll want to read with the lights on. Sometimes life's twists and turns can take you down a dark path, and when they do you have to give the devil his due.

Is Revelation a character-driven novel or plot-driven suspense thriller?

I would tend to the first one. But it is also a gripping psycho-drama in the fast-paced thrills and exciting action, with unexpected twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Some violent scenes are very graphical, see it as a warning.

It was without doubts a 5 stars read through and through up to the end, but the VERY ending was slightly overloaded for my taste.

Still an excellent book that I would highly recommend to all fans of the genre.

What a wacky book. Made for an interesting read. Some of the things that Harden did just makes you shake your head. The more I read the more he started to annoy me. Overall a passable read.

Although I thought that this book was well-written and had an interesting premise, it just wasn't for me. I don't normally have difficulties getting into a book, but I felt that there was just something getting in the way with this book. I'm sure that it'll appeal to lots of readers as the writing was very strong - just not for me.

This book begins with the reader finding a badly beaten man (Harden) along with his close friend who was beaten to death in a cell like room with no idea where they are or how they got there. The only other things in the room is a typewriter, a lot of paper and the words "tell me a story" Harden knows this message was left for him by his old college friend Coyote and knows that what he writes could make the difference between life and death for him. This harkens back to their college days when Harden wrote an essay on world religions as we know them today and what it would take to to start to start a new religion and recruit followers. Little did he know that Coyote,a highly intelligent egomaniacal psychopath with a lust for power and control and a magnetic personality would do just that-calling his new religion Revelation. No spoilers here-suffice it to say I found this to be a dark thriller with quite a bit of violence which I found off-putting. If you don't mind a lot of violence I think you will find the story riveting.

I like that this is essentially a book within a book since the main character is being forced to write his story under duress.

It’s an entertaining psychological suspense that can make you feel a bit uncomfortable in its realism but you want to stick it out through the last page. The book reminds us that too often someone with a magnetic yet psychopathic personality comes along whose only purpose seems to be to find and manipulate others; a fundamental theory of this story told through alternating timelines.

Carter Wilson does a good job in his character development which also caused a bit of an issue for me. Harden, the main character is really not likable because he’s a gullible wimp who would be the perfect kind of prey for a psychopath. You just want to slap him at times which is kind of a problem since he’s the main character who is telling the story but that just goes to Wilson’s cred that he can write a character this good.

The book is graphically detailed to the point it will elicit reactions of shock and anger as it grips your attention and creates a need to see if happy endings can exist in a world where psychopaths go on a spree.

I would definitely recommend this book but not for the squeamish.
