Every Little Thing was just as wonderful as the first book in the Hart's Boardwalk series. I really liked Bailey and Vaughn. Both we met in the first book, it was fun and entertaining getting to know them. Bailey was a fun character in general, but Vaughn was more cool, calm, and collected. Their banter and utter distaste for each other kept things interesting.

I love all the characters found in Hart's Boardwalk and I can't wait to see who's story is next. Samantha Young does an extraordinary job creating a tight-knit cast of characters that you can't help but want to be a part of...even if they are fictional. Hart's Boardwalk would be my fictional vacation choice, that's for sure!

I am in love with this series. Samantha Young will take you on a journey of heartbreak, mending and love all wrapped up in one.

I knew their was chemistry between Bailey and Vaughn from reading The One Real Thing. When the two of them were in the same vicinity, sparks flew. The hot and sexy meter went off the charts.

Vaughn has a past, as does Bailey. Bailey has been with her tool of a boyfriend for ten years. TEN LONG YEARS. Bailey is a handful, one that is never short for words. She is feisty, she is strong, she never bites her tongue. Not even with Vaughn.

Vaughn keeps Bailey at a distance. But just because she is at arms length, doesn't mean he doesn't have eyes on her. Bailey makes Vaughn feel things he shouldn't. Things he's ever felt before. So when things heat up between Bailey and Vaughn, now that bailey is single, what will Vaughn do? Will he continue to push Bailey just enough to keep her at bay, or will he hold her tight once he has her in his arms?

Bailey has had her heart broke before, but when things fall apart with her and her boyfriend of ten years, Bailey isn't devastated. In fact, she's relieved. As much as Bailey tries to stay away from Vaughn, cause all they do is fight, she can't stay away. There's just something about him, that keeps her coming back. She is intrigued by him. She wants to know more about him. She wants to know why he is nice to everyone else, but mean to her. But he is truly mean to her? I'd have to say NO. I think they both have built up frustration that finally hits a head.

This is a great read. You will love both Vaughn and Bailey.

3.5 Stars

This is my first book by Samantha Young.

I KNOW.

I am not actually sure how this has even managed to be the case, and I now know what I was missing. The writing is strong, the characters are realistic and I believed their interactions and was willing to believe what happened to them could happen.

I loved Bailey. Vaughn, however, was not my favorite. And, I am not sure why. There were times when I loved him, and times when he rubbed me the wrong way, although this was more toward the beginning. Once they give in to their attraction, I definitely can say I was a lot more of a fan of his. And, in an odd way, I liked this about the book. I am ok with not 100% loving a character the entire time, so in this, it worked for me.

Without spoilers, I really liked the end of this one. I know, it is a romance, there is a happily ever after, we all know that. And there are some that are better than others. There was something about the end of this one that left me feeling that this was one of the good ones. Hard to explain without spoilers.

While this is the 2nd book in the series, it is a standalone and you definitely can enjoy it without reading the first...I know this is what happened for me.

Read this one, you will be glad you did.

I will leave this with saying I enjoyed the book overall and I definitely recommend it.

3.5. Smartbuttery Stars

“Not so smart for a smart guy.”

There are stories that are surprisingly hard to rate. While I loved a lot about this book there were some thing I just couldn't get on board with. Let me explain.

Bailey is Hartwell-royalty. She is a descendant of the original founders and well-liked all around. She owns the inn on the boardwalk and is "OK" with her life. Is she happy? That would be an exaggeration. Her boyfriend sports a serious case of commitment phobia which clashes with her yearning for a family. Temptation comes in the body of Vaughn Tremaine, a man she despises and it goes both ways. Or so she thinks.

I was as attractive as a limp noodle to him. And it shouldn’t bother me. The man was a jerk.

Vaughn's feelings for the princess of Hartwell are complicated. He wants her. Bad. But relationships don't work for him so he helps himself to a beautiful woman once in a while. It doesn't satisfy his raging need for the beautiful, vivacious redhead but it takes the edge off it. Too bad that he can't get Bailey out of his mind and it sure doesn't help that they have weirdly gentle encounters when they don't antagonize one another.

“No wonder you’re single.”
I gave him a look that would have made a lesser man’s balls jump back up inside him.
“You’re cold through and through. You haven’t got anything real to offer a woman. Nothing but money. And sooner or later they’ll realize not even money is worth a lifetime of nothing.”
It was harsh. It was horrible. And it was all about me, not him. Immediately I wanted to take the words back, but they were out there. Me and my stupid no brain-to-mouth filter. Like the ice I’d accused him of being, Vaughn’s expression turned an arctic level of cool.
“I’m single because I want to be, Miss Hartwell. Unlike you I’m strong enough to be alone rather than settle for mediocre. But then like attracts like, doesn’t it.”

*wince*

To say that Vaughn was an ambivalent character is an understatement. He is vulnerable and deep on one hand but also hard and sometimes cold on the outside. He definitely has a tendency to be a jerk. The things he did and said didn't always make sense to me. In once scene, after putting Bailey through an emotional wringer, he is taken aback that Bailey doesn't trust him, when only a couple weeks earlier they were making each other's life hard by being spiteful with one another. On the other hand he has very sweet moments and makes his girl feel special and protected.

“I’m sorry. I have a bad habit of being a bastard to you.”
Bailey’s eyebrows rose at his admission. And then something rueful and mischievous glinted in those beautiful eyes of hers.
“Maybe that’s because I have a bad habit of being a bitch to you.”

Bailey is a firecracker. With her the theme is "what you see is what you get". Censoring her thoughts doesn't work for her. She is confrontational and a straight talker and her nose is pretty much in everybody's business. And while this is true for most of the book she too had a couple of situations in which she acted a bit out of character and not the way I expected her to. The scene when Vaughn comes back from New York in particular. And again, while these are things that didn't add up in my book I still liked her as a person.

There was a lot to love about this story. Especially the detail of the small town descriptions made me feel like I belonged. As if I were right in the middle of it being another of the nosy towns people, watching Bailey and Vaughn standing off.
I loved the secondary characters and I definitely can't wait to get my hands on Emery's and Jack's story. I'd also like to know what happened to Daliah. I want to go back and read Jess' and Cooper's story. I fell in love with them although they were only side characters.

“I want you to watch out for Bailey. I know you do anyway, but I’m specifically talking about this Rex person.” He narrowed his eyes. “I don’t like the sound of him, Lawson.”
His friend took a slow, casual sip of his coffee and studied Vaughn until he was almost squirming.
“Well?” Vaughn snapped.
“I was just wondering.”
“What?”
“If it’s uncomfortable.”
“If what’s uncomfortable?”
“Having your head that far up your ass.”

Altogether this was an enjoyable read and it made me curious to learn more about the town and the people in it. Samantha Young's spellbinding writing held me interested throughout the story and despite all my reservations it did make for a captivating read.

Bailey Hartwell liked a little dirt in bed. No lily-white princess. Loyal. Fierce. Protective. Kind. Strong. Funny. Sassy. Sexy. And goddamn perfect for him in bed.

4.5 Stars This is my favorite book in the series and after finishing it, I just want more! Ever since the first book, The One Real Thing, I wanted more of Bailey and Vaughn. Their dynamic couldn't have been any funnier and intense! Getting their story in Every Little Thing-- did not disappoint.

Bailey Hartwell is the darling of Hartwell's Boardwalk. She's passionate about keeping her family's bed and breakfast running like a well oiled machine and doesn't let anyone threaten her business. Doesn't matter how hot a man can be. And that's Vaughn Tremaine. And Vaughn is trying to find his footing in this small town and facing Bailey on a daily basis is proven hard for Vaughn to stay away from her.

The push and pull between these two characters is hot and when these two are in the same room sparks fly, but they use humor to deflect the attraction. But Vaughn can't stop himself from protecting Bailey after someone threatens her bed and breakfast. And the more time these two spend and less fighting, the attraction is beyond sexy.

Every Little Thing is so far my favorite. I loved Vaugh and Bailey, but seriously, now I want more. I'm flipping between Emery and that little surprise with Dahlia and her mystery man have me wanting her story too!

Beautiful, just beautiful.

I received this book from Netgalley and had the honor of reading this book before it was published. The first thing that I want you as a person reading this review to know is that I love Samantha Young. Her writing is beautiful, her characters are unique, you can relate to at least one character in each of her books.

Every single book I have read by Samantha Young has been breathtakingly beautiful. This book is no different. Every Little Thing is the story of Bailey & Vaughn. The characters are wonderful, the writing is spectacular, and the plot line was very interesting with a slight twist that I didn't see coming (in a very good way).

Seriously, just read the book.

Vaughn will need to overcome his painful past and reservations, and Bailey will need to learn to trust again, can they make it back together?
Plot and Story Line

Every Little Thing is the second book in this new series from Samantha Young and man I am just hooked. Although I am wishing I had re read book one a bit or at least skimmed it before picking this one up. I had forgotten a few things. But boy did I enjoy this second book. Now in the first book we see both Bailey and Vaughn at each other’s throats. They don’t like each other, or it just appears that way. We do see some hints of sparks that they have, neither wants to admit it though. But when Bailey’s gets betrayed and ends up attacked, she sees a whole new side to Vaughn. I did love seeing the way these two enemies become lovers and Young handled this aspect pretty well. Then we get a delightful appearance of her sisters (say this very sarcastically) man her sister is her complete opposite. Selfish, greedy, uses people for her own uses. And yeah at first I was concerned with how Bailey would handle her, but man she really shows that despite the fact she is her sister, she won’t let her take advantage of her and the people in this town that she would give her life for. And we have some side characters I really loved, we have Vaughn’s father who was so wonderful and pushes Vaughn when he needs an emotional push toward Bailey. I did love how close Vaughn and his father are with each other. And we also get more mixed signals from Jack. Jack we saw in book one and I have a feeling he and Emery will be one of the next couples. He is the son of the enemy of everyone on the boardwalk, but I get the feeling he is much more than what he appears to be. The romance between Bailey and Vaughn is full of drama, feeling their way through a new kind of relationship and seeing how learning to trust isn’t easy especially when your heart is involved. Truly another win for this author.

The Cover

This is so gorgeous, I love the mix of colors with the pink and gold with the coastal scene. Makes me wish I lived there.
Overall View

Every Little Thing is a angsty and drama filled romance, which is packed with a hint of danger, powerful chemistry and a heart warming romance.

Every Little Thing is the second installment of Samantha Young's series set at Hart's Boardwalk.

While I enjoyed the premise - two characters who are oil and water finding their way to one another - this book felt familiar in a way that was comfortable but not earth-shattering.

That said, the author does a tremendous job with the secondary characters that leave the reader wanting more from this quaint oceanside town. Even the scene-setting makes you eager to come back for more.

I still feel that the Hart’s Boardwalk series doesn’t have the same magic as Samantha Young’s other series. These are more cookie cutter traditional romances. That being said I did enjoy Every Little Thing a lot more than book one in the series.

Bailey and Vaughn are enemies. They antagonize each other at every turn. Vaughn is doing it to fight off his attraction to Bailey. He admires Bailey and with each passing day the attraction grows but his frustration comes out in biting put downs. Bailey gives it right back to him but deep down his words hurt her.

Bailey is in a dead end relationship that is she is in denial over. She is also in denial when it comes to her attraction to Vaughn. To be fair it isn’t hard to deny it when he is always pushing her buttons and she gets angry with him. Bailey soon finds herself a single woman again and dealing with a threat to her inn. After Vaughn comes to her rescue and they both stop denying each other they give in to their attraction.

Vaughn quickly pushes Bailey away again because he is emotionally damaged. His rejection after what they shared makes Bailey doubt herself and she retreats into herself. Vaughn finally has to own up to his demons so that he can make something real with Bailey.

I really enjoyed Every Little Thing. It had more depth and I loved Bailey and Vaughn’s personalities. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I am really intrigued by sweet and shy Emery. I am really hoping we get her story next.

Hartwell is a small seaside resort which comes with all the attendant joys and agonies of living in a small town where every one knows your business and gossip runs rampant.  Ms. Young's writing pulls her readers into becoming personally invested in her characters almost as though we are a member of a family who calls Hart's Boardwalk their own.
Bailey and Vaughn have been on opposite sides of the fence for so long that it's become habit.  Now that Bailey is free of her long term relationship will things change between them? Vaughn owns a prestigious hotel property on the boardwalk which he built against the protests lead by Bailey.  He enjoys the relationships that he's formed here and despite owning a chain of hotels around the world is content to spend significant time in Hartwell.  With the beautiful visitors who flock to the town he continues to indulge his playboy ways even as sexy Bailey Hartwell calls to his deeper feelings.
Bailey belongs to one of the founding families of the town and runs her family owned inn on the boardwalk. She originally opposed Vaughn's hotel because she was convinced it would change the nature of the town and the boardwalk and now continues to oppose him and take jabs at him for appearance even as she finds him wildly attractive.  When she finds her long term boyfriend in bed with another younger sexier model it's Vaughn who comes to her rescue in making her feel like the beautiful sexy woman she is as he shows her what she's been missing.
As the two of them indulge their sexual chemistry interspersed by daily updates by Bailey at the local coffee shop the clouds are gathering around Bailey.  Her business is being threatened without and within and Vaughn with all his protective instincts seems unable to help her.  And then Bailey is a traditional kind of girl who yearns for the white picket fence that comes with the requisite 2.4 kids while Vaughn is a commitment phobe.  It's an interesting ride with some interesting characters coming into play as the two get back on the relationship trail and make it all come together.

There's something inherently comforting about being back on Hart's Boardwalk.

This series returns with its second book and this time readers are treated to more from the sizzling but unrequited romance between Hart’s Boardwalk’s own princess, Bailey Hartwell, and the businessman she more than likes to clash with, Vaughn Tremaine.

Bailey has been with her boyfriend for 10 years now and despite having the feeling of settling for him rather than truly loving him, she continues her relationship with him, that is until she witnesses the unimaginable. What stuns Bailey more is her indifference to her breakup. Feeling more angry and embarrassed than broken and emotional, Bailey does what she always does and buries herself in her work all whilst being supported by her friends; Jess, Emery and Dahlia, oh and of course Cooper.

Vaughn has a strong protective bond toward Bailey and despite his best intentions to keep her at a distance, he finds himself firmly rooted in protecting her from the ever present danger courtesy of the Devlin family. When he finds her fighting off an attacker, Vaughn’s feelings for Bailey start to get personal and he decides to step in to support her. With Bailey vulnerable, Vaughn’s support gets physical and despite their explosive connection, Vaughn realises that he’s made a huge mistake and poor Bailey is left one again spurned by a man, only this time it really hurts.

With Vaughn and Bailey side stepping around each other, it comes down to their friends to try and make the pair realise that they were born to be together but with these two, they have a battle on their hands. Vaughn has demons that the must overcome in order to accept his feelings for Bailey but first, he must open up to her in order for her to see him for who he truly is.

During Vaughn and Bailey’s story, we also get to see a little more of Emery's mysterious layers being peeled away, especially how she reacts to none other than Jack Devlin. Jack is still the elusive character in this story and appears loyal to no-one but at the same time, there is a strong feeling that he’s planted himself within his family's business in order to protect those he once called his friends.

Dahlia also had a little drama of her own when the ex who appears to have broken her heart turns up in Emery’s book shop and despite him leaving as quickly as he arrived, thanks to Bailey, I’m sure we’ve not heard the last from him.

Ian and Stu Devlin continue to wreak havoc in Hart’s Boardwalk and this time they enlist Vanessa, Bailey’s sister and part-owner of the Inn, into their schemes. Vanessa is the polar opposite of Bailey, she’s driven by money, looks and doesn’t care if she hurts her sister along the way. When she’s witnessed entering a hotel room with Jack Devlin, by Vaughn, Bailey starts to worry even more why exactly her sister has re-emerged in their hometown.

We also get to spend some time with Liam, Vaughn’s father, and I wouldn’t be averse to spending a little bit more time with him either, especially when it looks like he may be coming to Hart’s Boardwalk for an extended visit. Is love on the horizon for him as well?

I really do love this series. It’s beautifully written and provides readers with an escape to a place where dreams come alive and HEAs really do come true.

4.5 Stars for book two in Samantha Young's Hart's Boardwalk series. Please note that even though this book has different main characters, parts of the storyline do cross over from book to book so it's best to read in order if possible.

I'll be honest in that I didn't love the first book in this series. But the chemistry between Vaughn and Bailey carried me through and I just knew I'd enjoy this book. And holy hotness, it did not disappoint. Vaughn is so darn sexy and Bailey is a great blend of sassy and vulnerable.

I actually laughed more than I thought I would thanks to Bailey and her group of girlfriends. And the comic relief from their crazy provided nice relief from a few darker/sadder moments involving the evil Devlin family and Bailey's dumb boyfriend, Tom.

Vaughn and Bailey are two of the most stubborn people on the planet so watching them fall for each other and sort out their pasts gave me all the feels. Again, their chemistry is off the charts hot so the steamy scenes were perfect. I certainly wanted to punch Vaughn in the face a time or two but he had some heroic moments as well, securing him a spot in my book boyfriend list.

I love the tidbits about the other characters in this book and unlike the last one, I don't feel they really got in the way of the main story this time. I'm not sure whose book is next, Em or Delilah. I'll be happy either way and plan to continue with the series!

Samantha Young does it again! She is the only author that can create characters so real and super easy to relate to. EVERY LITTLE THING is filled with tons of angst, laughter, a little suspense, and steamy hot moments. I enjoyed every word! Samantha Young never disappoints!

Bailey Hartwell has many reasons to feel content—her successful business, a close circle of friends, and her steady boyfriend…even if their romance feels staid after ten years without a serious commitment. The only challenge in her life comes in the form of sexy businessman Vaughn Tremaine. She thinks the ex-New Yorker acts superior and that he considers her a small-town nobody. But when Bailey’s blindsided by a betrayal, she’s shocked to discover Vaughn is actually a decent guy.

Vaughn admires Bailey’s free spirit, independence, and loyalty. As his passion for her has grown, his antagonism toward her has only worsened. Every little thing Bailey does seduces him. But when Vaughn’s painful emotional past makes him walk away in fear he will hurt her, it opens an old wound in Bailey, and she uncharacteristically retreats.

Once Vaughn begins to realize he’s made the biggest mistake of his life, he has no choice but to fight like he’s never fought before to convince Bailey that the love they’ve found together only comes around once in a lifetime.

Bailey Hartwell and Vaughn Tremaine have been at odds since the man walked into town. Bailey had tried to move mountains in order to stop the man from building his hotel on the boardwalk. She failed but she had to try. It seems that everyone is happy with Vaughn and he seems to be friends with quite a few people but he treats Bailey…not so well. She fights back verbally – the only way she knows how.

The thing is that Bailey is highly attracted to Vaughn and him to her. The more they feel that attraction the more antagonistic they are to each other. Vaughn doesn’t feel like he deserves to be happy and Bailey’s such a happy go lucky person. When her inn is broken in to and Vaughn saves her from the thief they end up in bed together. Of course Bailey wants more and Vaughn pushes her away in the worst possible way. When Bailey’s sister rolls into town and says she’s there to help run the inn Bailey freaks out but with Vaughn’s help they can work it all out.

I really liked this story. Bailey seemed like a bit of a crazy girl in book one of this series but I really liked her anyway and of course Vaughn with his dark broodiness was intriguing in book one. I was so happy they were going to get together because I could tell from their personalities that it would be a pretty epic thing to bring them together.

While I didn’t like that they spent a good portion of the book apart it was all worth it in the end. We got more background on both Bailey and Vaughn and why they felt like they did about relationships. It was pretty eye-opening. Once they got together it was explosive and I was truly happy they got their HEA.

The book brings back characters from the previous book and that was wonderful. We got to see the characters from book one get married and got to know the others a bit better. I’ve liked this series so far and I’m anxious to see where it goes next.

"I've spent too long feeling like I don't deserve something special..."

Starting a new Samantha Young book is always exciting, this time was no different.
I loved Vaughn and Bailey from the moment they first appeared in 'The One Real Thing'.
Those two... One thing was clear, their chemistry was explosive! I loved every minute of it.

Bailey with her loving and accepting personality, not to mention sass, and Vaughn... we didn't get much from Vaughn In the beginning, but we knew there was more to him based on his actions. He was more than just the wealthy very good looking hotel owner from New York. Obviously we were intrigued!

I feel like the best way to get to know both characters is when we actually get to see inside their minds, which is why I loved the dual POV. Though Sam does a great job of giving us so much of the characters without having to get inside all their heads.

Without giving too much away, Bailey's life plans fall apart and she finds herself questioning her life and her past choices. Where does she go from here, is there any hope, is it possible to start over? Luckily she has her makeshift family from Hartwell to help when she needs it.

Turns out Vaughn has some issues of his own, who doesn't, right? Thankfully, they can't stay away from each other, though things aren't smooth sailing, and in all honestly, they're pretty mean to each other. I mean, you can't show the other you don't completely hate them. I think he's the one who surprised me the most, in a good way.

My favorite thing about this book was how we get to see the relationship develop between Vaughn and Bailey. They've been dancing around each other for a while, but not once does it feel rushed because of this. They have issues and they make mistakes, but luckily for us, they can't fight the way they feel.

I wish it would have been longer, I need an epilogue that is from a few years in the future. I can't wait to read more about them in future books.

4.5 stars!

I loved the first book in this series, The One Real Thing. Not only was it a wonderful story, but I fell in love with the town of Hartwell and its residents and I have been so excited to dive back into this world – this time for the story of Bailey and Vaughn (this book can also easily be read as a standalone).

Bailey Hartwell is all kinds of awesome. She runs her family’s popular, much-loved inn on Hart’s Boardwalk, and has a close circle of friends that she loves dearly. She is bold and confident, she speaks her mind (which I love!), she has a huge heart, and is fiercely protective of her friends and her town.

Vaughn Tremaine is a wealthy businessman who moved to Hartwell from New York City. He is a hotel magnate, and from the moment he came to town with plans to build a hotel on the boardwalk, he and Bailey have been enemies. She didn’t want him in her town, he came in and built his hotel anyway. It’s been three years and they still can’t hold a civil conversation – antagonising each other at every available opportunity.

When Bailey’s life takes an unexpected turn, it becomes a huge wake up call for her and she finally takes a close look at Vaughn – at her reaction to him, and his to her – and she realises that there is more to their epic cold war than she realised.

We were two people who were attracted to each other and didn’t want to be.
Of course there was going to be hostility.
And here I thought he was just a dick.

OMG, I love this relationship! The enemies-to-lovers trope is a favourite of mine and this one is fantastic! Full of chemistry, banter, and heated glares, I could feel everything that was building between them. The book is written in dual POV so we know exactly what both of them are feeling, and I love that Bailey is the one to step up and finally make a move on the man that intrigues her and makes her burn like no other.

“Take me into my room, Vaughn. Take control so I don’t have to. I want you to. I want you to lay me down on that bed and take what you want. You want to right?” I looked deep into his hard eyes and shivered at the heat I found in them. “I bet you’ve thought about it. Fucking the hostile Princess of the Boardwalk into submission.”

And Vauhgn! Who would have thought the smooth, controlled and seemingly cold businessman was actually so freaking hot!!! He brings that control into the bedroom, but when he gets revved up, watch out! The man is all passion and fire, and the sexy time is absolutely steaming!

Hot as fuck.
Bailey Harwell liked a little dirt in bed.
No lily-white princess.
Loyal. Fierce. Protective. Kind. Strong. Funny. Sassy. Sexy. And goddamn perfect for him in bed.

But despite their red-hot passion for each other, their story is not an easy one. There are personal issues which stop them from throwing themselves all-in and there is some back and forth, but it’s written really well, and their history of more than three years of animosity laced with sexual tension only adds to intensity of everything that is happening between them. It’s a deliciously angsty ride as we watch Bailey and Vaughn fight the inevitable, but the culmination of all of that build-up is well worth the wait. Their love story is beautifully romantic, epically swoony and super hot!

“I didn’t want to want you.”
“I didn’t want to want you, either, but I did.” Vaughn stepped closer to me. “you are everything I’ve never known, I fell in love with you a long time ago, princess. I’ve tried to fight it, but I can’t, and I don’t want to anymore.”

And once they make the decision to be together, there is no stupid and no unnecessary drama pulling them apart. They are committed and functional, and very much in love, and I love that!

The rest of the Boardwalk crew are a big part of the story, as are Bailey and Vaughn’s families, and I loved the introduction of new characters, we well as catching up with those that we have already met. I especially loved how everybody was all involved in Bailey and Vaughn’s business as they all watched the drama unfold.

“I was wondering.”
“What?”
“If it’s uncomfortable.”
“If what’s uncomfortable?”
“Having your head that far up your ass.”
“You’re a real comedian today, Lawson.”
“You’re making it easy for me.”

There’s also the ongoing saga of the Devlin family and their plans to get a hold of the Boardwalk. It impacts on both Bailey and Vaughn, and creates a nice sense of tension, and I like the over-arching storyline that it brings to the series – as well as the hints of things to come.

I loved this book. It’s a fantastic blend of humour, drama, angst, and sexy, intense romance. Bailey and Vaughn’s story sucked me in from the very start and I was hooked all the way through. There are hints given to future books, and both Emery and Dahlia’s stories look like they’re going to be amazing! I cannot wait for more!

I stared up at him. “I love you more than I’ve ever loved anyone. It scares the living daylights out of me.”
He grinned. Huge. A boyish, wicked grin that made me feel like my heart might burst out of my chest. “Welcome to my world.”

Every Little Thing is the second book in Samantha Young's Hart's Boardwalk series and not a book I thought I was going to survive waiting for. The story follows Bailey, Hartwell's golden girl, as her life takes a change. She's used to being content but she wants more, and that more comes in the form of Vaughn Tremaine. As much as she wants to hate him she just can't seem to stop admiring him from afar. Even when he's an ass towards her in order to push her away she still wants to know more about him. But Vaughn doesn't think he deserves something as good as Bailey and he may finally hurt her enough to where she won't accept him in her life.

Bailey had me intrigued from when we were first introduced to her in The One Real Thing because she was such a happy character and that didn't change in her own book. I loved that she had this infectious happiness about her that made me smile while reading her story. I liked that she never really lost that spirit of hers, even when life wasn't going exactly how she wanted.

Vaughn wasn't a character I would file away as an asshole-hero but he definitely had moments that I wanted to slap him. Then the other side of my brain would wake up and say "Hero being a jerk? I want him" I don't know what it is about these men in books that make me want to jump their bones when in real life I would be kicking them but I'm not going to argue with my needy side. But he wasn't just a jerk, he had a lot of sweet moments that made me swoon even more and I actually loved him with Bailey.

Overall, this is a great addition to this series and now I will sit here and patiently wait for the next. Did you believe that? Because I didn't, I'm going to be freaking out until I can get my hands on the next story! I think I know who it's going to be about and I'm so damn curious I could hunt this author down and force her to tell me if I'm right or not.

I have been dying for these two since I read the first book, and it didn't disappoint! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Vaughn and Bailey. Such a good story. Now, I have a new (potential) couple obsession, and I'm sure it will be the last book lol! Can't wait for the next one in the series, too!

I love this series. I'm soooo ridiculously happy that Samantha Young chose to write about Bailey and Vaughn for the second book in the Hart's Boardwalk series. I was afraid we were going to have to wait a few more books to fully explore all the yummy tension and snarkiness between them. Now when's the next one coming out?! Can't wait.. :)
