A highly entertaining, fast paced read with fascinating characters.

A swashbuckling trip through the dark of space with a crew of misfits and aliens, captained by a brilliant stategist who would make Grace O'Malley, the Pirate Queen proud!
After her ship is destroyed, without her knowledge, Vas takes possession of the Warrior Wench. The ship looks like a high class bordello but is outfitted with the highest of tech and the best of weapons. She and her crew find themselves chasing parts of their old ship and uncovering mystery after mystery.
She also finds herself in a compromising position with her sexy second in command who is also a telepath. Due to a horrible childhood incident, she loathes the thought of a telepath in her mind much less in her body.
The plot is a rocking ride through the galaxy, with battles, secrets and love. But I needed an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of the crew as a whole, who was what race, what did they look like and what did they do.
I also has a flow chart of the mysteries and how they linked.
It was worth it though, for Vas alone. As hard drinking as any man, as strong willed as any captain and bright as a star, her character is worth it all.
4 out of 5 stars.

This was a slow starter that required a little bit of work with all the names that were thrown at you.
But I have to say it was a brilliant Science Fiction Space Opera that only got better the further I read.
I cannot wait to read the next in the series.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I have to say that I could not get into the story. I will have to try and read this again at another time. Unfortunately, this story was a little slow paced and did not meet my preconceived expectations based on the description and cover. I am sure that this story was awesome, it was just not for me.
