Roger Casement and Herbert Ward are unlikely friends in this interesting historical novel that moves between Africa, New York, Paris,. and beyond over a period of years. This is the sort of historical fiction you can sink into. A very good read.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an Advanced Reader Copy in exchange for an honest review. I loved the writing style. I just couldn't get engrossed in the story. I gave it two or three chances before finally surrendering. I would try another book by the author though.
