The title of this book is very accurate...slow burn. The story was very slow to get moving and at times I struggled to finish the book. However the last 40% had picked up and started to get really interesting.
I found Ron hard to relate to in the beginning; towards the end though I started liking him more. Ashley's story was heartbreaking especially given her limited memory recollection of the events.
