I wasn’t able to finish this book. Because of this, it is my policy not to review the book on my site or on Goodreads/Amazon. I also didn’t mark it DNF.

I love an entertaining cosy mystery. This series is interesting, witty and difficult to put down. Hard not to like it.

I was definitely in the mood for something to enjoy in this week before Halloween, when I came across this unread mystery in my kindle. I know it was published years ago, and I had read an thoroughly enjoyed another book in this series in the past, but I missed this. What a delightfully, wonderful book this was.

The characters are so much fun--much different than the ones typically found in cozy mysteries. The two ghosts are a great addition, and the cat--Wind Song--who can work a Ouija board, added to the plot.

The mystery was well done, with enough clues to have me guessing whether it was this person or that. I like that the solution fit the story.

So bravo! I recommend this very enjoyable mystery !

As the owner of It’s Vintage, Y’All in Sugar Creek, Georgia, Cookie Chanel is thrilled that author Juliana McDaniel wants to meet with her regarding her upcoming book on Vintage Fashion. On her way to meet Cookie, Juliana is shot and killed. When Cookie arrives at the roadblock where the incident occurs, she manages to meet up with Juliana's ghost. Of course Cookie can not turn down Juliana's request to find out what happened to her.

Cookie and her ghostly sidekick Charlotte are ready to investigate the situation. Once again, Charlotte with her sassy attitude, along with Cookie's investigative skills had me smiling and laughing one minute and worrying the next. With the help of her best friend Heather and her psychic cat, Windsong, they not only investigate the mystery of Juliana's death, but try to track down where Windsong came from. The characters' interactions are wonderful and they are such good friends whether human or ghost, that I would love to meet them. The mystery in this story took a few twists and turns before the final unveiling of the culprit. Once again there is a lot of description of vintage clothing and outfits, but in this case, much of it was necessary to the plot. This was another fun adventure that moved quickly and kept me entertained until the end. This is a good addition to the series and I enjoyed reading it. I would recommend this book to cozy mystery lovers as well as those who like vintage fashion, especially hats.

This is the 4th book in the series. I really enjoy the series and all the characters.

In this book Cookie Chanel is on her way to a meeting with Juliana McDaniel who is going to interview her about vintage clothing for a book she's writing, comes across a car accident. Cookie goes to the car to see if she can help anyone and runs into Juliana's ghost. Juliana joins Cookies other friendly ghost Charlotte and they decide Cookie must find out what happened to Juliana and who killed her. In this process, the end up being pursued by people wanting a vintage hat what was in Juliana's car. Cookie and Dylan are becoming friendlier and she doesn't want to upset him by investigating the murder, but she can't resist the urge to solve it.
This was another fun, cozy mystery.

A vintage hat is at the center of a mystery, as Cookie and her friends (paranormal, feline and otherwise) take on the murder of a young woman. There's suspense a plenty, but also humor and lots of vintage clothes. This is a fun, cozy read, with lots to recommend it.

This book had me laughing. Cookie Chanel owns a vintage clothing store. She is supposed to meet a woman to get clothes from her. Right before they are to meet the woman gets killed. Cookie ends up seeing her ghost. Cookie also works with another ghost and they seem to get into trouble solving murders. The ghost of Charlotte is funny. Cookie also has a cat who talks with them through a ouija board. I received this from NetGalley.
