This was a very good book. Alive with suspense. I enjoyed my time with it. (4-star review on Amazon)

This was a middle of the road read for me. Some parts of it seem to drag. The twist at the end was definitely out of left field. Overall a passable read.

I liked this book but didn't love it. It's the story of child being apparently abducted and the effect this has on the parents already difficult marriage. Both parents were not easy characters to empathize with and many of their reactions/actions were jarring. There were many places where I found myself shaking my head in disbelief at what the reader was supposed to go along with. I might try another by this author because I did enjoy the fast pacing and his writing.

This is not an author I have tried before, overall the book was good, but I think it could have been executed a bit better.

The storyline was one that hooked me but I felt at times the characters were a little stiff. For example I did not feel the parents reaction to their daughter being missing was as it should have been. I would be beside myself and I didn't get that feeling from these parents. They were too laid back if that makes sense.

Overall it was an ok book but not brilliant and for that reason I give it 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
