A story cross of romance, suspense and policy procedural...there were plenty of misdirects and twist, which I enjoyed, but I just couldn’t get with the romance aspect. As this is the first book by this author I’ve read, I’m not too sure about reading any more going forward.

I didn't care for the voice or the narrative style; there was too much "explanatory" dialogue between professionals (cops don't talk to other cops by explanation, I guess, since they all know what they're all about).
Also, the characters left me cold, I wasn't interested in the murder, and the story itself failed to pull me in.

This book was refreshing and new, I felt compelled to finish it all in one sitting! It was great, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it! It captured my attention from start to finish.
