Kerry Lonsdale continues to amaze me with her character development and story telling. I really, truly loved the characters in this novel. I am not usually one who enjoys romance in my novels and this book had just the right amount of romance that was so sweet and enjoyable (girl next door kinda love). The story was original and kept me on my toes throughout the whole narrative. I really believe Kerry is an author to watch who will wow us with more great writing in the future!
This was a compelling story that kept my interest all the way to the end, and I enjoyed the twists throughout.. The story line was unique and interesting and I especially loved the themes of love, forgiveness and peace. I am looking forward to reading more by this author.
Thanks to NetGalley for allowing me to read this e-book in exchange for an honest review. This was my first book by Kerry Lonsdale. I really liked the characters and especially the closeness between mother and daughter. Personally I did not care for the paranormal aspect. Don't get me wrong, it's a well written story with mystery and suspense and definitely worth 4 stars, just not my cup of tea in the paranormal area.
Good holiday read type book. Not the kind of thing I would usually read, but I sped through this to the end. Recommended.
Such an amazing book! I really made a connection with each of the characters!
I so enjoyed this story.
A single Mom (Molly), needs to take care of her young daughter (Cassie). Cassie is being bullied at school. People all think she is "weird".
Molly knows how this feels. She grew up with people and kids thinking the same about her including her Dad.
Cassie has some awful night terrors and unfortunately they often come true. She sees things in the future, just as her Mom did.
Molly runs back to her home town with Cassie to find some answers and visit her Nana, who she knows will find the help she desperately needs to comfort her daughter.
I loved this story of hope and love, which is exactly what this family finds as we continue reading.
This was not my favorite book, though was readable. My personal opinion is that I do not care for psychic themes. However, the author is still a great writer. Overall, not my type of genre, though might still read this author.

This is an excellent book! I really enjoyed it and will definitely read more from Kerry Lonsdale.
Love lost and found - magical lyrical book - wish I had a friend like Molly Could not put it down
A bit of paranormal with a touch of fantasy and a good dollop of romance spice up the suspenseful time awaiting the unveiling of the magic moment in which the truth is revealed. Throw in a bit of neuroses resulting from a truly dysfunctional parent, and a happy ending tinged with the sadness of inevitable loss, and you have a wonderful read
I did not finish this book as I did not engage with the story or the characters.
All the Breaking Waves by Kerry Lonsdale is the story of one woman’s struggles with her past as she tries to help her troubled daughter. Molly Brennan wakes up to one of her daughter’s night terrors. Cassie has dreams and visions of terrible accidents. After two of her visions come true, her school principal places her on suspension. Cassie then has a vision involving Molly and her own death. Molly, at a loss about what to do next, goes to the one place she feared: home. She arrives at her grandmother’s Pacific Grove, California home. A house which holds many terrible memories for Molly. When she arrives, she runs into her childhood friend and sweetheart, Owen Torres. A man whose heart she broke many years ago. As Molly and Cassie try to rebuild their lives and avoid circumstances in which her visions depict, Molly confronts the past and the reasons she left home, vowing never to return. Will she be able to face the past? Will she comes to terms with who she is? Will she be able to let Owen back in and accept his support and love?
This is the second book I’ve read by Ms. Lonsdale. All the Breaking Waves did not disappoint! It is a great book filled with drama and family secrets, long lost love and moving forward. I loved every character even the secondary characters, the grandmother’s friends, who were only in one scene but gave the book a dose of humor that lightened the mood before diving deeper in the family secrets. I loved the love story between Owen and Molly. Every character seemed very real to me and could even be people I know. I especially loved the description of Pacific Grove. Ms. Lonsdale’s descriptions made it feel as if I were really there. I highly, highly recommend All the Breaking Waves!
All the Breaking Waves
is available in paperback and Kindle on Amazon
and in paperback with Barnes and Noble
This was a beautifully written Romantic Suspense thriller that can be read in one sitting. I'm not a big fan of the Paranormal/Supernatural genre but this novel didn't overwhelm with it. I would recommend this and it would make a great beach read.!
I had many high hopes for this book as I read her previous title and it did not disappoint. I was sucked in at page 1 and could not put it down. I was taken on a great journey.
I loved this book and was unable to put it down. It is a great mysterious thrill ride and I read it cover to cover. Molly is a Mom who flees her life to her Grandmothers home. She hopes to rebuild her life and escape the nightmare of her past. .As a child of abuse she is unable to reconcile her past with her present life. As she experiences horrific dreams that frame her days , she finds they have parallels in her every day life. She discovers her daughter shares family powers that affect her peace of mind and ability to move on Amid a rekindled relationship with her high school sweetheart who is her neighbor. This book has many different elements and is a enjoyable read. I liked the well crafted story and supporting characters. The location of Pacific Grove is beautifully described and sweeps the reader into the Oceanside community . Well Done ! Thank you for the advance reading copy that did not influence my review.
Lake Union Publishing and NetGalley provided me with an electronic copy of All the Breaking Waves. This is my honest opinion of the book.
Molly Brennan and her 8 year old daughter Cassie live a modest lifestyle on Molly's salary as an art history professor at a local college, supplemented by the sales of jewelry that has been uniquely crafted from collected sea glass. When Cassie's visions and nightmares get to the point where they are unbearable, Molly takes a step that she never though she would: she takes Cassie home to Pacific Grove. With Owen, Molly's old boyfriend, and Nana by her side, will Molly be able to come to terms with her unique gifts? Will Molly be able to reconcile her past and preserve her daughter's future?
Instead of just a standard romance, the author added some supernatural elements to make the book more interesting. Molly's story was complete, but the book would have benefitted from a little more background on Owen, Nana, and Cassie. Considering how strong willed Nana is, I found it difficult to believe that she did not fight to help Molly understand her gifts, especially after she was out from under her Dad's thumb. A family history regarding the special abilities that seem to have been passed on through the females in the family was missing and would have helped readers to understand the importance of Molly's past. All the Breaking Waves was a solid read and I would recommend it to those who like romance with supernatural elements.
A beautiful story about mothers and daughters, about fear and trust, and about accepting the past. It centers around Molly, a woman with a gift for seeing into the future -- a gift that she's passed onto her daughter, Cassie. But like many gifts, this one comes with liabilities. How can we save our children from the parts of ourselves that are deep within them? Haunting at some points and lovely in others, this is a great read.
Such an amazing story of love, family and a bond between a mother and daughter that can never be broken, or can it? This story will capture you from page one and you will fall in love with this waterside tale.
Molly Brennan had run away from her past, and never looked back until now. Her daughter Cassie is more like her than she would ever have imagine and she needs her help. Molly has a successful teaching career but realizes that she has no choice but to return to her little shore town of Pacific Grove and her grandmother whom she hasn't seen in years.
Molly knows that by returning she is going to have to revisit her past fears - her parents tragic ending, the love of her life that she pushed away and the feel of her powers that she has tried to ignore for quite some time.
But Cassie's happiness and well-being surpass Molly's fears and she heads home but only for a few weeks.
What will she find when she arrives? Will her fears drown her and take her last breathe? Will Cassie's fears and images of her mother's pending death be her end?
This book is amazing from page 1 and you will not be able to put it down.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a sneak peak of this book!
