After I saw them here I searched and read some of the books you published (although I did not see them all at Netgalley).

I love the privilege of to reading excerpts from new books! I am always on the lookout for a good read and appreciate the opportunity to preview new authors or catch up with my favorites.

At the risk of repeating myself, I must say that I love the way The Algonquin Reader presents the books it's putting forward. The essay by the author, followed by an excerpt from their book, is brilliant. Often the essay gives me enough of a glimpse into the author and their writing style that I'm hooked without having to read the excerpt. The connection to their work, knowing the source of their story, is more than enough.
Though I'm late to read this installment, there are several books in it that I'm newly excited about reading.

I relay enjoy these readers, it's the perfect way to sort through all the options out there. I was already familiar with The Leavers, and am looking forward to check out the other titles.

The Algonquin Reader Spring 2017 is a terrific look at some great novels, ones I now look forward to reading. Also loved the essays by each featured author. 5/5
Thanks to Algonquin Books and NetGalley for this fun read. Opinions are mine.

It seems great to me that some publishers allow potentional reviewers to be able to sample some of the upcoming works. There were some interesting ones for sure.

After downloading the latest one of these I decided to go back and download the past issues in order to hopefully discover some possible additions to my TBR list. Great excerpts, books added to my TBR!

A great preview of new fiction, some of which I might end up buying

I appreciate the opportunity to read these excerpt samplers. They are such a big help when I'm trying to find titles that went under my radar for one reason or another. I always tend to find hidden gems. Thank you.
