Darynda again takes the reader on a wild ride. The thing that stands out to me is how Reyes and Charley seem to grow closer and their love deeper. So many questions with the cliff hanger. I can't wait!!!!!
I am a huge fan of both this author and this series and this book, like all the others, did not disappoint. Though we are now at the 11th book (wow how time flies!), it never ceases to amaze me how the author so brilliantly includes the perfect mix of humor, seriousness, romance, suspense, and paranormal elements to provide just an absolutely top notch reading experience. It's a perfect storm, so to speak.
The characters are all extremely well developed at this point and reading the next book in this series is always like reuniting with old friends. Though the plot may not be completely realistic, in my opinion, that's half the fun. This book is definitely a 5 out of 5 and I continue to be a totally devoted fan of this series. If you haven't read it yet, do it! You won't be sorry.
I can't wait for 12! The latest installment of Charley Davidson doesn't disappoint. I love the relationship between Charley and Reyes. And I want Cookie as my bestie!
I loved this book. It was a great read and it is fantastic that Darynda can keep the pace up in book 11! Looking forward to book 12.

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 5
Why Charley!!! Why on earth did you do that. Why did you let him...... Uggggg I can’t believe I have to wait until October to see how Charley gets herself out of this miss.
Eleventh Grave will take you on a wild ride and of course Charley is driving so you know things are going to get crazy. So much happens in this book that is leading us to the end of this beloved series. We do get some questions answered. But we get a lot more questions that need to be addressed. Ugg, I am not even sure how to tell you without spoiling the book for you.
But be prepared, you will laugh, you will cry, you will die a little inside and you will scream at Charley (a lot)!!!!! I really can’t wait to see what happens next. To see how this gets fixed. I want to know so bad but at the same time I am dreading the ending.
Ms. King does an amazing job as always. She brings Charley, Reyes, Cookie and all of them to life. I am so thankful that I started this series on audio!! I will be sad when it is done. I am going to have to start looking for a new series narrated by Ms. King.
Until next time!!!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley & St. Martin’s Press in exchange for an honest review. I also purchased an audio copy of this book to review. This review is my own opinion and not a paid review.
LOVED this book... I LOVE the whole series.... Charlie Davidson is my Hero!!! I love her funny sarcastic coffee drinking ways...
And Reyes.... Ummmmm Yeah - Hot, Hot, Hot!!
I liked the last two volumes but something was missing for me in contrast of the other novels. So I was curious to see how the story was going to be this time and I must say that I am once again charmed. I finally found my little more with pleasure!
Charley tries hard to manage her new condition and to find out where to place herself in this world she could conquer. It is not easy when you know that everyone is watching her and hopes for her to do something wrong in order to exile her in another dimension. But then, on top of that, Charley has to deal with many other problems. First of all, her uncle seems to hide something serious and tries to force her to stay at home safely. I confess that I was really curious to know what was really going on, and I did not expect such a revelation. A new case also appears for Charley and Shawn, Reyes half-brother, asks for help to discover the identity of his biological parents. But just like Reyes, Shawn is far from being an ordinary human and this investigation will focus on the Foster, this strange couple and our heroine will discover the terrible truth that her husband hid from her. Yet even Reyes did not expect to discover so much about this family. Something else? Another god is determined to find Beep and Amber seems harassed and pursued by someone.
It was a really interesting story and I let myself be carried away easily from the first chapter. We understand perfectly the doubts of our heroine in relation to everything that happens to her and yet, she will take her courage with both hands to advance. This story also allows us to learn more about the past of Reyes and I confess that it is always something exciting.
You can understand that I had a great time with the story and I can not wait to read more!
Another fun book by Jones. I've read all of these books featuring the Son of Satan and the portal to heaven. Much lighter than it sounds. Lots of silliness, ghosts, and sexy men! I recommend reading from the very start of the series.
Eleventh Grave in Moonlight gives a nod to the number of books in this series so far. So if you are looking for book one it’s called First Grave on the Right and I highly recommend it and this entire series.
Now for Eleventh Grave…
I had been waiting breathless for this book to release. Being a huge Charley and Reyes fan I was thrilled to find out that the series would have more books! My geeky little heart rejoiced and then the horrific realization set in: I would have to wait MONTHS for the next book. *sad face* But the months passed and I got my own copy- Yay! Darynda Jones does not disappoint! Charley is her usual wisecracking sarcastic self. She has the same undying love for coffee and her closest friends. And she’s in trouble. That’s pretty normal for Charley though. She’s got it handled...till she doesn’t. But she’s learning that she is more powerful than she ever thought and she is getting a handle on these powers.
This book ended with the most jaw dropping cliff hanger of any book in this series. I literally stared at my kindle screen in disbelief. How? What? WHY??? You’ll have to read to find out what happens, but it is EPIC.
Once again, I’m giving a Charley book 5 stars. If it were possible I’d give it 23 stars. I love Charley that much.
Wow! Darynda Jones does not disappoint and is the Queen of Cliffhangers. I'm always excited when she has a new Charley Davidson book coming out and internally laugh maniacally when said book is in my hands. I love this series. A god/grim reaper/private investigator as the main character? Who wouldn't want to read that? Each book keeps you on the edge of your seat as you are taken along for the ride in all of Charley's insane adventures.
After reading the 11th installment, I still love this series. The characters are done so well and really love the relationship between Charley and Reyes. The humor is the best. Can't say I loved how it ended but anxiously awaiting the next book! I gave this 4 stars on goodreads.
Another amazing Charley and Reyes story! I love January and October for the only fact that these are usually release months for Darynda's books!
These books have become my top favorite paranormal. Darynda writes with humor, heat and emotion and I cannot get enough! I mean.....Reyes Farrow....come on! Hottest ;) male h ever!!
Darynda Jones is the master. Her characters jump off the page and grab you by the next and punch you in the feelings! I hate finishing her books because it is too long until the next one!
Another great book from Darynda Jones! Could not put this one down.
Somehow Darynda Jones manages to up the stakes with every single installment of this series. I will admit, there have been times that the shockers or cliffhangers frustrated me. But not this time. The end of this book left me hungry for more. I am already anxiously awaiting 12th Grave to see where the story goes next.
But I suppose I should back up and talk about what happened before the last few pages. This series lost a little something for me in the installment where Charley had amnesia. The book after that was an improvement and this one has all of the magic of my favorites in the series. Sometimes it takes me a minute to reacclimate to just how snarky and out there Charley’s internal dialogue is. But as I sink back into it, I really do enjoy her silliness and irreverence. That’s especially true now in juxtaposition to the power she has turned out to be.
There is so much backstory and complicated world building to understand now. I am grateful the book begins with a bit of a recap in the form of Charley talking to a therapist. Yeah, it’s kind of a device for sure, but it served its purpose well.
What I really liked about this story is that Charley’s core mystery is tied directly to Reyes and the couple who kidnapped him and gave him to the monster who raised him. Usually there is an unrelated plot thread that Charley has to solve is a PI, but here it’s all relevant to her family and loved ones. I dig that.
I also dig Reyes. I mean really really, really dig Reyes. He is so sexy and tortured and self-deprecating. Yeah, he’s also powerful, and he loves Charley and their daughter so much. My ovaries could explode.
The secondary characters remain a strong dynamic as well. Like Uncle Bob. Great stuff happening there. Cookie’s daughter Amber. Awesome. Oh, Osh, my how I love thee. I can’t wait until Beep grows up and we see your love story. He is one of my favorite characters and there is so much depth to mine there.
There’s lots of action. Big revelations. Sexy times. And laughs. It was everything I wanted from a Charley Davidson book. And I am truly excited to see what happens in book 12. Bring it on Darynda.
I love this series like Charley loves brown edibles and naked time with Reyes. Thank you to netgalley and St Martin's Press for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I will literally love you forever.
I don't really have anything to add to the bajillions of reviews that have come before mine. This series is one of my favorites. I love how well developed the characters are and that the action and plot are amazingly fast paced. I love that Charley is flawed, relatable, and still trying to figure out who she is, what her powers are, and how she fits into the universe. I love that Reyes is trying to be a better man. And, WHEW, their chemistry is combustible. I love the author’s writing style and Charley’s voice – it is probably the closest to my inner monologue that I’ve ever read in a PNR series. And, aside from a tendency to end a book with a cliff hanger (which, she does again here, OMG), these books are pretty darn amazing. Like stay-up-all-night-and-call-in-sick-to-work-so-you-can-sleep-off-your-book-hangover GOOD.
Seriously. If you’ve read the blurb and it sounds interesting, do yourself a favor and START READING. Just be sure to start at the beginning of the series. This is definitely not a stand alone novel without knowing what has happened beforehand. Why are you still reading this? Just go read the books. You'll love the Charleyverse.
Another great book in this series, full of action and laughs. Bring on #12! I posted a review on Goodreads.
I love, love, love this series. In the 11th installment, so much happens! First Amber is being stalked, then Shawn Foster asks for Charley's help and we learn more about the Fosters who abducted Reyes. And then major things happen to Charley and Reyes. I like that Charley is learning more about her powers, what she can do and about her past. I was not happy with the ending just because I love this couple. But how exciting. Book 12 is really going to ramp up the story for sure. I hope this series never ends.
Oh my gosh that ending! I need the next book right now! This book is jam-packed full of emotions. I found myself laughing, near tears, and in shock at some of the events. Charley also learns more about her (reaper) self, which adds some interesting parts.
I absolutely love anything Darynda Jones writes! Her Charley Davidson series is one that I put down anything I am reading, to pick it up and start. I never want to put it down, and I am always sad when it's over. This book has Charley and Cookie still trying to find out information on the people who kidnapped Reyes.. the Fosters. They really are terrible people. Also something weird is going on with UB.. and Cookie thinks the worst! I am also falling for Osh, I really like the Daeva.. I would love to see more of him, even a novella!! This book is amazing and I'm afraid to say anything else in case of spoilers! I can't wait for the next book to come out, hopefully it won't be too long! She ended it with quite an cliffhanger!! Poor Charley!!!
