Book 2 in this series begins slow. Very slow. What we saw in book one is far more adventurous and nail biting than this one. This one we get more intel on The Saints and what Ragnarok truly is. We gain more understanding of the plot and see into what could happen should this bioweapon be realeased.
Cullen, the youngest Loughman, is off to see Mia Carter, the pilot who last saw his father Orrin. As they begin their search together they also begin a romance. The romance just didn't work for me on this one. It may be because I've wanted Wyatt's story since I've read the first one or maybe just cause I didn't relate to Mia. Though they are great characters I didn't believe the chemistry all that much. It seemed too convenient I suppose, especially for the level of danger they are supposedly in. Cullen is a cocky love em and leave em man. Though he is a kind and caring man he is also very lethal. Just like Mia. She is strong and can absolutely take care of herself so when they're together they are definitely a force to be reckoned with.
So far this series has the books happening at the same time, just different places and maybe that's what seems a bit boring to me. The first one we get some action, this one we get the intel, so what's the next one going to bring? Wyatt alone will have me reading it but I want to know what will come of this series based on what I've already seen.
I give this one 3 stars only because I feel like there could have been more but I suppose that's what keeps readers wanting.
