I initially had interest in this to learn the chakras, and while this book did provide that information, I didn't feel it was very interesting. It was informative but it did not grab my attention. I'm a master meditator, so some of this felt repetitive and for me, unnecessary. I think this would be a good one for a target audience of new to the field of meditation.
Hey, everyone! I'm back with another book review for you. This time, I'm going to share my thoughts on Discover Your Master Chakra by Stephanie S. Larsen. This book is all about finding your dominant chakra and how to use it to improve your life.
If you're not familiar with chakras, they are energy centers in your body that correspond to different aspects of your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. There are seven main chakras, from the root chakra at the base of your spine to the crown chakra at the top of your head. Each chakra has its own color, element, symbol, sound and function.
In this book, the author claims that one of your chakras is more powerful than the others and that it influences your personality, strengths, weaknesses and life purpose. She calls this your master chakra and she helps you identify it through a quiz and a series of questions. She also explains how to balance, heal and activate your master chakra and how to use it to manifest your desires.
I found this book very interesting and informative. I learned a lot about myself and my master chakra, which turned out to be the heart chakra. I resonated with the description of the heart chakra personality and the challenges and opportunities that come with it. I also enjoyed the exercises and meditations that the author provided for each chakra. They were easy to follow and effective.
I gave this book four stars because I think it's a great introduction to the concept of master chakras and how to work with them. However, I also felt that some parts of the book were too general or vague and that some of the information was repetitive or contradictory. For example, the author said that your master chakra can change over time, but she also said that it's determined by your birth date. I was confused by that and I wished she had explained it better.
Overall, I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in learning more about their chakras and how to use them for personal growth and transformation. It's a fun and easy read that will inspire you to discover your master chakra and unleash its power.
Great idea for a book and really well executed. A thoroughly good read. Highly recommended. .
This is a wonderful book on discovering ones master chakra and how it impacts your life. It is beautiful.
Good read for learning about the Chakras and what each relates to.
A great book to read about the chakras present in our body......
I am somewhat familiar with the chakra system, so I thought this book would be pretty interesting when I first read the summary. And it truly was. Written in an entertaining yet informative fashion, Discover Your Master Chakra is part guide book, part workbook, that allows you to connect to your master chakra, which guides your personality.
It kind of reminds me - in format and concept - of a book on Zodiac signs, taking the same principle of having a sign or a chakra assigned to you, that fits your personality, and guides who you are, and who you will be compatible with.
While I believe that we as humans are a lot more complex than to be clearly defined by any system, I found it entertaining, and at times, it hit home - matching some of what I thought of myself already with the Master Chakra color, that the book said I was.
I love the workbook part. I found a lot of the questions to be great journal starters, which could be a
useful part of your journey of self-discovery, and growth.
I also loved that Stephanie Larson included meditation into this book because I am a believer in the transformational power of meditation, no matter which forms one chooses to apply.
Overall, Discover Your Master Chakra was a good, entertaining and light-hearted read, that I would recommend for anyone who is interested in the chakra system but wants to read something with a little bit of a different approach.

See chakras in a new light. (5 stars)
The past couple of years have been intensely difficult in nearly every facet of my life. I wouldn't quite call myself a soul seeker or spiritual really but I've found that many beliefs considered new age or pagan allow me to tap into something that has been a much needed succor. Among these things I found many discussions of chakras that were engrossing, thought-provoking, and ultimately, something I wanted to learn more about.
Though I'm quite new to the study of chakras this book offered something I hadn't considered before to what I had learned. I was quite surprised to find that my own master chakra was not at all the one I thought it might be. Further, as I delved into the workbook for my master chakra I quickly discovered just how accurately the information fit. It gave me some food for thought and some practices to implement as I work on personal growth.
While my initial read through focused on finding my own master chakra and learning more about it I will most definitely dive back in at a later date to learn about how to cultivate other chakras. If you've wanted to see chakras in a new way or simply are looking for a new spiritual tool for personal growth, I think this book is a resource worth adding to your library.
