This book caught my attention from the first and did not let go! I barely stopped reading it and loved the pace, characters and setting. I liked how Shaw flipped back and forth between past and present to tell the story of William' South's father and what happened to him. I also enjoyed how he had many red herrings along the way that pointed to a more sinister reason for murder of his neighbor. I didn't guess the killer and through expected a more pat ending. This book begs for a sequel - please don't disappoint!
