Rob and Daphne get their day in paradise. I loved the build of their relationship and that there was no insta-love. They took time to get to know each other and allow time for their relationship to build. I didn't know if I'd enjoy this story because I havne't read all the books in the seires - but Ivy made sure we didn't leave disappointed. I can't wait to read the rest of this series.

I was given the opportunity to read an electronic copy of Third Chances. This is my honest opinion of the book.

Third Chances is a highly unrealistic new adult romance set at an exclusive resort in the very exotic location of Costa Rica. Here readers will meet one of the biggest groups of emotionally unstable people assembled in one book. They all end up at the same resort for different pre-wedding parties and when the cat is away...

Rob has had a crush on Daphne for a year, but will he let his second chance go by? Will James mess up his future? Will Kristen ever stop the cringe-worthy, highly inappropriate flirting with her unrequited crush? Will Daphne let go of her past? Will Matt stop his destructive meddling? These are just a few of the characters and situations in which they find themselves.

I really had issues with Third Chances, perhaps because I had trouble relating to the characters and their circumstances. The only thing about the premise that I found plausible was that the two groups went to a resort to provide a last fling for their friends. This was clearly not the book for me, but the right audience might enjoy the characters and the setting.

I was definitely intrigued by Rob and Daphne's story.
He watched her from afar, afraid to make his move. Then he sees her a year later on a remote island. She's there for a bachelorette party and he's there for a bachelor party.
It's a sweet story because he's sure he's never looking for love and she doesn't think she's looking for a one night stand. But because of something horrific in her past, she's afraid to commit to anything at all.
I gave it four stars because Daphne was definitely a little wishy washy. One minute she's having fun with Rob and the next, she's having a mental breakdown. Plus, when Rob got mad at Daphne over a misunderstanding, he was flip-a-switch nasty to her. Complete with bad-mouthing her in his mind and calling all sorts of names. A little crazy.
