When my friend Lisa tells me that I have to read a particular book, I know better than to argue. It's almost freaky how much we love the same books and heroes. So when she told me about a book she had just finished and told me that I had to read it, of course I listened and immediately picked up In A Ranger's Arms. Lisa has yet to "steer" me in the wrong direction. Heh, get it? Steer? Saying that I loved this book would be a massive understatement. The author had me giggling, swooning, and everything in between. Her characters were so much fun and sexy. Lula Belle had me in tears. That cow... I think she's a little bit of a matchmaker at heart. I can't wait to see what antics she gets into in the next book. I enjoyed this book immensely. From the author's writing style to her delicious characters, I loved In A Ranger's Arms from the first page to the very last.

Love, love, love this series. I read In a Ranger's Arms which is the first book in The Men of at Ease Ranch series second but it didn't cause any problems with understanding either book.

I was amazed at how deep this book is...... not only a romance but a story of love & healing for a hurting soldier.

And Lula Belle is just so entertaining!

Donna Michaels is a new favorite author. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

This fantastic read is book one in The Men of At Ease Ranch series and it features Army Ranger Stone Mitchum and business owner Jovy Larson. This is a sweet, steamy romance and on this ranch they give veterans a place to belong and heal. Jovy and Stone are great together but there are some very strong obstacles in their way.

All the characters in this series are fantastic! Lula Belle just might be my favorite. I can't wait to read the next book.

Jovy has four weeks to prove to her grandfather that she can take over CEO of the family business Larson Industries.Jovy had promised her dad she would become CEO on his deathbed and she wanted to keep that promise. Jovy’s competition is her cousin for the CEO position. To do this Jovy is to set up a gluten free cafe - The V Spot- in Texas in cattle company. Stone had been an Army ranger . Now with the help of his brother Brick and two former Rangers his is building up his company Foxtrot Construction that helps veterans transition back into civilian life after being in the service and serving their country. Stone becomes Jovy’s landlord. Lula Belle the cow charges forward and Jovy is on a ladder but Stone catches Jovy and keeps her from being hurt. Jovy and Stone are attracted to each other but Jovy will be gone again in four weeks.
I loved this story . I really couldn’t find anything wrong with it. I felt this story was very realistic. I was captured from the start and stayed that way until the final page was read. This was an easy read. It had a good plot and was well written as well as well paced. I even chuckled at times which is always good and adds to the enjoyment of reading this story. I love all that Stone was doing for the Vets to fit back into civilian life. Stone alone and all he was trying to do made this worth reading not even adding is the rest of the elements and parts of this great story. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I recommend.

This was an enjoyable read. Stone is running a construction company with the help of two ranger buddies. They employ and house veterans. Stressed about money, Stone is frustrated with his new renter in town, Jovy, who hasn't paid her first month of rent. After saving her from a cow, he realizes she's gorgeous although only here for a month. Jovy is trying to prove herself. She has to sell vegan food to a town full of meat-loving cowboys! This book was sweet and funny and a great read!

PS...the cow is the best character!!

Jovy moves to small town Texas for a month with a challenge: open a vegan restaurant in cattle country for four weeks and make a profit. Her cousin has a similar challenge. Whoever ends the month with a larger bottom line is named successor and CEO of her grandfather's company in Philadelphia.

Stone is an former Army Ranger - and also is Jovy's landlord. Stone is used to taking care of everyone around him, especially the his friends and employees at At-Ease Ranch. Jovy shows up and all of a sudden he wants something (someone) only for him, which is unfamiliar to him. Stone and Jovy have a rocky beginning, but are attracted to each other from first glance and can't stay away.

I would give this book
4 stars. This is as a quick, fun read. I liked the story, and the main characters. Their chemistry is great and I like their banter back and forth. I thought it was hilarious how hard it was for Jovy to act vegan when she was dying for a steak. The other guys at the At-Ease Ranch are great characters, too. Bask in the sexy, snarky, flirty banter between two very unlikely people. Stone has his focus aimed in a direction that does not include the opposite sex. He has a job to do and having his libido engaged was not on the to do list for the day or the week. That was until Jovy.

I got to say that this was so much fun. The banter was fun. The antics were just that icing to send things over the top. There was more to Jovy than Stone could have every expected. There were other fun and very entertaining characters. Come to find out more about how Stone and Jovy make it work and stay to see the others that makes Ease Ranch the place to be.

This is my first book from Donna Michaels and I am hooked!Looking at the blurb I just thought it would be a run of the mil romance, but it was so much better than that!

Jovy Larson has a lot riding on how she handles the four weeks of her test.She has to sell vegan food in Texas, which isn't an easy task.And winning at this would determine whether she would take over as CEO of her family business or her cousin after their grandfather retires.After her parents passed away early, she has always wanted to uphold her promise to her father.
But now there is a sexy distraction in the form of a hot cowboy.Should she start something when she might not be there after four weeks?

Both Stone and Jovy were well-developed characters and though the attraction between them was a little instant, the development of the relationship between them was believable.I loved how determined Jovy was, but at the same time loyal to those that she loved.
The relationship between Stone, his brother and his friends was beautiful and I loved Brick especially!Lula Belle was a hoot too!LOL!

Can't wait to read Brick's story in Her Secret Ranger!

P.S. Is there a reason why their parents named their sons Stone and Brick? Lolol!

This is another great Entangled/Lovestruck story! I’ve never been disappointed with one. The writing is good and entertaining. This is a quick read and a super sweet story without too much angst while dealing with a serious subplot. I love what Stone and the other Rangers are doing with the family ranch. There is potential for some heaviness to a couple of future stories but also some healing.

Stone is a pretty amazing and sweet man. He’s a gentleman through and through although he’s a bit stubborn. He’s suffering not only the after effects of serving in the military but the guilt of what he feels are his shortcomings. He feels responsible for everyone…although he learns the hard way he might not be.

Jovy is a tough, smart businesswoman. She is immediately swept away by Stone and has no defense against his charms. She is strong and independent. She learns several lessons during her short time in Joyful and is better for it.

Stone and Jovy seem pretty perfect together – their chemistry is off the charts, their banter is entertaining and they make each other better people. I can’t wait to see more of them in future stories.

The cast of characters is pretty great and I can’t wait for each of these men to get a story. This should be a pretty outstanding series!

One little pet peeve I have is the boys’ names – Stone and Brick – are those their real names and if so, what??? Nothing too big just a little silly and distracting and maybe we’ll find out in Brick’s book that it’s a nickname?

Overall a great read that I recommend and I’m going to follow the series until I know all about each of these wonderful Rangers!

This book was super sweet, super sassy, and super sexy!

Jovy Larson is being put to the test. Go to the heart of cattle country and run a Vegan Cafe for one month with success. If she can do it, he will be able to take over her grandfather's business as CEO. How hard can it be? I mean her cousin has to sell snowmobiles in Hawaii for god's sake!

But what Jovy didn't figure in, is meeting the sexy ex-army, turned cowboy - Stone Mitchum. He's a distraction that she doesn't need but there is this pull that she can't deny.

Stone Mitchum doesn't have time for relationships. He's putting 110% of his effort into helping vets fit back into society after serving their country. But the new sassy tenant of his is definitely pulling him in a direction he hasn't thought about in a while.

I adored this book. Southern charm, small town antics and love where you least expect it. Get this book!

With one of the funniest opening scenes I’ve ever read, Donna Michaels’ had my attention immediately and In A Ranger’s Arms continued to be a great read. The book is a mix of funny, serious, sensuous and sweet. Jovy and Stone are immensely likeable and their chemistry is tantalizing but they get off to a shaky start when Jovy tells Stone what she thinks about her landlord not realizing Stone is the building owner.

The military aspect of the book is minimal as the man are no longer on active duty. Stone, his brother and business partners are were in the Rangers together and the goal of their ranch and construction business is to support veterans and teach them skills. Much of Stone’s motivation with the business and his protectiveness of the people he cares for are highly influenced by his having been their leader but I suspect he had those traits before the Army too. Jovy is impressed with the ranch and the mission because she’s got a heart as big as Stone. She wants to help out from her first visit and jumps bright in to use her business skills to assist Stone and the guys.

Despite being a business heiress, Jovy is as down-to-earth as they come. She makes friends easily in small town Texas and wins over everyone at the ranch. Stone’s a good man. The kind who gives freely of his time and talents and feels a strong need to take care of those around him. You could say the two of them getting together couldn’t have happened to two nicer people.

The book had a great balance of humor, tense situations, hot sex and tender moments. Michael’s had me engrossed from start to finish. I laughed, I cried, I cheered, I can’t wait for the next story.

STone and the other rangers are broken and yet sexy and put together. Through Stone’s ranch and construction business they are pulling themselves together. they still need help but they are working together. Stone needs help the most. He is riddled with guilt with what happened with his best friend and not being there. He has now taken the weight on his shoulders and is straining under the stress. He’s a great guy caring and sweet just burdening himself with everything and not letting himself take a break.

that’s where Jovy comes in. She is competitive and in town to win the taking over her family’s company. Her task to run a successful vegan restaurant in a town of cowboys and ranches. She starts off with a bang-telling her landlord what she thinks of him. Her landlord-Stone. What she doesn’t realize is he really is a good guy. The attraction between them is palpable and so is both their desires to help others. He helps her business and she helps him and those around him.

Together they balance one another and have them see what is important. Stone begins to relax and Jovy finds herself. Than Stone’s guilt comes back and they grow apart. But this is a good thing because he sees the writing on the wall and him and the guys are forced to face some hard truths. This in turn gets them to become more whole and Stone to see his love for Jovy. He does a grand gesture that has you smile.

A wonderfully entertaining, sweet tale of two broken people in different ways who help the other heal and see that they belong together and are made for one another. We get some serious moments, sad moments but also some romantic and fun moments. The cow will crack you up and so will some of the townspeople. A fun romance.

Absolutely amazing! This story engages the reader right from the start. Emotionally charged, you will want to give up your weekend to finish this story. So funny at times that I laughed out loud, especially when it involves a pet cow. Wonderful story. Can't want to read what's next.

I love reading enemies to lovers romances and this one definitely hit the mark, it warmed my heart, left me smiling and looking forward to more! I think it's safe to say Ms. Michaels has earned herself a new fan!!

When Stone Mitchum and his brother took over running Ease Ranch, they used it to help fellow veterans. They, also, established Foxtrot Construction to give them work. It's been a struggle, but they're determined. Stone has no life outside of the company, until he meets Jovy Larson. She's here to set up a vegan cafe in cattle country and he's her landlord. Their attraction is immediate and intense, but will Stone take a chance on love? I like Jovy. She's a warm, giving woman. She has a great sense of humor and loves with her whole heart. Stone is her opposite. He's filled with guilt and remorse. He cares about others. I was sorry that he felt he didn't deserve to be happy. He has so much to give. I loved their interaction. It's intense and romantic. I was quickly pulled into the story by the great characters. I liked everyone at Ease Ranch. Stone's other lady love made me laugh. Lula Belle, the love struck cow, adds a dash of humor to this romantic story. Donna Michaels did a great job. I enjoyed The Men At Ease Ranch and I'm hoping to see more of them.

Sweet, funny and with a deep message, In a Ranger’s Arms was a fantastic way to spend my Saturday. Donna Michaels, a new-to-me author, handled her business with ease—which is to say, she wrote a hell of a story.

Stone and Jovy were so great together, from their antagonistic start to their heated horse ride to their wonderful HEA. I enjoyed the way they connected, their banter, their support of one another and their dreams. It made me smile, the simple way they came together, the (mostly) angst-free way their relationship progressed.

I enjoyed, too, the idea of the At-Ease Ranch and Foxtrot Construction. It was both kind and smart, and seeing the relationship between the men was just another reason to love this book. As was Lula Belle. She certainly kept the laughs, ahhh, moooooo-ving. *Snicker*

I finished In a Ranger’s Arms not unsatisfied, but a touch disappointed there wasn't just a little bit more. However, the more I'm after may yet make an appearance if Ms. Michaels continues this series, which I absolutely hope she does. I can't wait to head back to Joyful, Texas and visit with Brick, Colt, Vince and, of course, Jovy and Stone. Their sweet and sexy story—a story that made me laugh more than once—wasn't just a fantastic way to spend my Saturday.

This story is a great mix of laughter and loving, and tragedy and hardship. It made me smile and sigh, and it made me want to take action to make the world a better place for so many veterans still suffering in different age groups, in different countries, and barely surviving.
Stone Mitchum is a saint. His heart is as big as Texas, and his aim to save and rescue and take care of as many veterans, or people he cares about, as possible. He is such a perfection with his imperfections that it was easy to fall in love with him, cheer for him, and wish him only the best.
Jovy Larson was a perfect match to Stone since her generosity, kindness, positivity, and pure joy of life without being ditzy was the half that made him whole. They are hot as you can't believe it, yet there's such an awe and joy and tenderness in their earth-shattering lovemaking, constant, detailed, lovemaking that it made me sigh. Yes, there are several detailed sex scenes through the story, Jovy and Stone are very affectionate and burning for each other.
The veteran part of the story was uplifting and encouraging because it gave hope. The author managed to mix great, real information about veterans care and suicide numbers into the story without making it sound like the stats were being listed. I admire the brotherhood and the desire to work together to make it better for as many as possible.
Jovy and Stone were both battling an uphill journey with starting the businesses. They helped each other where they could and worked seamlessly together. Some of the business side of the story made me smile. After years of working in the food industry, I would love to meet the cafe owner that makes 'several thousand dollars' profit during the first month in business, not to mention in just a few days with an odd concept in small town Texas. But I can only wish it would be so in reality as well.
Overall the story left me smiling and with a hopeful mind. The characters are engaging and charming, people you want to know more about, and support and cheer for. With the serious undertone, it was a feel-good, lively, and sexy novel that made an impact yet was delightfully entertaining.
