My disappointment in this book is my fault- I had something pictured in my head, and this was not it. When I saw "Illustrated Book of Big Thoughts from Little Kids", I assume they would be illustrated by kids. Not computer generated graphics.
It was funny at times, but the illustrations killed it for me.
I received a digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

An endearing and heartwarming collection, 'Accidental Poetry' beautifully captures the innocent and hilarious words of children, accompanied by delightful artwork that celebrates the pure joy of childhood.

'I Love You with All My Butt!: An Illustrated Book of Big Thoughts from Little Kids' by Martin Bruckner is a pretty funny collection of the things that come out of the mouths of kids.
Kids do say the darndest things, and they are funny to other parents, so this is a good idea for a collection. The sayings are illustrated, and in some cases a short backstory and child name are given. There are gems like "you're rich and cruel" and "I'm training to be a wolf!" Most of them are pretty funny and the context helps too.
The illustrations are colorful and clever. The sayings are weird and funny. It's a quick read, so it might be best as a gift book for a parent of toddlers to inspire them to collect their own funny sayings.
I received a review copy of this ebook from Workman Publishing Company and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

This is precious and adorable on soooo many levels! It's so very true that kids say the most unintentionally amusing things!

Here's a sure-fire hit: take the super-cute things little kids say, illustrate them imaginatively and colorfully, and viola, you have a fun book that will make your kids laugh out loud. I say this from experience, because I heard my son laughing himself silly, and when I came to investigate he was flipping through Martin Bruckner's I Love You with All My Butt: An Illustrated Book of Big Thoughts from Little Kids.
Bruckner started with his own kids' funny quotes, then solicited others. They said cute things like this:
"Volcanoes are the earth's butt. That's how the earth gets the gas out!"
"I'm sorry. Will you please respect my apology?"
"If you see a snake in a fruit tree, don't believe him!"
"I need a tissue to wipe my feelings."
Now imagine how you might illustrate the above. Even better, pick up I Love You with All My Butt! and see Bruckner's illustrations. I guarantee you'll get some smiles out of it, and, if you're anything like my son, some belly laughs, too.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the complimentary electronic review copy!

While I don’t like the cover, the inside of I Love You With All My Butt! was entertaining. My favorites were about volcanoes and unicorns. I couldn’t help but notice that the children in the book seem to favor their fathers over their mothers.

Thank you for this book. Unfortunately, since it is not in kindle format, I am unable to read it.

Out of the mouth of babes is how I would describe the contents of this book.
Martin Bruckner kept track of some of the funny things his daughter would say. Being an artist he has drawn illustrations to go with the comments. He was going to give it to his wife as a gift on Mother's Day.
We all laugh at children, whether they are our own, friends or families. When they start talking and the things they come away with. The illustrations in the book capture the captions perfectly. I'm sure like me you will the lighthearted comments (you get some of the back story to the comment Section) made me grin from ear to ear. I wish I had thought to do this with my children.
I would like to thank NetGalley, Workman Publishing Company and the author Martin Bruckner for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Any person who has spent any time around kids knows that they say the funniest thing sometimes. This author took the things that he and his wife heard their daughter saying, illustrated them and compiled them for a gift for her. That gift is now a book we can all enjoy. The things Harper said will resonate with anyone who has interactions with small children and the illustrations were just perfect for the quotes. I love you with all my butt would make for an excellent gift for any parent or pre-school teacher or anyone who spends time with children.

Martin Bruckner’s artistic talent brings a whole new dimension to the idiom “out of the mouth of babes”. The compilation of his children Michelle & Harper’s witty chatter transposed in an illustrated format for his wife on Mother’s Day soon became the idea for a book. Often hilarious and frequently filled with wisdom, I Love You with All My Butt, a charming perspective on love and living through the eyes of a child and the creative artwork by Bruckner.

This was very funny. I found it funny, as did my partner and our 6 year old. That's very rare. For that, I thought the book was great! Thanks!

Oh my...
With a title like that how could I resist?
Kids really do say the darndest things don't they? Children are so honest and unfiltered and we often hear the funniest things come out of their mouth. "I Love You With All My Butt" is a collection of sayings from the daughter of artist and father, Martin Bruckner. He wisely kept track of the funny and off the wall things she said. He then made illustrations to go with the comments. At first this was to be done as a Mother's Day gift for his wife. But some of them ended up on social media and were a hit!!!
In the book we have 100 illustrations or "mini posters" with the funny comments (some from his daughter and others collected from other families), along with some of the backstories behind the comments.
I read the electronic version on my iPad and it was very entertaining. I can only imagine how much more impressive it would be in book form. I often find these books to be fairly short. However, "I Love You With All My Butt" has 224 pages which I think is the perfect amount.
This is definitely not your children's bedtime storybook. But it's a very colorful and fun way of looking at the very silly, innocent, sometimes sweet, sometimes sassy and definitely unfiltered things that come out of the mouths of children...often when you least expect it. I may not have found every single one of them hilarious but I enjoyed the majority of them. I think this book would make a wonderful gift.
A few of my favorites:
"Mommy I don't need your mouth to talk to me right now"
"Don't worry about your coffee, worry about your children"
"Mommy are you still wearing your angry eyebrows?"
"Daddy please wipe the bum of this beautiful princess"
And many more!!
Thank you NetGalley, Workman Publishing Company, and Martin Bruckner for providing an advanced electronic readers copy of this book for me to read in exchange for my honest review.
