Tow-Truck Pluck is the story of a little boy who has no family, no home, and no past. When he finds a room in the tower of the Pitt building, he moves in. Each chapter tells a different story. Pluck meets many interesting people in the building—some kind, some not so kind, and some a bit strange. He also helps animals like ZaZa the cockroach, Dizzy the squirrel, and Longmount the horse.
Pluck is always ready to help others, and everyone loves him, except for Mrs. Brightner, the clean-obsessed lady with a spraycan. She won't let her daughter, Aggie, go outside because she might get dirty. Along with meeting people, Pluck befriends other children and his pigeon friend, Dolly.
The story can be read as a series of bedtime stories or as one continuous adventure. Pluck is a kind boy who helps his neighbors—both human and animal—and slowly finds his place in the world. Each adventure has a positive message, like the importance of helping others. The illustrations are colorful and full of emotion. Originally written in Dutch, this book is easy to read and would make a great family favorite.

I have been reading these stories to my son's over the past few weeks and my oldest (three year old) loves the stories of Tow Truck Pluck.
