Right away she meets the most irritating man on the planet, who also happens to be drop-dead delicious.

Recently divorced author Maxwell August has a book due, and his muse has gone into hiding. With a chip on his shoulder, his writing in stuck-mode, he heads to the lake only to encounter a monumental distraction with blonde hair and hazel eyes.

I was provided an ARC of this book by NetGalley for my honest review. This book was a 3.5 for me. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline. The writing style was perfectly lovely, as was the editing/proofreading, which is an annoyance for me if it isn't well done. My issues were with the how the book moved along. I could have done with a little more angst and back and forth with the main characters. I'm perfectly fine with insta-love...but when the storyline has to do with a brooding, uncommunicative, bit of a jerk hero, I like a lot more buildup, conflict, and holding out on giving in to that inst-love by my hero. I like the moment that they realize they can't live without each other to be a bit more hard won. Of course there is fact that they don't communicate a main issue - if they'd just talk instead of assume...well, then I guess there wouldn't be a story at all.
