I don't pretend to know anything about baseball. I've never seen a game, but that really didn't matter despite Going All The Way having a strong baseball theme.
This is a story of second chances, at least as far as careers and lifestyles are concerned. Stacia is an image consultant who has been very much under the thumb of her powerful US senator father, a domineering bully who thinks he can direct both her personal and her professional life. She's been kicked off a political campaign because the candidate she's been minding was caught with his fly unzipped, wrecking his squeaky clean image. Taking up the challenge of resurrecting the image of a bad boy baseballer returning to the game after a year on the sidelines due to injury might be just what she needs.
Jason has a poor press image, has never been regarded as a team player and has a reputation of being a ladies man. He's been out of the public eye for a year recovering from shoulder surgery and really needs a contract to get himself back into the game. Getting that contract with the Georgia Knights is not quite what he had in mind but that's the only offer on the table.
The sexual pull between Stacia and Jason was there from the beginning and it sizzled along nicely. The story worked well too, and it was good to see things working out for these two. Along the way there were some nice twists.
I enjoyed this book. The pace was fast and light. Perfect if you like baseball stories and really not bad at all if you are looking for a light and enjoyable book to curl up with.

A sports romance that actually had some terrific baseball played. The suspense during close games was wonderful and demonstrated the author's gift for a type of writing that grabs your attention and doesn't let go. The close game scenes were some of the best I've read in a very long time.

I truly enjoyed Jason and Stacia's conflicted story from beginning to end. Their characters were well developed, with quite the personalities...quirks and all. I'm glad to see that the series continues, I feel invested in the players and team now, I'd like to see what happens to whom next.

I loved this book. Bad boy turns good for love! Plus I love hockey so this made it even better. Cannot wait to read the rest of the books in this series. Ms. Bennett is fast becoming one of my favorite authors.

“Going All the Way” by Megan Ryder is book one in the “Knights of Passion” series. This is Jason Friar and Stacia Kendall’s story.

Stacia is working with a political candidate and secrets get out to the press so she loses her job. Jason’s reputation has just about killed his chances of having a comeback as a major league baseball player.

Stacia and her friend go out for drinks. Stacia has decided that she is tired of doing what is right. So tonight she is going to take risks. This is where Jason comes in. He is in the same bar not happy that there is only one major league baseball team that is interested in him. Stacia doesn’t know who he is. She decides he is the one that she is going to take chances with. Stacia ends up having a one night stand with Jason.

After losing her political campaign job Stacia is told that she has a job helping a baseball team repair a reputation of one of their players. So, this is where things really begin to get really interesting.

Jason and Stacia are opposites and I loved watching their relationship develop. If you love a great story with hot intimate scenes, then you will want to pick this one up.

I received a copy of this book from Tule Publishing for an honest review.

This was an ok book, poor Stacia was used as a scapegoat in a political campaign and now is out to prove to her horrible father that she has what it takes to keep her job. She goes out with her friend to unwind and ends up having a one night stand. Then we have Jason a baseball player who needs to clean up his act and work on his career, but the team decide he needs someone to watch him, make sure he does that. Ends they were each other's one night stand, they were taboo for each other yet couldn't stay away. even though both had issues to work out. Eventually they do.

Going All the Way is a sexy baseball romance. It is enjoyable with steamy chemistry, but lacking a little in the way of emotional connection. The lacking emotional connection is the only reason I can't give it a 5 star review, because other than that it's a really good read. The writing is good, the characters are well rounded and the pacing is great.

Stacia is an image consultant working solely in the political arena at the start of Going All the Way. Then, her client is caught with his pants down, and her father, Senator Kendall, a seriously pompous, d-bag of a person (and father) throws his weight around and convinces her wimpy boss to fire her from her client's campaign. Stacia, wanting to throw out her good girl, rule following ways, even if for just one night, goes out to drink with her friend and fellow coworker, Sophie, and finds herself a sexy way to get out of her own head when she meets Jason, a brooding baseball player. They have a steamy one night stand, then Stacia bails the following morning before Jason wakes up. When Stacia gets the call from her boss that a baseball team needs her talents cleaning up their new player's image, Stacia is happy, until she meets said player and it's her one night stand from the night before. Pretty soon, the sparks are flying again, and they can't seem to keep their hands off each other. But, when feelings develop, neither is sure of the other, and neither is divulging their feelings. It is inevitable when the fallout happens, and it hurt when it all crumbled around them.

I love Stacia, she's the bright star of Going All the Way. She's smart, strong, independent and has a huge heart. I had a harder time connecting to Jason. He's gruff and whiny, and doesn't seem to think of anyone but himself for most of the book. By the time he allows himself to be vulnerable to Stacia and let her in, I felt it was too little, too late. Perhaps if he had opened himself up much sooner in the book, I might have connected to him and might have felt their emotional connection more strongly.

Stacia Kendall was just fired from her job as an image consultant on what became a losing political campaign with the blame falling onto her. Feeling a bit down and not knowing what she'll be doing next Stacia finds herself flirting with an attractive man and thinking maybe a one night stand is just what she needs right now.

Sneaking off after her night of passion Stacia finds herself being sent to a new job consulting for a baseball player who's image needs work. Out of the political arena Stacia still wants to prove herself to her overbearing father a prominent and powerful Senator. When Stacia arrives to fulfill the contract though she finds none other than Jason Friar, the man she just left sleeping in his bed.

Going All the Way is the first book in the Knights of Passion series. This one was just an OK read in my opinion though. The story of the female character working with the hot, broody athlete is not a new one but the question I always have in this case is why would a professional female put her job on the line crossing the line between private and professional relationships? With this particular story though at least the characters had started their physical attraction before working together to save me from completely disliking a strong woman crossing that line. Otherwise, the writing and characters in this story were done well so it's just my own opinion of that professional line crossing that brought my rating down a bit.

It has been a while since I read a sports romance, and things book gave me everything I love about these types of books. It had the gorgeous but cocky sports star, the media sharks and even the annoying groupies. I loved Stacia's character because she was able to stand up to Jason's childish behaviour and towards the end she even stood up to her dominating father. Jason's character was very self centred and immature at times which was very annoying and I would liked to have seen more alpha male characteristics. The style of writing from Megan was good and I enjoyed the dual point of view. I loved the scorching hot chemistry between Jason and Stacia as it was written very well. Overall a good book and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Plot

Jason Friar is returning to major league baseball after suffering from a shoulder injury and the accusation of doing steroids. The only team willing to take a chance on Jason is the Georgia Knights, who are looking for a leader to try and help their struggling bunch of youngsters. But there is one problem, his contract stipulates he has to work with an image consultant who happens to be the extremely sexy lady he had a one night stand with.

Stacia Kendal is looking for respect after being an image consultant for a disastrous political campaign. She now has to,prove herself to both her boss and powerful and dominating father who is a Senator. Her one chance is to try and change the tainted image of Jason, who she is extremely attracted to.

Will Stacia be help to help Jason while protecting her heart?

Bright lights and big dreams lead to broken hearts. With success on their minds and hope in their hearts, Jason and Stacia set out to follow dreams, but in hindsight the reality proved harder to take than the fantasy. Sports stories are not usually my forte. However, I am becoming more enamored of them with every chance that I take on one. Going All The Way is more than just a sports story. It's a journey of faith, redemption and love. I enjoyed Stacia's strength of character and determination. The perfect female heroine. NEVER GIVE UP, is the message and Ms. Ryder's characters practiced what they preached. With little motivation, a bit of inspiration and the heart of a champion, anything is possible.

I love sports-themed romances and Megan Ryder doesn't disappoint with the first of a new series. This story is for those who like a lot of sexy spice with their romance. Jason is a cocky jock who is getting one last shot to save his career. Stacia, a woman he had a one-nighter with, is an image consultant who needs to prove that she can handle her job. The sparks fly between them hot and heavy, but they both need to stay focused. And that proves to be a lot harder than either thought.
The story is hot and this is more of an erotic read. The steamy sizzle is there and it takes some time for their romance to come together. I do like Jason and Stacia and it is fun watching them try to stay professional. This is a fast paced story with lots fun and heat.
