Description
Meanwhile Zoe Zola, almost famous author, Little Person, and the Weston's quirky next-door neighbor, is hard at work on a new book, this one about the inner life of Emily Dickinson. And once again, Zoe's literary work starts making uncanny connections with the events in her own world as Emily Sutton reemerges into society. But Zoe begins to suspect things aren't anywhere near normal at Emily's swamp house or in the lives of the people she claims have abandoned her...until looking further into the poet's half-truths leads Zoe and Jenny to a horrible murder.
The chaos surrounding the ensuing investigation grows even more hectic with Emily’s increasingly erratic behavior, the arrival of a young woman searching for her missing poet uncle, and yet another betrayal in Jenny's love life. And only poetry can set the truth free in Elizabeth Kane Buzzelli's charming second Little Library mystery, She Stopped for Death.
Advance Praise
"[A] suspenseful sequel...A riveting climax will have readers on the edge of their seats." - Publishers Weekly
“The characters are interesting, and believable, which is a delight…Buzzelli sets the groundwork well, and ups the tension in the final chapters. This is the second book in the Little Library series, and good enough to make one think about finding the first.” – Reviewing the Evidence

In this second Little Library mystery, Jenny Weston and her mom Dora are finding bits of poetry left in the Little Library by the town’s agoraphobic poet, Emily Sutton. Sutton has lived alone with her sister for as long as anyone can remember in a house on the edge of a swamp. Meanwhile, aspiring author Zoe, Dora’s next door neighbor is working on a book about another reclusive poet, Emily Dickinson. It’s not hard for her to make the connections between Dickinson and Emily Sutton as the local poet slowly re-enters the world. Soon there are questions about what’s really happening in the house by the swamp and Zoe and Jenny uncover a murder. There’s a lot happening in this mystery, as Emily gets even stranger, a woman comes looking for her long-lost poet uncle and Jenny gets another disappointment in her love life. This is a great series with quirky characters and interesting sub plots that supplement the main mystery
