I enjoy knitting and the last few years I've been making dish cloths because they are quick to make. This book caught my eye because I figured the end results would be also be quick to do and something other than a dish cloth.

The book is divided into sections based on colour and style:

* The Naturals
* Flower Garden
* Oceantide
* Sunny Days
* Bright and Cheery

Within each section, there are towels, washcloths, bath mitts, bathmats and even a bathrobe with a matching headband and slipper socks! All knitters, beginners to advanced, will find some fun projects!

There are lots of colour pictures and the instructions seem clear. Lots of inspiration for things to knit!

I am a knitter and always on the lookout for new projects and I had only ever really thought about making knitted flannels or face cloths before so I was pleased that this book has lots of lovely items to make, and some brilliant patterns for face cloths too - 4 stars from me, easy to follow and nice images

Great patterns, clearly written. I've enjoyed knitting these items.

I requested this book with hesitation, I know the author, which would likely bias me to say nice things about the title no matter what. I want to write fair reviews, but as I am more involved in this industry, that isn't easy. Additionally, last month I read another title from the publisher's catalog at my library and was incredibly disappointed. My curiosity won out to see if an author's experience could positively and fundamentally shape the book. That answer? Yes.

I was further curious if a topic that I don't have much of an opinion or interest in could catch my eye and make me desire to knit a project or two. Again, that answer? Yes.

Mary Beth Temple has created 30 projects that span from quick and easy to clever and pampering. While the page layout is traditional (to me it feels like a magazine), it is definitely clear and easy to navigate. The charts fill the page, something my eyes appreciate! The photos are styled in a way that feels both inspirational (my bathroom is rarely that tidy) and obtainable (it could be). While I don't think many expect me to work with 10mm needles, the Plush Bathmat looks super squishy and find I want to knit one! I think the lacy mirror is a neat accent idea for any room and would be a perfect to use yarn from a beginning spinner (if I were to put it in the bathroom, I'd stick to a cotton or linen yarn as suggested in the pattern). I found the Cabled Towels a quick and low-cost project that would dress up any bathroom. Don't worry, if bath knits means washcloths for you, there are several! I like the visual index at the end, we're visual people and having a featured image of the project next to the name is a nice and appreciated touch.

It pleases me to say that I recommend Bath Knits!

There are some interesting projects in this book. They seem to to fairly easy and a lot of them would make good last minute presents. They are also useful, so you wouldn't end up with a lot of nice handmade stuff that does nothing but gather dust. I like that there are both written and charted instructions.

Bath Knits: 30 Projects Made to Pamper is full of knit design patterns for the bath accessories like exfoliating wash clothes, cozy bath mats and adorable pedicure socks. The designs are both colorful and practical, and they all look fun to knit. As a beginning knitter, the variety of achievable patterns included made me want to try almost every one.

The difficulty level of the patterns varies, but patterns themselves are not labeled, so I had to judge difficulty just by viewing the pattern or chart, or the final project. As a novice knitter, I am not able to judge potential difficulty level easily, so I found that a bit irksome. That was the only thing I did not love about the book.

Recommended for knitters of all proficiency levels.

I am always on the hunt for new knitting patterns to try, and I happened to find this book just as I was considering trying out things other than sweaters and hats. I love how easy the instructions are to follow and how as I flipped through I saw tons of projects that I wanted to make for myself or others.
