Sadly, I didn't like this tale. Synopsis was great, however both characters lacked charm, and it just ended, with a see you at the wedding (their friends, not their own)
I'll give this one 3.5 hot stars! If you're looking for a hot M/F encounter that's a quick read, then this is the book for you. The blurb pretty much tells it all - so don't expect any hidden twists or secret turns. This is all about two adults rekindling their relationship during one sexy encounter.
Second chance at love.
Amaree was in Austin to attend her friend’s engagement party. When Whitney showed who will be her partner at her wedding she is surprise to find her ex-boyfriend Evan. Spark is flying when each other saw one another in the elevator. When they were paired next to each other during the party, Evan couldn’t keep his hands to himself.
So he invited her to his suite after the party...
They wanted another chance at their love or is it just a hook up?....
Are you looking for a quick sexy fix? Then check out Hotel Hookup: Austin, by Annabelle Snow. This is the first book from the author's brand new series Hotel Hookup. Each short story takes place in a major city, and future locations include San Francisco, Chicago, and Miami.
Amaree and Evan were high school sweethearts before they went their separate ways after graduation. Now it is eight years later, and they meet again at the pre-wedding festivities of their mutual friends. They still have amazing chemistry and decide to spend the evening exploring each other. They are hot both in the bedroom and in the bathroom, and their potential for a future together is bright.
This book has very little story and a ton of hot, steamy sex. The characters are interesting and the author does a great job of creating their personas. Overall, a very fast read that will leave you panting.
Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.
A novella read and not a lot of room for story. The story didn't grab me and the often "technical" notated segments slowed and threw off the momentum of the read.
The synopsis was catchy but the read just didn't get there.
Just by reading the title, you know this book will be steamy. It’s about a hookup; one night spent between Amaree and Evan, who used to date in high school and are reunited eight years later at their friends' engagement party.
If you are looking a romantic tale that is wrapped up with a pretty bow, look the other way. This book is for someone looking for a very hot quick read. This is just the first book of a series and there is no real ending to the story. I am hoping the last book will wrap up what happens to each couple in the end.
A short read and plenty of steam. Good little story about second chances.
**arc from NetGalley and Tule Publishing in exchange for a fair review***
They are second chance lovers and find that they still want each other and have the chemistry that has always been there. This one is straight forward: sex and not much else. We get detailed sex, some parts in was a bit redundant in my opinion. This is a good one if you need to have something in between reads or need some a little light after a book hangover.
Hotel Hookup: Austin is the first in a series of novellas featuring hotel hookups in different cities, by different couples. The common thread is Whitney, a bride-to-be, and her upcoming wedding.
Amaree is a friend of Whitney's, soon to be her bridesmaid. Arriving for the engagement party, she discovers that she's been partnered with groomsman Evan, her old flame from high school.
I liked Evan a lot, actually. We got to see him having uncertainty after inviting Amaree to his hotel room; he has a little panic before deciding to take a shower. It made him seem charmingly human, unlike the male protagonists in a lot of erotica who lack in personality. Amaree, too, a very real; she knows what she wants and she's not afraid of going out to get it.
I did roll my eyes over Amaree thinking that the size of her breasts determine her dress size. DD breasts doth not a size 14 make.
The point of erotica is the sex, of course, and it was very well written. Far too much erotica on the market reads like it was written by teenage boys, with every revolting euphemism thrown in there. There was none of that here; the sex was well-written.
The only flaw I could find was that it seemed almost... clinical, I guess is the word I'm looking for. There was a lot of rather technical description of whose hands were exactly where at any given time, and while yes, this does avoid the dreaded Extra Hand Issue, it did detract somewhat from the 'mood'. I think I'd say, in the end, that the author does a little too much 'telling' us about how sexy it is, and not enough 'showing'.
4 stars, for a technically flawless but slightly sterile encounter.
This is a lighthearted and sexy read with no hidden agenda - the title is definitely an apt one for the story. High school sweethearts Amaree and Evan had an agreed upon breakup when they went to different colleges but 8 years later they are both involved in a wedding party of mutual friends and get the chance to rediscover their attraction during the engagement festivities. It's mostly steamy sex (sometimes a bit more clinical sounding than erotic) as they spend the night together. They leave each other with the promise of picking things up in a few months time at the wedding, but no specific commitment, so I'd call it a happy for now ending. 3.5 stars and I'm curious to read more of this series, which looks to star other couples in similar one night stand scenarios, though all are connected to the wedding to link them together.
Review has been posted at goodreads, it will be posted on sale sites during release week.
I loved the basis for the story and would continue to read more in the series. The only downfall I see is how short the story was. There wasn't enough of the background of their previous relationship to meet my needs. I love romance and read tons of erotic/modern romance novels. This is more of a novella than a full novel.
Evan and Amaree were once high school sweethearts "But now that they were past that, could they somehow rekindle what was once so strong?" . What a steamy and hot hotel hookup between the characters!
If you are looking for a quick steamy read then, this is for you. I read this book in about 20 minutes. There isn't much to the story, characters or the plot.
I am not sure about this read. It was short, which was what I was looking for at the time I chose Hotel Hook-Up: Austin by Annabelle Snow to read, but I was like whirlwind fast. There was little character development and by the time I read the last sentence, I can only say I think I liked Amaree & Evan. I mean I am all for second time romances especially for high school lovebirds, but there was no romancing in this one. I mean Evan did saw he wanted to begin again and Amaree was like sure, but at the end all they promised was to save a dance at their friend's upcoming nuptials which were 9 months away.
I digress, Hotel Hookup: Austin by Annabelle Snow was just okay. Sure, if you are looking for a slam, bam, thank you ma'am, kind of read, this is definitely the book for you. How-so-and-ever, if you need a little bit more to have you swooning over the story and its main characters, this isn't the read for you. But... one more but... there are two more parts in this series to feature two other hotel hook-ups that are all interconnected. I digress, Hotel Hookup: Austin by Annabelle Snow was just okay. If you are looking for a steamy, fun quick afternoon read then grab this book.
I saw this book and thought that the premise was a fun idea and since it was a new author to me, why not. I'm glad I diid.
Though not a long read, it was just long enough to get your teeth into and for you to get a taste of not only the writer but what is to come.
I'll be back for more to see how each story plays out and how it will all come together to play out at the wedding that all the characters are participating in.
Well played Annabelle Snow.
Hotel Hookup:Austin was one quick HOT read. Just imagine being in a friends wedding party and finding out during the wedding party that you are paired with your ex. Well that is what happened to Amaree. She finds out that she is paired with Evan, the one that got away in her book.
When these 2 reunite the fireworks fly. The chemistry is completely off the charts. When chemistry is off of the charts what happens? Read Hotel Hookup: Austin to find out. I promise you won't be disappointed.
Short and sizzlingly sexy! The first in a series of novellas set in different cities but all connected through a wedding. This is a second chance reunion story where bridesmaid Amaree Lowell is paired up with Evan. Evan just happens to be her high school sweetheart and she's never forget him. Nor has he forgotten her. Their attraction is still there and a weekend together proves how hot they burn for each other.
Can't wait to read the next in the series. I definitely recommend this one.
A great steamy romance book that makes you want to be in a wedding just for all the bridesmaid fun.
A hot hookup, but way short on plot. The main characters go from zero to spending their lives together. Fun read as long as you don't have high expectations.
Well, this book advertises exactly what it is. I don't like to give spoilers in reviews but the book is the hook up. There isn't any other real storyline besides that. I do wish that the ending was better. Especially since the characters thought about continuing their relationship but the ending was very disappointing.
The perfect bedtime story, that is fun, sexy and quick. A second chance romance between Aramee and Evan, high school sweethearts, who now reconnect at wedding that they will be in. Great chemistry between these two.
This is the first novella, in the set of four stories with the main theme of the wedding but takes place in a different city. Looking forward to the next books in the series.
The Hotel Hookup series has one thread woven throughout all the stories, the wedding of a mutual friend, Whitney. The first couple’s story is short and extremely hot and sexy – Amaree and Evan were high school sweethearts who parted ways on friendly terms to head off to different colleges and haven’t been in contact for about eight years. Both are in the wedding party and have been re-paired up by the bride and groom.
I liked this couple and found Evan endearing with his slightly nervous moments. Because this is a former couple, there really sin’t much character fleshing out since they already know each other and are now getting to know the mature people they’ve grown into since they last saw each other.
You can expect some finely detailed, super hot and steamy sex between Evan and Amaree. While there is an indication that they may be reconnecting later on… for now we are left with a happy for now ending.
I enjoyed Hotel Hookup: Austin for exactly what it is, a short, sexy beginning to a super sexy series. I’m looking forward to traveling to San Francisco for our next couple in this series. It’s fun, sexy and just enough of a second chance romance to keep hopes high for their happy ever after.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
Fun fast read .. I would definatly recommend it . I cannot wait for her next book

My Thoughts
First i should thank the folks at Netgalley for getting me a copy of this first intro to a new series. I'm always looking for new material. What we have here is a novella in a sense as the first of many installments of a series that i believe surrounds the wedding of a girl named Whitney.
In this first book, we are focused on Amaree who is a bridesmaid and she's come to austin in celebration of the engagement party. After asking who she's being paired with to walk down the aisle, she learns that it's her high school boyfriend Evan and that's when she gets this twinge of excitement run through her.
Where we go over what i guess is a weekend in time is seeing how these two reconnect after 8 years and what their chemistry is like and potential for the future. It's a sweet notion to be honest, but that's about where i can leave it.
I HATE when i don't love a story or when a style of writing isn't for me, and you guys all know me well enough by now that there are few books that i truly have issue with. I think that the idea for the series is a sweet one and has so much potential, but the execution just wasn't for me. The writing is so overly descriptive and there are so many adjectives supporting just about every sentence that it's distracting at times. What could have been a really steamy and passionate book just fell a bit flat for me. I'm so sad that I didn't enjoy it, but please don't keep yourselves from checking it out because we're all a bit different in what we like.
Busy lives and new experiences led to an amicable but heartbreaking split. Fast forward eight years and the one that got away, may just be the one you can't live without. Annabelle Snow gave a fresh look at an often used scenario. Hotel Hookup: Austin is a sensual delight. What caught my attention is that Amaree was a woman with much to offer but she still struggled with body image issues, which is relatable because we all have issues but but they are not always front burner in a story. There are times when less is more and I feel that Ms. Know didn't skimp on the story due to it's length. Hotel Hookup: Austin marks the beginning of something special.
Hot, steamy and ultra sexy, Hotel Hook-Up Austin is a short read which is sure to leave you panting. This one offers x-rated reading which is not for the faint hearted. While there's plenty of sex and it's pretty graphic, there is a thread of romance in there to. It was a bit light on for plot and character development, but will suit you if you like your stories raunchy.
Hotel Hookup: Austin by Annabelle Snow is book number one in the hotel hookup series. This is a very short read. It is more like a volume than a book. This hookup is about bridesmaid Amaree and groomsman Evan.
Amaree and Evan dated back in high school. It has been about eight years since they have seen each other. The eight years have been good to them. The chemistry and attraction is more intense than ever.
This is a hot, steamy, and graphic story of Amaree and Evan’s hookup. There is no real ending to the story. I wonder if at the end the last book will have an ending for each couple in the Hotel Hookup series.
FYI, includes mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
A quick read with super hot and steamy scenes. Low angst and a light, sexy little read. I really enjoyed it.
This was a quick okay read that I had done in a matter of a few hours. The characters, Evan and Amaree had a past and some hot chemistry but this book was over all just an okay read for me. I felt that the characters could have been developed more and some more of their past could have been elaborated on as well as a clue as to what happened to them as a couple in the end. I felt the ending was just abrupt with no real closure but no cliffhanger either.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy via Netgalley.
Annamarie Lowell is in Austin to attend her bridesmaid’s wedding luncheon. While there, she finds out her old high school sweetheart is going to be part of the wedding and is also there. As soon as they see each other, sparks fly.
I had high hopes for a quick, enjoyable read. Instead I got what would’ve been a good plot in theory. Some parts of the story just didn’t make sense, which made me question them more than be interested in what happened next. The characters started out ok but then just weren’t.
