Description
" No Moon sails alone in the sky/the Weaver sits/baskets at her feet/creel of silk at hand."
Elaine Reardon's poetry enchants the reader as it unveils mystical imagery and a delightful dialogue between the inner and outer depths of the soul. Her lively voice invites us into a realm inspired by her artistic background and her deep love of the natural world. I am honored to recommend this lovely collection of her work.
bg Thurston ( author of Saving the Lamb and Nighwalking)
" Elaine invites readers into her heart's eye which sees the subtle, sumptuous contours of life in it's reich sacred expressions. Her poetry is a metaphorical drinking of life's landscapes that reminds me that life is always offering input, guidance, wisdom and delight, when we jst let our senses speak."
Orion Foxwood (author of The faery Teachings, The Tree of Enchanment, The Candle in the Crossroads)

At last!! Reardon's poems are deceptive--at first glance they are lovely poems about the things of daily life. But her words echo in my mind after I have closed the book, and I find myself repeatedly pulling this collection out to re-read the poem that has taken root in me.
My only wish is for more poems.
A grand adventure
By DLK on November 16, 2016
After reading Elaine Reardon’s book of poems, The Heart is a Nursery for Hope, I feel like I’ve been on a grand adventure. Her poems Winter Storm and Below Zero Tonight brought chills to my soul. I melted into the haunting verses of Convent in Primavera Mexico and Primavera Forest. I thoroughly enjoyed Elaine’s unique perspective and her bold interpretation of the stories of Eve and Guinevere. Her odes to people come and gone speak to anyone whose heart is missing a piece. Elaine makes the elements of the everyday such as toasters, canning jars, and blueberries, vehicles of deep emotion. Make yourself a warm cup of tea, settle into a comfy chair and immerse yourself in Elaine Reardon’s, The Heart is a Nursery for Hope.
