As usual, Dover Publications has released a fine book for crafters, especially paper engineers. A unique offering with clear, detailed, step-by-step instructions, the projects here are not for the faint of heart or novice paper folder. That said, because the instructions are communicated so well, ambitious types should be able to complete the projects. However, unlike most Dover craft books, this one does not include photographs of each finished project along with respective instructions. There is only a large photo of one project (which one?) on the cover and a few smaller photos on the back cover, which are difficult to see in the eVersion of this book. Therefore, minus one star. We hope Dover will reconsider the layout and provide photographs for each project before final publication.

What a fantastic book - especially for boys who need hands-on work! The boys enjoyed learning about each component that they were building, putting them all together, and then staging mini-wars with their new weaponry. The instructions are detailed, so that they were able to build everything without any help from mom, but were not condescending. The accompanying photos also helped with construction. My only complaint is that the book did not work at all in kindle format. It must be downloaded through a different e-reader...and my kids only have kindle on their particular tablets. So they stole mine................
