I liked this book. It's the first of this series that I've read, and I had no problems, so can obviously be read as a stand alone.
Throughout the whole book I was worried if Dylan would stay with the team. Actually I was thinking that they would be lucky if there still was a team. It seemed like the Georgia Knights had a lot of problems. It was fun watching them work together for the good of the team.
Savannah doesn't want to take advantage of anyone. So if that means that it makes her job a little harder, so be it. She knows first hand what it feels like to be used and then tossed away when you're of no good anymore. Problem is, she runs a non-profit, and needs to rely on others.
Savannah and Dylan skate around each other for quite a while, until the sexual tension is way beyond anything that they can handle. Together they can do great things, if only they could see that.

The Game Changer (Knights of Passion series Book 3) by Megan Ryder

This is Savannah Monroe and all-star catcher Dylan Prosser's story.

Savannah and Dylan are brought together by a dog that had been abandoned and abused. Dylan doesn't want a dog or a relationship. He wants to put all his focus on his baseball career. Savannah isn't ready for another relationship and wants to concentrate on expanding her dog rescue business. Well, things don't always go according to our plans especially when animals are involved. Savannah and Dylan's characters were so much fun. I loved how they interacted with each other. We can't forget Sadie. She is a sweet and cute dog!

The chemistry between Dylan and Savannah is so sweet and intense! Now, Sadie has done her part. Will Dylan and Savannah do their part and realize how perfect they are for each other? This is my favorite book of the Knights of Passion series. I loved it!

FYI, contains mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This was an enjoyable book. Not the most exciiting but also not boring either. I liked both main characters and felt they had good chemistry and ALOT in common. It is also very involved in the subject of animal rescue and dogs. So you must like that subject. It does a have a little bit on baseball but its much more about dogs than baseball..

The stars of this book are Dylan and Savannah. Both grew up with terrible parents and their families are still a mess. Both also have screw up sisters and both are very lonely and afraid of having a real relationship. Savannah is a big animal rescuer and her life is all about saving dogs, so when Dyland wants to leave a dog that adopted him at an animal shelter, S pushes him to take him home instead and she offers to help.

Thats how the story begins and they get to know each other. They fall for each other very slowly and while they are there for each other, they are still resistant to falling in love and a long term relationship. In addition S is trying to start an animal rescue and she resists asking D for anything. While D worries she will ask and is using him.

While I enjoyed the story at times I wanted them to admit that they felt more. I enjoyed the book I just like stories where the star are more into a relationship and falling in love and less with a foot out of

A heart aching story of animal abuse and rescue, that at the same time is about hope and finding connections and love. The tearing at the heartstrings begins from the onset of the story building to a crescendo when Dylan meets Savanah, who shows him how to show love, acceptance, and commitment to an abused animal needing all three of those. The most heartwarming parts of the story were of Dylan bonding with Sadie...especially when he didn't even realize he was doing so.

The author has turned the concept of rescue operations into a touching story, mixing in that not only do animals need rescuing, but often times so do the humans who rescue them. Having baseball as the backdrop for the story gave an added layer of emotion to the already emotionally charged story. Understanding ball players and their challenges of forming relationships demonstrated their often need for their rescuing as well.

Having followed the series from the onset, the stories just keep getting with each new installment. Here's hoping there's more to come.

Ahhhhhh, I could devour books like this all day, every day. It had some of my most favorite things: baseball, dogs and steamy romance. Dylan Prosser is a catcher for the Georgia Knights, a pro-baseball team. A stray dog finds its way into his yard but Dylan doesn't have the time to take care of her so he takes her to a local shelter. Enter Savannah Monroe, local dog rescuer. She spots Dylan at the shelter and assumes he's just another jerk abandoning his dog. After giving Dylan a piece of her mind, Savannah finds out the real reason why he's there but still manages to convince Dylan to keep the dog, offering to help in any way she can. Savannah becomes Sadie's dog sitter and trainer while Dylan is busy with baseball. After spending a lot of time together because of Sadie, mutual attraction turns into something more but both have trust issues that threaten their relationship.

I truly enjoyed everything about this book. Dylan and Savannah's relationship progressed at a realistic rate. Though there is mutual attraction early on, neither one is looking to jump in bed with the other or a relationship at all for that matter. They really get to know each other through the connection they share with Dylan's dog, Sadie. When they do get together it's natural and based on genuine feelings that they have for each other. They're able to see things in each other that they can't see in themselves and I think that's what really attracts them to one another. I loved that baseball and dog rescue were part of the story. I'm already a huge baseball fan but this story really gave me an opportunity to learn more about dog rescue and what a feat it really is to take on. It really made my respect grow for people who selflessly take care of animals in need. This was truly a "melt your heart" kind of story with some hot romance. Don't pass this one up!!

It's hard to go past dogs and baseball players when you're looking for things of beauty, but there's so much more than eye candy to this sweet story. Both Dylan and Savannah have had dysfunctional childhoods, yet these two are survivors. Both are loners, having learned through difficult childhoods that they can't rely on others to fulfil their dreams, yet both find their lives lacking even though they didn't realise this was the case. Megan Ryder has created two people who are perfect for each other, and a pair of gorgeous canine companions who nearly steal the show at times. This was an enjoyable story to read.

The Game Changer is a sweet and low-key romance between Dylan and Savannah (and her animals of course). The story is fast moving and jumps right into things. It offers some cute moments and a couple laughs. I enjoyed the premise of the story however, I felt that there was a lack of plot going on. The main story just didn't hold enough to really keep me engaged the whole way through and I had to push past several parts. There needed to be more hurdles in this story or angst to keep things interesting otherwise sadly it was just really about a ballplayer who rescues a stray and the rescue worker he falls in love with. There were several outside characters that were introduced (sisters and a overhearing father) but nothing really happens with them and the father story line just kind of falls away. The romance was very sweet with nice pops of hot chemistry but overall the story was just lacking a bit for my taste to really keep me flipping the pages hungry for more.

The Game Changer is a satisfying romance that left me smiling. I loved how Dylan Prosser lost his heart to two ladies - his rescue dog and Savannah Monroe, a passionate animal rescuer. Dylan keeps to himself. His childhood always centered around his father's baseball career. Now that he's a player for the Knights, he won't make the same mistakes. Which is why he won't marry and have a family until he retires from the game. Savannah's life revolves around her rescues. They give her life a purpose. She is compensating for her rough childhood. When she agrees to help Dylan with his puppy, Sadie, they form a bond that is immediate and powerful. As they grow closer, I could feel the love and passion and their romance pulled me in. Since I'm a great baseball fan, I enjoyed the setting. Knights baseball is addictive. Megan Ryder not only wrote a touching romance but she educated me about the pain and joy of animal rescue. The Knights of Passion series is keeping me entertained.

3.5 stars

The writing style was good and I thought I would love it, but it just wasn't quite all that.

He was a good character, she not so much. I felt the story had a few leaps of faith like giving his house keys to someone he didn't know.

The story was a little meh for me. If you love dogs you might like it a lot more

I enjoyed reading this emotional funny read. Savannah is very passionate about dogs so when Dylan came to the shelter with a dog she just assumed the worst. They made a deal to help each other and as they spend time together feelings for each other grow. However they both have issues with their past and current insecurities and a misunderstanding placed a rift in their relationship. Dylan had to go big to get their relationship back on track. Lots of Chemistry and loved how passionate Savannah is about dogs. Looking forward to more stories about the Knights. Recommended read.

My 2nd read by Megan Ryder was another enjoyable read. I haven't read the 1st two books in this series yet but will be. I enjoyed the instant chemistry between Dylan & Savannah. The major league catcher & the dog rescuer, they both are wary of people & not sure where they stand with each other. Dylan has some serious baggage in his family, especially his father & Savannah has baggage with her sister & absent mother. They're brought together by a scared, stray dog that has been hanging around Dylan's house. Savannah sort of bullies Dylan into keeping the dog & he talks her into dog sitting & helping him train his new dog. Their friendship over the dog brings them closer together & passions heat up between them. But as always something has to happen to break up the happiness. This is a definite recommend.

This is a sweet baseball romance. I love stories about baseball players and dog rescuing is close to my heart, so I enjoyed this story. It is the third book in the Knights of Passion series and each book is a stand-alone.

This story centers on Dylan Prosser, the new catcher for the Georgia Knights. Dylan first meets Savannah Monroe when he reluctantly agrees to foster a pitbull. Since he spends so much time playing baseball and traveling with the team, Savannah offers to help with the dog. Dylan is serious and his sole focus is on baseball. He has recently been traded to the Georgia Knights and is having a difficult time trying to fit in with the guys. His teammates find Dylan hard to get to know and distant.

Savannah Monroe had dedicated her life to rescuing dogs and all her time and money goes into helping dogs and she hopes to someday open her own shelter. Dylan has never met a woman who is as fun and open as Savannah and she intrigues him. She is honest, upfront and and only cares about rescuing dogs.

I enjoyed these two together. Even though Savannah and Dylan are the total opposites, they are good for each other and they help balance each other out. Savannah helps Dylan lighten up and Dylan puts some structure into Savannah’s life. They are each so caught in their own lives they have never made any time for a relationship. Once they meet, they start open up and try to spend time together. There is a strong attraction between them and lots of chemistry. I enjoyed the story and the characters, my only issue with the book, is its slow pace, I wish it had moved a little faster.

I had previously read this book, ,but did not remember it til I started reading, it was o.k., Both Dylan and Savannah has family issues. and when you read about it, it is understandable. Dylan is a loner and thinks everyone wants something from him, and normally they do, but Savannah doesn't. Now Savannah, had bad experiences and deals mostly with dogs, so that is how she meet Dylan and they start to spend time together. Ofcourse problems arise, and feelings are hurt but they get thru it.
