This was something completely different to anything I've ever read before. The main reason I requested this was my own personal curiousness after seeing just the 'A Guide to Growing Up' part of the title and I wanted to see what this author had to say. Only later did I see the part about God and I was intrigued. As someone who doesn't believe in God it was cool to see how someone in God thinks when it comes to the topics mentioned in these which range from Puberty, STI's, bullying, accepting and taking care of our bodies, how babies are made as well as a bunch of other stuff. There are also illustrations throughout this and there are a few mildly graphic drawings of the genital areas in case that's something your not comfortable with.
So yes. This was a very new bit of reading material for me and I was intrigued when it came to reading these topics previously mentioned by someone with a different perspective and beliefs then me and I do believe this book could help kids understand whats happening with their bodies and help them figure out their own opinions on the topics this book covers.
