Description
When Marietta newcomer Elena Puente is coerced into attending a speed-dating event at the popular Copper Mountain Chocolate shop, she’s blindsided by a serious attraction to local cowboy, Wesley Banks.
Still recovering from a broken engagement, the first-grade teacher from Las Vegas isn’t looking for romance. She’s in Montana to get to know the great-grandfather she never knew existed until she found some hidden family letters. Judge Kingsley is a grouchy recluse and he’s far from welcoming, but Elena is determined to stay in town long enough to give his neglected estate on Bramble Lane a facelift.
Elena’s resolve to avoid romance is tested when she discovers Wesley is the caretaker of her grandfather’s rural property. Soon, she and the cowboy are attending more speed-dating events at the chocolate shop and she’s seeking his advice on how to deal with his ornery boss. Local gossips wager the old Judge will run Elena out of town before anything serious develops between her and Wesley. But Wesley’s a determined man, too, and he’s betting Elena belongs in Marietta forever…with him.

Elena is visiting Marietta to meet the great-grandfather that she never knew existed. She's not sure if she'll be welcomed or turned away, but she's willing to take the chance. I liked Elena. She's determined to get to know this reclusive man. What she doesn't expect is to find love. I enjoyed this sweet, emotional story. Wesley is a hard worker who wants to make a difference in the lives of young people. He and Elena form an immediate connection, but there are obstacles that they need to overcome. I hoped that they would be successful. I wanted a HEA. I love visiting Marietta and Sage's Chocolate Shop. The town's people add humor, romance and drama to the story. Marin Thomas made me believe in true love. This book is the perfect addition to Love at the Chocolate Shop series.
I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read. My comments are my honest opinion.
The ninth book in the Love at the Chocolate Shop series has lived up to the sweetness of true romance as the previous books in the series
Ms Thomas has created in Wes and Elena two characters with depth and true emotions. Many of the moments between Wes and Elena warmed my heart, bringing true joy while experiencing the growth of their love for each other. I especially enjoyed previous characters being woven into the story...as has been the case with the previous stories. Of course the Copper Mountain Chocolate Shop and its frequent visitors continue to be a favorite part of the series . I look forward to the continuation of the series, wondering which new character will be added to the storyline.
This ARC book is a complimentary copy provided by the Publisher and Netgally, I am voluntarily providing my honest re your.
Elena Kingsley was surprised to find out that she had a living great grandfather.
Judge Alistair Kingsley was even more surprise that he had a great granddaughter after burying what he thought was his last descendant, grandson Thane at the tender age of 18.
Wesley Banks was a troubled youngster aide by the judge in his youth and was the first to meet Elena upon her arrival and was instantly drawn to her, and she felt the same pull to him.....but will they overcome misunderstandings and preconceptions to find their happy ever after. Indeed, but follow the pair through their sweet courtship and giggle at the bits of humor added for spice.
Another great addition to the Chocolate shop series.
