Moonlight, Motorcycles and Bad Boys is a sweet second chance romance set in a small town with typical small town charm. Katie Sara is coming home to Paradox to bury her beloved Daddy. She never thought she'd come back to her hometown, the one she'd left at 17 and hadn't been back to since. But, her Daddy's dying wish was to be buried in Paradox, so she's back, and permanently. She's taken a job as the PE and Sex Ed teacher and even bought a house. There's no way she thought her high school love, her first love, her only love, Reiner, a now retired but still famous NFL quarterback, would be back in Paradox, too. But he is back, back to take care of his niece while her parents are deployed overseas. But, when Reiner and Katie Sara reunite, not all is happy in Paradise, er, Paradox, because Katie has a huge secret she's kept from Reiner for 11 years, and if he ever finds out, he'll probably never speak to her again. But, Reiner doesn't know about the secret, obviously, all he knows is that Katie Sara is even more beautiful and desirable than she had been at 17, and he wants her. And sets about at getting her, even though it's hard work getting her to open back up to him.

I really like Katie Sara, she's sweet and strong. Reiner, I wasn't so sure about. Yes, he's sexy and protective, but the way he reacts to things is kind of ridiculous. He's definitely not as mature or as strong as Katie. She's gone through so much, from her Daddy's disgrace, to her huge secret, but Reiner hasn't had many obstacles to overcome, aside from achieving success in the NFL. So, he's rather spoiled and throws tantrums when he doesn't get his way. And takes out his displeasure in rude, immature ways. I think Katie could have done better, quite frankly.

Moonlight, Motorcycles and Bad Boys (ugh, what a clunky title!) could have been a 5 star read except for a couple of reasons. Sometimes I was left scrambling, trying to figure out what exactly was going on from one sentence to the next, because the transitions were so abrupt. The connection between Katie and Reiner wasn't as fleshed out as well as it should have been. And there's the fact that the sex scenes are fade to black. Fade to black isn't normally something I appreciate in romances. It can be OK, if done well, and if the emotional bond makes up for the lack of steam, but here the emotional bond isn't strong enough to make up for the lack of strong sexual chemistry. Aside from these few reasons, though, I enjoyed Moonlight, Motorcycles and Bad Boys. There's a nice secondary cast, especially Felicity, Reiner's niece, and the small town setting is charming and sweet.

An adorable second chance romance. I loved Reiner's persistence with Katie Sara. I also liked how they were able to work out past hurts and move on to what should have always been.
