This is an excellent picture book, I really enjoyed it and it will definitely be a firm favourite.
I love the facts that the book holds as well as the fun games to find the monsters - 5 stars
This book is part of a series of books for children, combining fun facts and illustrations about various historic or recreational locations with a search for monsters hidden in the images. The monsters are not too difficult to find, but seem to be appropriate for the target audience. The nice thing about this book is the appeal it has to a wide range of readers--those who only want to find the monsters and those who are interested in learning more about the places. It would be perfect as a summer gift to a family traveling to Texas (or the other places in this series). I especially like the little monster at the edge of each page telling readers how many monsters are hiding on the pages. Great job with illustrations as well, as they are appealing.
This book looks like a cute one. We Texans are pretty proud of our state and I know my 8 year old twin boys would definitely love to read this cute little book. Anything at all about Texas would intrigue them, but the cute monsters would seal the deal. Thanks for the sneak peek!
I read this book with my 8 year old daughter to see what her opinion would be. She is a little beyond the look and find stage but she still absolutely loved this book as well as the rest in the series. She thought that it is a great book for little kids because it was a fun book that taught you stuff too. I would totally buy this book for my nephews and nieces. We had fun pointing out the monsters and we also learned some new facts along the way.
A quick jaunt through a very large state. This kids travel book highlights the best places to visit in text. But beware, monsters are everywhere.

What a great way to introduce children to the history and landmarks of Texas. The illustrations are bright and colourful. Some of the monsters are harder to find but that's all part of the fun of it. I enjoyed this search and find book a lot.
