Description
Can you learn leadership from Paul?
Most Christians know something of the Apostle Paul’s life and ministry, but what about the incredible team of leaders he assembled and mobilized? Who were they, and how did Paul lead this team to accomplish God’s purposes? Even more, what leadership lessons can we learn from their successes and failures, and how can we apply their strategies today?
These are the questions driving Paul and His Team. Readers will gain leadership principles and practices by seeing how this early team of church leaders:
- Adapted to cultural, doctrinal, and interpersonal challenges
- Found common ground with their audiences
- Led baby believers toward maturity
- Stayed united despite differing opinions
- Equipped others for the work of the ministry
- Conducted their lives with self-discipline
- Built and maintained strategic partnerships
- Navigated sensitive cross-cultural situations
- Persisted through difficulty, frustration, and fractured relationships
- Persevered when ministry was discouraging
- Developed leaders to replace them
For those in leadership or interested in Paul’s life and ministry, this book is a storehouse of relevant insights. Each chapter highlights certain members of Paul’s team to offer, as a whole, a textured portrait of the church’s early band of leaders.
Let’s not reinvent the wheel in our leadership. Learn from the men and women God used to build the church, that your leadership today may continue the work begun over 2,000 years ago.
Includes group discussion questions at the end of each chapter, ideal for a church-staff study.

I love to learn as much as I can about the early Church and the beginning of our walk in Grace and the transition from the law. Ryan shows me some new points that excite and challenge some of my assumptions. Also it has raise a question not addressed but like all good teaching is a sign of quality to have question that continue to push us forward. So I recommend this book to you and hope it pushes you in to new thoughts and questions.
