Description

Trace Dellon knows exactly what he wants: the white heat of the spotlight. When his band Black Light is offered a record deal, Trace grabs for it. He will do anything to make it.
Bass player Asia Heyes knows what he wants, too. It's not fame or the adoration of groupies. It's Trace. It's always been Trace. Though it's been unspoken between them, Trace's other lovers -- his audience -- push Asia aside.

Advance Praise

“Martha Allard writes like the love child of Charles De Lint and Poppy Z. Brite.”

— Philip Brewer, author of “Watch Bees”

“Martha Allard creates dark literary magic with her debut novel Black Light. She combines the world of ’80s glam rock’n’roll with vampiric lore a la The Hunger, to create a compelling, haunting love story all her own.”
— Dana Fredsti, author of the Ashley Parker series

“Black Light examines the devastating price of fame and living with love unrequited through a haze of sweat and grit from the ’80s. Heartbreaking and bitterly romantic, Trace and Asia will haunt you long after the final page is turned.”
— Kacey Vanderkarr, author of The Stone Series

“Glittering and grimy as a smear of black eyeshadow, tender and cruel as a midnight kiss, Black Light is a heartfelt paean to modern love in all its unlikely and dangerous incarnations.”
— Amy McLane, author of “A Is For Apple”
