A graded reader for intermediate-level (B2) learners of English as a second/foreign language, or younger native speakers of English (high elementary school/junior high or middle school).
Big Ideas is a new series of readers--most will be collections of essays, articles, and fiction centered around one theme or topic, but each level also has a "variety pack," such as this one, with five or six different units and two readings for each unit.
These graded readers are meant for students to improve their reading fluency. As such they work for extended reading outside the classroom, SSR times, or in-class quiet reading times. There are reflection questions following each reading that could be used for discussions or writing assignments. Additional worksheets for students and teachers may be found on the publisher website (link inside the book).
