Four larger-than-life American folktales come alive in this collection of comics from award-winning creators and rising stars! The tall tales include Paul Bunyan, Pecos Bill, John Henry, and Johnny Appleseed. For ages 8-12.

About the Authors
Martin Powell has been a freelance writer since 1986. He has written hundreds of stories, many of which have been published by Disney, Marvel, Tekno Comix, Moonstone Books, and others. In 1989, Powell received an Eisner Award nomination for his graphic novel Scarlet in Gaslight. This award is one of the highest comic book honors.

Sean Tulien is a children's book editor living and working in Minnesota. In his spare time, he likes to read, eat sushi, exercise outdoors, listen to loud music, and write books like this one. Sean has loved the legend of Pecos Bill ever since he was a little cowpoke, so turning the tall tale into a graphic novel was a big thrill for him. Sean also thinks cows are really funny, and his favorite animals are manatees, wolves, and eels.

After working for more than 10 years as a children's book editor, Stephanie Peters started writing books herself. She has since written 40 books, including the New York Times best seller A Princess Primer: A Fairy Godmother's Guide to Being a Princess. When not at her computer, Peters enjoys playing with her two children, hitting the gym, or working on home improvement projects with her patient and supportive husband, Daniel.

About the Illustrators
Aaron Blecha was raised by a school of slimy, yet gooey, giant squids in Wisconsin. Since then, Blecha has been working for more than ten years as an illustrator and designer for a hodgepodge of fun clients in the animation, publishing, toy, and entertainment industries. After many years in San Francisco, he now calls London his home.

Lisa K. Weber is an artist who lives and works in Oakland, California. She graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York with a BFA in Illustration in 2000. Her whimsically quirky characters and illustrations have appeared in various print and animation projects for Scholastic, Graphic Classics, Children's Television Workshop, and many others.

Nelson Evergreen lives on the south coast of the United Kingdom with his partner and their imaginary cat. Evergreen is a comic artist, illustrator, and general allaround doodler of whatever nonsense pops into his head. He contributes regularly to the British underground comics scene, and is currently writing and illustrating a number of graphic novel and picture book hybrids for older children.

Michelle Lamoreaux was born and raised in Utah. She studied at Southern Utah University and graduated with a BFA in Illustration. She likes working with both digital and traditional media. She currently lives and works in Cedar City, Utah.
